Hi! Two days ago I tried playing a game, but for some reason the EA App just doesn't open.
I tried everything, deleting cache, restarting multiple times, changing the time settings, running as administrator, but nothing helps. I just want to play the games I bought. Any solution? Thanks!

Hey guys, need some help here. So, two nights ago I was playing Battlefield 4 on Steam and then went to bed. Today, when I woke up and tried launching the game, EA gave me this error message: "The app crashed unexpectedly. We ran into a problem, but a quick restart should fix the issue."

I've tried everything I could think of but nothing seems to work. I'm really frustrated because I paid 1200 hryvnias for this game. Any suggestions on what to do? Thanks in advance!

I was recently hacked and got my steam and origin account stolen, when I contacted EA support they kept asking for bullshit verification info that is more than 10 years old and if you dare to fail to remember 1 question they will stop helping you and end that conversation as per their shitty policy, however, the person who hacked my account seems like he didn't face this issue as all was done within a couple of minutes.

Meanwhile, with the steam support they confirmed the information using the location where the account was always being opened from and gave me my account back in a couple of minutes.

So, is there a way to retrieve my account by contacting someone higher from the EA support?

Immediately after replacing the motherboard and CPU in my PC, I was asked to log in like this when launching individual game titles. I closed this window because I hadn't finished the work yet, but presumably this is what prevented me from connecting online. (Titles that I logged in to after acknowledging the problem can connect online.) If anyone knows what the conditions are for opening this window, please let me know.

Not only was the EA Help full of misguided advice, but it also asked me if I knew of the existence of this window. to which I replied that I don't know, so it didn't do me any good.

I setup a case # with EA help to resolve this issue. Never had an issue prior with EA and suddenly I get a notification in the EA play app that certain games and DLC's have been removed from my account. EA help cant fix the issue so I am making a reddit post. I am missing over $100 dollars in suddenly removed games. So where do I go to get these games back? Why is EA stealing? I have never had a stupid play membership or subscription with you guys I have only ever had games I directly purchased to own. I made multiple cases afterwards and no help saying these games do not exist ect. I take screenshots of my purchase history verifying that I own these games and they see that its tied to the account, but still will not help. Do I have to sue you EA? Because I definitely will!

So i went to link my Xbox account to my ea account, just to be told it was already linked to one, so i signed in through xbox and found that there was actually 2 xbox accounts linked without the option to unlink. Spent 2 hours trying to get it resolved, and since i had no idea my xbox was linked to it(i never used any email even remotely similar to the one on the ea account) i couldnt verify i owned the account, only account activity has been me playing EA games through the xbox account. I just need it unlinked so i can link to another ea account. Help lady was useless, claimed to be human but responded like the most annoying cheap-ass cortana/siri possible if someone here can help it would be greatly appreciated, I can also completely prove I have ownership of the Xbox account.

wow hundreds of dollars down the drain for an old comment I don’t even remember the reference to I haven’t played sims 4 in over a year..is there anything I can do?

More than one and half year maybe two I haven't played games due to no PC/laptop, I usually check my mails and sometimes do check spam mails for any mails that did not went to inbox, someone managed to login to my account (origin/ea) and changed mail to some russian mail (which got my account to active ban), I get security code for logging in every time in origin/ea, in that spam mail there was an option to change mail back which I clicked and changed it back to my mail, my account was not showing or logging in if I haven't changed it back to my mail, I mailed EA help about this they mailed me back about further investigation but now I am not able to login to my account it's completely disabled. Is there any chance that my account will be restored or all money I have spend on my account is just gone to waste,
I have bought games like BF3, BF4, BF1, BFV in that account, and also had some much played time in apex legends too.
if yes then good bye to EA for losing your customer.

This is of last week (4/120/24). I got backyard stuff on 4/11/24 for free, purchased Werewolves game on 3/10/23 and cats and dogs on 7/18/20, and got holiday celebration on 6/15/20 for free. It shows all of these are purchased but when I try to access the game it acts like I don't own the DLCs. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, did app recovery, repair app, and tried updating mods. I finally spoke to origin customer service via messenger (no option to call) and was told they cannot change anything because the developers made it and algorithms (?) I was told the issue was sent to their team and to come back to the chat "after some time" so the new person can start where we left off.

Has anyone on Reddit have the same issue? Has anything helped you?

