how do I fix this?? my app won’t open all I want to do is play sims but this pops up and won’t go away (origin never opens and loads)

I have a SimCity (2014) CD in case, and a portable cd drive (I have a newer model computer that doesn't have a cd drive.) I found it yesterday and I want to play it as my digital one doesn't work and can't be uninstalled. I don't know if I can just get a new key, for EA app, or such, but I need help figuring this out. Every time I try do download it, it gets 97% completed and then this pops up. I have deleted some of my apps and cleared my cache but I am completely stuck and need some help.

So I am trying to play Sims, I have played for years and have put so much money into dlcs etc. I tried to log in email and password all good but then it wants a code from my email. The code never comes I have checked my spam I have checked everything you can possibly check. Currently waiting for live chat through another EA account I created. I use Gmail and I checked history in there to make sure it's not the wrong email. Checked blocked list and nothing. I just want to play Sims 😭😭🤣. This is why people pirate games like I should have from the beginning.

So I have original copies of a bunch of Sims 3 games on disk. I want to redeem the codes in the EA app, but I know I already used them once a long time ago. The maxis app is no longer a thing, and I really want to play The Sims 3 again. I've tried figuring out how to contact EA, but every time I try to go to the help page, it just gives me the stupid AI help bot that never answers my questions correctly. Is there a way I can somehow transfer my old Sims 3 data to the EA app? The data might still be on my original Sims 3 base game disk, but I'm not sure cause I don't have a disc reader readily available. Does anyone have any advice and or tips?

Hello, I've heard that Origin is being shut down in favor of the EA app, that's all well and good, but I'm confused. I've looked into it, and all sources point to "EA is shutting down origin because Microsoft will stop supporting 32-bit applications." I don't see how that would be the case, as microsoft isn't stopping support for 32-bit applications, rather, 32-bit versions of windows, which doesn't mean that they aren't supporting 32-bit applications entirely.

So I wanted to ask here, why is origin shutting down, and will games like The Sims 3 be affected? Also if the games are going to be affected, are they going to patch them? I know The Sims 1 and Sims 2 got a re-release on Steam and EA App, but I hear those are just re-releases, not patched at all according to reviews.

Also, I play Sims 3 a lot, and it is incredibly broken purely due to the 32-bit nature of the application, it runs a lot of processes so it causes the game to hang, Mac OS users probably don't have this problem because they have a 64-bit version of the game, is it possible that they will be porting Sims 3 to 64 bit if this is the case?

Edit: Sims 3 runs bad if you have something like a story progression mod, it breaks because it requires much more resources, 32 bit games can't run more then 4gb of ram for example, maybe even more limitations, also, apparently I'm a mac user, I'm on Windows.

I can't take the ban to my account and EA's support doesn't tell me the reason.

What the fuck like it seems like a high red flag but I am currently in contact with EA Support but why does it look like such an obvious scam I’m really unsure how to proceed?

No idea if I can post it here but on r/Sims4 I need to have a certain amount of karma.

But that's besides the point. I am from Poland and was trying to make my ts4 English but on EA for some reason the only language I can choose from is Russian, Czech, or Polish. So I found a tutorial of someone doing that through steam while keep having the game and dlcs on EA, there was a difference that the person in the tutorial was downloading ts4 again because they had a new computer. The tutorial was basically that they downloaded the steam version of ts4 and EA version in the same folder, I had ts4 already installed and thought that moving the steam version to the Electronic Arts folder would be enough, it wasn't, the folder didn't even move there, worse - when I thought that maybe somehow the language got to the EA version and decided to see if it works it kept saying it had the wrong version of ts4. After deleting the Steam version it still wouldn't work with the same pop-up (?) so I gave up. I looked up if the sims that are saved in my gallery will stay there and if I will have access (I just made a new sim) and it said it does and I will, so I copied the mods set them on the desktop and decided to reinstall ts4. Now here's the issue, I can't download it??? And with all that info, does anyone know how to fix it. Again sorry if this isn't the community for it but I think that will be the closest thing because I can't post on r/Sims4 for now. And sorry if I made any English mistakes.

so, years ago i used to have origin and i played sims there (i haven’t played in years!!), but i changed computers and wanted to play again but i can’t download origin.. only EA and it says my email isnt valid. but that’s the only email i used to play! pls help???

Hello, today I was issued an account lock for that "We wish to notify you that we have found your account to be in violation of our User Agreement or our Terms of Sale, and due to the nature of this violation we are left with no option other than to permanently close your account with immediate effect."... I check the ToS and User agreements after and literally I broke nothing there. Contacted live chat like 3 times and they always ask me to dispute... Did anyone face such weird account lock before and could solve it anyhow? I am playing on PC.

