    Will the grind ever stop!

I'm just down lately, been here on bed for an hour or so trying to sleep. But , to no avail. Bachaa maa paxi ramro gariyela bhanera padheko chha, BE maa tespaxi paisa kamaiyela ramro gariyela bhanera padheko xa, feri BE paxi bahira jana ko laagi grind gareko chha. Aba najaanjel hola ki naholaa bhanne, gayepaxi ko grind jhan kati holaaa. Nothing interesting in life! I go along well with people, do have good friends, but I don't know why, I feel tired of all of this. Sometimes, I feel energetic, yo garchhu tyo garchhu hunchha, ani ali days maa feri tyo ni subside hunchha. I feel tired, idk, how to make life interesting? How do I be optimistic and look forward, be hopeful in life? Nothing exciting in life, just surviving....

help me find this song please

I've been trying to find this song (I'm not sure if it's a song anymore) since diuso but I haven't been able to so it's actually killing me, I remember really liking it because the video reminded me of Ankita Pun's maili, I don't remember anything else except the husband leaves his wife with a camera while doing abroad but he never returns and she keeps on waiting for him with the camera while reminiscing about him, and she's wearing a bulaki

is it just me or other people face these types of situation on local buses?

So today on the public bus i got on I had to share the seat with a dude. I dont know if it was just me or was that dude just idk but he was constantly trying to lean his body on me and kept pushing his arm on the side of my body. I tried to move away but he would act as if he was adjusting himself spread his leg even wider and try to idk have contact with me. Idk was i just reading too much or did that dude really had bad intension and btw the road condition was very good so it was definitely not the bus's fault why he kept on leaning towards me. idk these days most of the times i get on public buses i end up in one or two awkward situation like such where the dude is constantly showing shady behaviors. Today to i didnt want to cause a scene as im not very good at public spaces. Was i just over self conscious or do ladies in Kathmandu do end up in these kinds of situation or is it just me??

Announcement: Update on how we handle Relationship posts

    Namaste r/Nepal,

We hope you're all doing well. As the moderators of this subreddit, we've noticed an increasing number of relationship-related posts cluttering our feed. While we understand that relationships are an important part of life, we also want to ensure that our subreddit remains a diverse and engaging platform for all members.

To address this, we've decided to implement some changes regarding relationship posts:

    1. Automoderator Filters: We've configured Automoderator to remove posts containing certain keywords related to relationships, such as "love," "boyfriend," "girlfriend," and "relationship." This means that if your post includes these keywords, it may be automatically removed.
    2. Thursday Megathread: We've been running a weekly megathread every Thursday dedicated to discussions about relationships. This thread serves as a designated space for all relationship-related discussions. We encourage you to utilize this megathread for sharing your experiences, seeking advice, or simply engaging with others on the topic.

We understand that some non-relationship posts may inadvertently include these keywords. If your post is wrongly removed by Automoderator, please don't hesitate to reach out to us via mod mail or our Discord server for assistance. We're here to help!

These changes are aimed at improving the browsing experience for all members of our community while still providing a platform for meaningful discussions about relationships.

If you have any queries about such posts, please feel free to ask them below.

    Sincerely,

    r/Nepal Moderation Team

    Changing Nepali Personal Names

I've been noticing a trend lately on how Nepali names seem to be changing. There has been a shift towards simplicity and shorter names, with many sounding surprisingly similar.

Growing up, I remember Nepali names being longer than today's standard and in meaning, often reflecting our cultural heritage, family history, or significant events. They were elaborate, with deep significance attached to each syllable. But lately, it feels like there's a departure from that tradition.

Nowadays, I'm meeting more and more people with names that are brief almost to the point of being minimalist. It's not uncommon to encounter names like Aarav, Diya, Aisha, or Rohan. These names are beautiful in their simplicity, but they also seem to lack the intricate stories and meanings that older, more traditional names carried.

Moreover, there's a noticeable trend towards names that sound similar. It's like we're gravitating towards a set of sounds or phonetic patterns, resulting in a plethora of names that share common syllables or endings. The syllables being used in a name are also in a decreasing trend. For example when someone named Samikshya is named Sami, Sumitra is named sumi, Bimala is named Bimu or Bima etc.

Another interesting observation is the decline in the use of middle names like Nath, Kumar, Bahadur for males, and Maya, Devi, Kumari for females. These suffixes once held significant cultural and familial meanings, but they're gradually fading away from common usage. It seems like we're moving towards a naming convention that prioritizes simplicity and brevity over traditional markers of identity.

This might be influenced by global trends or perhaps a desire for names that are easier to pronounce and remember, especially in multicultural settings.

I find this evolution intriguing, but at the same time, I can't help but wonder about its implications for our cultural identity. Are we losing something valuable by moving away from the elaborate names of our ancestors? Or is this simply a natural progression reflecting the changing dynamics of our society?

