I just got this game for the ps2 and while the campaign is very fun, the instant action part can be fun but I cannot play the command post mode without running towards a command post, waiting for it to be captured, and then while it’s being captured like 3 of my other Command Posts get captured so then I gotta run all the way back, capture another, rinse and repeat until either I win or lose. And the capture the flag isn’t too much fun imo. Should I stick to the Galactic Conquest mode? Or are there other ways to have more fun without buying it on a pc and playing online?

PS console: Anyone know why the gameplay has been jerky and staggered the past few days? Are the ancient servers finally dying?

Thankfully, it seems like all the issues with not automatically receiving medal awards for one’s you’ve gotten 64+ have been resolved. BUT now I’m experiencing a new issue where I’m getting those awards automatically but I’m not receiving medals during gameplay when I should. There are still medals I want to build up to that 64+ point and I’m not going to get to unless this is resolved.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips or advice on how to fix this? Any help will be appreciated! This is my favorite game and I just want this remaster to finally stop having issues! 😩

If not will it ever be? How much is fixed because I heard the launch was horrid and I don't wanna waste money on a broken game yet again

Hello there! It's that time of the week! I will be hosting servers for BF1 on Playstation, Steam, and Switch! The servers will be up around 5pm EST and will remain up until 8 or 9pm EST. Feel free to swing by and play some games. There will also be a special "Out of Bounds" server on Playstation where leaving the battlefield will not kill you, so you're free to fly around as a jet trooper clone with unlimited jetpack fuel, exploring the terrain and battling other lone explorers in uncharted territory. Hi all, got back to battlefront after a long time but I just queued indefinitely trying to join online servers, I tried Oregon and France with no luck, how to join online games please ? (I'm in Australia)

I'm playing on PS4, after I updated the game I keep getting this glitch where the camera constantly pulls up and makes the game unplayable. Has anyone had this and found a fix any help would he appreciated ..

Title says it all

They're everywhere, you have to do something about them, and your commander keeps constantly telling you to do something about them. Makes sense, right?

Looking to relive my BF1 days, anyone still playing this or squads I can join?

I am stuck on revenge on the empire mission where you have to conquer yavin 4 but I am completely stuck, their ai is like a horde, they are mega aggressive and constantly spawn right on the objective so there is very little breathing room, this would be fine if they didn’t have that god dang overpowered tank that shoots a barrage of missiles, and the ai tanks always gets destroyed by them, I can destroy them if I have a tank but I don’t always have one ready and I cant capture command posts while in a tank, the furthest I gotten is stage 4. Where you need to defend a command post from the rebels for 2 minutes, sounds easy? Well not for me, they ai immediately rush you and your allied ai are usually never there or just plainly dead, and again their tank always gets high ground and fires down on me and there is nothing I can do, and if I focus to much on the tanks then I will lose to many reinforcements and I will loose and their tanks respawn after 1 minute so it isn’t even worth it, Does anybody have any tips, this should be pretty self explanatory but I am not on elite

Can others also please raise Tickets on the Aspyr Support page to help fix Wrist Rockets in the Classic Collection?

1. The original Battlefront 1 (2004) game (Playstation 2 or Xbox) had immersive explosive splash damage. So Rocket launchers (all factions), EMP launchers (Republic), Thermal Detonators (all factions) and Wrist Rockets (Super Battle Droid) would cause an "Area of effect" shockwave that kills units, or sends them flying. This was Core gameplay and helped balance the factions!

2. The original disc actually still works via Backwards compatibility on newer generation Xbox consoles like a Series X and the "ragdolling" and Splash damage still works. For some reason, in the Classic Collection Version nothing happens when it comes to Wrist Rockets*. A direct hit might kill one unit, otherwise, a graphic of an explosion happens, but there is zero damage, no splash damage. Which breaks immersion, balance and isn't the original game.

3. Wrist rockets having splash damage as the original game designers intended keeps the game balanced and it is very fun to play as the Droids to keep Troopers or even Enemy heroes at bay!! Please note that this issue of explosive damage also affects other factions like the Republic Trooper's EMP launcher which also does not have the right amount of Splash damage in the Classic Collection.

4. I just hope others can also Raise a Ticket to report the Bug in the Classic Collection with Aspyr to FIX the Wrist Rockets' damage BACK TO THE ORIGINAL GAME so that Splash damage ensues. Then the Fun can begin again.

5. If enough people can report the Bug here, then maybe it finally gets fixed in another Update. You can report this bug (and others) via their Support page here: https://support.aspyr.com/hc/en-us/requests/new

I'd really appreciate if others could do this. I was really hoping this game could let the fun begin again.

P.S. *Apparently, (from somewhere else on Reddit) it has been mentioned that Pandemic Studios originally coded Damage to a set number of pixels. The game back then was in Standard Definition (SD). When the game is retextured to 4K, the same number of pixels are now in a smaller space, so the code has to be adjusted to reflect the upscale. Now clearly for the original disc on a newer generation Xbox console, the Backwards Compatibility team must have done that right when it came to the game being upscaled to High Definition (HD). So hopefully this should be fixable by Aspyr if that is indeed the case.