I'm trying really hard right now not to send hate mails to the devs...

trying to open origin on mac after 1/2 years of not touching it. got the infinity loading crap. did the reset origin. got the little text document. still won't load. uninstalled re installed 3/4 times. still stuck. tried to deactivate the security thing on the ea website. it was already on deactivate mode so i turn it on, try again, still wont work, turn it off, try again and still the same....

i can't find any other solution online. bf says just pirate the games and i swear im this close 🤏

it ended up making me download the ea app (which i couldn't find a download link for on their website????? so i thought it wasnt out yet....)

Literally tried five times in live chat answering all the questions they gave me, all the personal info i rememberd from so long ago. I tried this few years back too but this is still such a mess. My attached email is long gone, account made like 10years ago and as a console player, I only purchased stuff from the ps store rather than from their app. I even told them the only way I got in was with my linked ps account. I gave them my purchases from there and still they tell me my details do not match. Why changing an email is this hard EA?

Can I just unlink my ps account and make a new one? EA didn't give me a solid answer to that either.

Today it was 734 then changed to 13 hours then 230 hours then 162 hours now 308 hours

I've been using Sims 4 for a very long time and haven't had any issues until now. I use a Macbook Pro to play Sims and I even have the Origin App downloaded on my launchpad. Ever since Origin announced that the EA App will be replacing Origin I haven't been able to load Sims 4. I'm able to open the Origin App but everything is a clear white screen and Sims 4 won't load. I clicked the 'learn more' message that I kept receiving from Origin and it just directs me to this online browser: https://www.ea.com/en-gb/news/the-ea-app-for-mac

And to be quite frank it doesn't give me much information about how to fix Origin or make the switch😭. All I want to do is play Sims. Any advice on how to fix this or help me download EA would be so helpful!!

Hello all, today I received an email saying if I didn't update my account in 30 days, my account would be archived due to inactivity. I have logged into my account now, does that count as "updating" it? Or do I have to change the password or something else?

As much as it infuriates me, EA nuetered the steam versions making it so you cant use the dlc or import your mass effect 1 save to mass effect 2, and requires you to use the origin version and pay for the game twice, i begrudgingly decided I’m going to get EA play through origin if it means I can get around these issues. But can I transfer my save? I don’t want to start over

When I click on the 'play' button it'll try and open sims 4 but the app just closes again and the origin window will pop back up on the screen like nothing happened. I've tried uninstalling the game, repairing the game, updating it as well as updating my Mac, but nothing is working. I've taken the mods folder out to see if that works but it doesn't. I've moved my EA folder to my desktop and added all the files that were floating around on my laptop (just screenshots from the game etc) but that hasn't done anything either. I'm losing my mind because I don't know what else to do short of wiping my Mac entirely and re-downloading everything (which I obviously don't want to do). Does anyone know what the hell is going on?

First off I want to say that i've had it with this shit company. I tried playing Fifa 23 on EA Play and it also gave me the same issue. I was so excited to play Battlefield V but honestly now i just want to shout at an EA employee for no reason. Same old same old (as i've seen in the community), game won't open. I press play, EA AntiCheat opens up, closes back down and opens up EA again. Now i've tried installing certificates, reinstalling the anticheat, reinstalling EA App and tried to play it through Origin but couldn't cause my EA Play subscription won't show up (Xbox PC Pass). I've tried talking to someone through support and nothing so far which is no surprise because their support website is horrible. If anyone has any other fixes, anything out of the box, or anything at all tbh please let me know because I thought i was going to have a nice weekend playing this game and now i'm just steaming with anger.

when i launch the EA App, its just crashes and let me send crash report

what i tried:

1. re install the app
2. remove EA app with Revo uninstaller and install again
3. remove the entire Visual C++ redistuable files and re-install

i also get a Windows event viewer error after the app crashes:

"the EABackgroundSerive service is marked as an interactive service, however the system is configured to not allow interactive services. this service may not function properly"

first of all, download the installer for an older version of origin. after it has installed, turn off wifi on your computer before opening it, otherwise it'll prompt you to either update origin or play offline (but it doesn't actually work, my game wouldn't open this way). only when the log-in screen pops up (it should say online login is unavailable) do you turn on wifi again; wait for it to refresh and it'll reload the log-in screen. then, you can log-in and use origin normally.
