It's taking me hours to download anything, anyone else experiencing this? Mediafire and others are not slow at all, what's going on?

Finished off the last event requirement(to "Host a social event") a few hours ago... Got Gold but what a nightmare to accomplish... 1 "Weenie Roast", FIVE FIRES AT THE SAME 2 SEATS BY THE CAMPFIRE!!! D; 1 of the hosts, the elder brother(the household is a brother and sister along with the brother's wife...and 5 cats) caught on fire 3 separate times, and 2 of the guests caught fire once each. All were safely extinguished and since the household are Spellcasters the brother's wife fixed the damage with Repairio and cleaned up all burn marks(including burned Sims) with Scruberoo which got her the final Spellcaster rank and finished her, then current, Aspiration.

Probably needless to say, but the firepits/campfires/whatever got removed AS SOON AS THE WEENIE ROAST ENDED!!! No way were those firehazards being left anywhere near unattended Sims!

So, I've just finished setting up my sim's new home, and I want them to be off the grid. I have an Easel, a Book Shelf, a guitar, and the new journal from "Life & Death". While this new Journal allows you to increase your writing skill, it doesn't allow you to WRITE A BOOK that you can sell, and get royalties for. That makes me sad.

This mod is making me want to walk into the ocean. I’ve downloaded it correctly - in theory that shouldn’t be hard. Just moving the correct folder into the mods folder per the download instructions. But doing that gives me a “not installed correctly” error message. I’ve tried literally everything. I’ve deleted the local cache, I’ve triple checked I’m downloading the updated version, restarted my computer, etc.

All of my mods are updated and working, except this one.

If anyone has any ideas, that would be amazing.

So my sim has the best date ever goal, and I'm on a gold date, but I can't find the option to proclaim best date ever. Any ideas?

I'm asking regarding the newest pack, Life and Death. My sim got a random bucket list goal, which is to create 5 masterpieces. The thing is, he hates painting. The goal doesn't speak specifically about paintings, so would any other creative skills count towards this? Like writing or maybe even cross stitch?

I'm playing a translated version of the game, so it's hard for me to guess what the developers meant by the word "masterpiece".

Wondering if others experience the same? (I've looked online but haven't spotted if others are experiencing this too). Everytime I want to 'listen to whispers', my sim has the cloud above her head stating she can't reach.

Also, when trying to summon Alice, noone appears.

Hi everyone.

I am currently trying to find CC for as many DBZ characters as I can find. So far, I have Vegeta + his armour, and Goku’s hair.

I have searched high and low and I cannot find Goku’s iconic gi for the life of me. He is currently wearing orange prison scrubs… LOL

I am hoping to also find Gohan’s hair, Trunks’ hair and, this may be a long shot but, any of their iconic outfits. There is so much more I would like to do but I would be here all night listing the characters off.

If anyone knows of any CC related to Dragon Ball please don’t hesitate to comment or send me a DM! I’m desperate!! I’ve seen so many screenshots of DBZ CC in the sims 2 online so I know it has to be out there somewhere (unless it’s lost media, god forbid)

Hey guys, I was wondering if I should get Life & Death because I really like the funerals and more realistic reactions to death but I was wondering if it's possible to disable the ghost gameplay? If not, do townies roam around as ghosts when they pass, outside of the new world? I like to play realistically for my current save and I wouldn't want to see bunch of random ghosts and all. Thank you!

My dad got me into Sims when I was a child, waaay back with Sims 1. He bought me all my games and expansions, and then would poke fun at me for how many hours straight I could spend on it. Most of my evenings from age 8-16ish were spent hanging in the living room with him, playing Sims while he read.

He died out of the blue a couple months ago, and I didn't find out for 3 days. The night he died, I got this insane urge to play Sims, but I really wasn't feeling good energetically for some reason & didn't wanna fuss with my laptop. I wound up downloading a mobile interior design game that was the closest I could get to Sims, and I played that game NONSTOP, like seriously all day for those 3 days, until I found out he had passed. Idk what came over me or why or how, but it's really weird looking back.

I saw the ad for the Life & Death pack last night and did a double take. At first I thought it was a joke or a fan concept, but I'm pleasantly surprised that it's a real pack. Very oddly timed for me lol. I started playing Sims 4 again a couple weeks ago but only have the base game at the moment (and found it a lil boring).

Tldr: How is the Life & Death pack w/o any other expansions? Would it be exciting enough on its own to keep me going for a little while? Anyone here grieving irl that is also playing that pack? I'm so curious about the options and what the grieving processes are like. I hope there's "drink yourself to near death" or "don't eat for days" or "sleep solely to escape reality" options 😂 I'm still waiting on the couple hundred bucks to come from my dad's bank before I would be able to buy it, but wouldn't it be funny if "he" bought me his last EP and it's about dying hahah

Is anyone else experiencing excruciatingly slow download speeds from sfs? Taking me hours to download a file thats only 50 mb. Every other website, such as mediafire or dropbox, is completely normal though.

With all of the traits (or lack there of) in the Sims 4, which do you want and how do you think they should work?

I’m getting back into Sims 3 and I decided to make my sim-self and I realized a lot of my traits are mood focused (over-emotional, excitable, neurotic-) it got me thinking about how despite Sims 4 introducing proper emotions, we don’t really have some of these more emotion focused traits like we had in the Sims 3.

I think it’d be really fun to bring back over-emotional, with it working either 1 of 2 ways. Either moodlets last longer (like you are experiencing the mood for a longer period compared to other sims.) or moodlets vanish quicker and thus you experience a lot more moods in a day, maybe you even gain moodlets quicker from activities? For example you dont have to play chess as long to get focused but it also dissipates quicker. Curious on yalls thoughts!

Hello, I been playing the sims 4 and I have my grim event all the way up to week six, and now it’s not letting me do the challenges anymore when there is still two more to finish. And my sim households are not responding to commands like eating and changing outfits. I have taken off my packs, and redownloaded the whole game on my xbox nothing seems to work. Is anyone else having this complication? I have troubleshooted everything. Nothing is working.

There used to be a great thread over on the old forums where someone would share their lookbooks based on new packs (as well as take theme requests). I think that thread got deleted when the forum moved over, and I'm wondering if anything like that exists elsewhere. I find myself dressing all my sims the same and am looking for some inspiration

I've been trying to download sim mods on my acer desktop and it isn't working, when i click on resource to put the mod in there it doesn't work:(

I’ve updated all my mods but recently whenever I go back into CAS to edit a family (like if they have children and I wanna edit them), I load forever.🙁