Hi I keep trying to sign in, and get to the part where it sends a verification code to put in, the problem is the email is not coming through (yes I've checked spam folder etc), so I went to the page where you can talk to the live chat for the help and I can't even talk to any body without signing in which I cant do cause the email isn't coming through, had anyone had this problem I have no idea what to do

Hi Hi! I've gotten a new computer and i downloaded EA and for some reason the download option for sims 4 is darkened. I thought maybe because my packs were uninstalled so i installed them first but i still cannot download it. I could play it just fine on my old computer but now that i've gotten a new one it doesn't work. Does anyone know why it doesn't let me?

(also plz dont mind my hours hahaha)

As the title says, this freaking POS app keep giving me the EC:10005 since this morning. Nothing has changed. I havent installed a single update, game or software, nothing.
I've tried restarting my PC, repairing the app, and even uninstalling it and reinstalling but nothing works. All my other apps that connect to the internet works completely fine. Only this piece of crap won't work.

Alternatively: Is there a way to ask for a full account refund lol? I mean, Ive bough hundreds of $ worth of games that I simply can't access anymore? It just makes 0 sense.

I have not received any of the verification emails from EA that they were supposed to send me for me to be able to login, I want to be able to speak to a real person so that I can just get this issue fixed without only seeing the same 5 steps that didnt help me the first time. I wanted to start need for speed 2015 for the first time on my PS4, but I get error code 40010000, which says that I should connect to the EA servers. I connected to the internet, restarted the console and it still doesn't work

i m playing from steam so idk how to connect to my acc

Hello! I’m wondering if anyone else has this issue. I was playing and everything was working fine yesterday, I quit everything properly and then today Origin just would not load. I’ve tried force quitting, restarting my mac, and even deleting and reinstalling Origin. It still will not work. If anyone has any tips or if anyone’s going through the same thing please let me know! I know they’re closing in April so maybe that has something to do with it.

I’m hoping someone here can help. I’ve been playing The Sims for over 10 years and I’ve purchased a few Sims 4 DLCs over the years, including:

• Island Living
• Get to Work
• City Living
• Vampires
• Dine Out
• Vintage Living

Some of these were part of bundles and others I purchased individually. I know it isn't a ton of them, but at the time I was a student, it was expensive, and now all of it is gone from my account. My playtime history, which had hundreds of hours (I would say over 300 hours), is also missing. 😩

I’ve already followed the steps EA lists for missing content (restart system all that), but nothing has worked. I’ve opened two separate cases with support, but they don’t show up on the website, and I haven’t received any confirmation emails for either case. It’s like they’ve disappeared into the void.

Two years ago, I updated my email with EA Support because I lost access to my old one. Everything worked fine after that—my library and progress were intact. But last October, I briefly uninstalled The Sims to free up space on my PC. Now when I try to reinstall, it says I only acquired the BASE game last year, which isn’t true.

I know it sounds impossible since my purchase history is also missing, but I genuinely have no idea what’s going on. I’ve spent so much time and money on this game over the years, and it’s heartbreaking to see it all gone.

Has anyone dealt with something like this before? I feel stuck with no clear way to fix this. Any advice or guidance would mean the world to me.

I still can’t believe that in what—2 or 3 years?—EA still hasn’t deigned to give us cloud saves on this awful app they are forcing us to use.

My main gaming PC is broken and needs a new part that’s on back order from the manufacturer. It’s been months and no word so I finally just spent some money I saved on a new rig. Now that I’ve got a computer again, can I manually move my saves over to a new PC by using an external drive? I’m asking because I don’t want to bother with the old PC until I actually know this is doable.

Did had many games, mostly some cheap old goodies from Humble Bundle. Hear the news about origin shutting down so followed went to EA. Successfully used my old Origin login to log into EA but none of my Origin games are listed there. EA helpdesk is not really responding to my questions and I don't know how to keep my old games.

Most are just for nostalgia like Dungeon Keeper. It's just nice to still have these old gems. Would be a shame to have lost them all. Also some old savegame progresses would be lost.

Edit: Purchase history in my account data is correct but there are no games listed in the library.

I can’t access my origin account. I forgot my password and it’s forcing me to install a helper. I’m not very tech savvy and have a-lot of money on my origin account. I tried using the EA help site but had a hard time navigating I greatly appreciate any help

Origin will not get past the initial upload. I have been trying everything for the past 4 hours to get this game to load. I have never had an issue like this. I’m playing on Mac OS Sierra. I’ve deleted the origin app, downloaded the Reset Origin Tool, cleared all my caches, my internet is working just fine, I’ve restarted my router, restarted my PC, etc., etc. I do not know what else to do and I AM LOSING MY MIND. Does anyone know what the issue might be?

I had an origin account to play BO1, I want to find my account again but I don't know how, it seems origins is being killed off so, do I have to make/use an EA account and try to transfer from there if I don't have the origin app anymore? Or is it lost forever?