Is it really that hard to keep your hands and penis to yourself?

so i was going to college this morning in a public bus. it was 9:30 so everyone can imagine how packed the bus must have been at office time ajha bhaktapur bata kathmandu gairako. i was sitting and right beside me was a man in his late 40s standing up. i had earphones on tesaile paila ta i had no idea on what was happening ori pori, could say i was constantly zoned out. after a while i felt something against my arm. it was that uncle ko pelvis region. i didnt think much of it as the bus was packed and it could have happened accidentally. i moved my arm away ani carried on. feri ekchin ma same thing. bus hallirako thyo ekdam manche pani dherai thyo bhayo hola jhukkera i thought. feri ekchin ma samee thing aba ta atti bhayo bhanera i moved and his pelvis couldn’t reach me anymore bhanum. ettikai basirathye ekkasi a hand reached my face ani fingers were ran through mero cheek. i was shockedddd. i looked up and that uncle was looking here and there like he had no clue about what he just did. i dont know what happened then in my system but i couldn’t talk i couldn’t move i froze and just sat there. i started bawling my eyes out. i couldn’t even speak a word. i reached mero bus station ani i cried the entire walk to college. college pugepachi pani all i was thinking about was this incident. i couldn’t focus. after a while i started getting angry at myself. i thought i should’ve stood up for myself. i should’ve screamed at him. i should’ve atleast done something people would understand and support me but i didn’t i just sat there crying. this is not the first time something like this has happened to me and i was scared of telling my friends because one time somebody said “tasanga matra kati huncha esto” so i just kept my mouth shut i have exams coming up and im trying to study but i can’t concentrate i dont know what to do i cant get that moment out of my head i am so angry at myself i want to go back in time and do something about it. i dont wanna sound extreme but i feel like i could kill him right now. i just needed to get it out of my system thanks.

TL;DR- Some random uncle in his late 40s touched me in a public bus and i couldn’t stand up for myself now im angry at myself and can’t stop thinking about it.

Haina ho ke vairako ho ke facebook ma ? Yesso time pass ra entertainment ko lagi facebook ma video ra post herxu. Tara euta khale topic wala video facebook ma dekhairako hunxu ke. Tyo topic ho "mulbasi" athawa "mongol" politics . Afulai mongol athawa mulbasi vanne haru hindu ra bahun chettri lai besari gaali gari rako hunxa ke. Ani Nepal ma naramro kura haru jastai ki corruption ko kura ma ( ahile corruption josle pani garna sakxa jasto sukai caste, religion ra race hos) galtee bahun chettri ko vanera gaali halla garne garirako hunxa yaha samma ki uni haru lai bhartiya sarnarthi vanxan. Nepal mongol ko ho athawa mongol race superior vanera soch rakhxan jastai ki hitler le aryan race superior ra germany aryan race ko ho vanne soch ratkheko thiyo.Tara tyo manxe haru afulai mongol athwa mulbasi vanne haru dherai jasto ta Tamang , Rai ra Limbu lai maile dherai dekhxu tara Gurung ra Magar chai dherai dekhdina. Tara kina ho ke ? Yesari herda ta mero man ra deemag ma Tamang , Rai ra Limbu haru ko barema negative image banai rako hunxa.

Ajhai pani yo mongole haru le bahun chettri lai varatiya sarnarthi vanera gaali garxan tara founder pani bharatiya hun vanera na bujheko herda hasouxan. LOL

Is load shedding a new boon for students now?

So, this is based on my today's experience.

Aaja din bhari batti gayo ani aaja ma ghar mai thiye ... at first I was restless ... mobile rw laptop duitai ma charge sakkina laako raixa so ava chalaunai milena ... khasai movies ni download nagareko charge ni testai 30-40% thiyo .... time time ma indicator ma gayera batti aayo ki bhanera hereko aaudai aayena .... suru ma tw lyang lagyo .... but after some time, it felt as if I had more time than before .... I did things I was procrastinating for months ... ekkasi kasto mental clarity bhaye jasto lagiraa ... kei distraction nabhaye jasto full focus ... tespaxi tw maile padna parne 2-3 subjects I studied ... I know I would have definitely skipped those boring chapters ... ajhai kati haptaa lagthyo hola tyo herna ... but I studied it properly today ... only because batti thiyena k garum garum bhayo ani

All of a sudden kasto life nai clear bhaye jasto bhai diraa .... those 4-5 hours were more insightful and relaxing than tons of series I had watched online in the past .... mero life ma kati distraction raixa bhanne thaa bhairaa ... nobody called nobody message during those hours, but still constantly messages check garne baani ..... ekkasi aafule kasto time waste gariraxu jasto lagyo .... i don't know if anyone can relate to this .... but just give a try....it's going to be insightful for you too.
