LGE Worst Service

I moved into a new place a few months ago and called LGE and went online to transfer service. Recently while in my new place I was informed that the service hasn't been transferred. So I called LGE customer service and asked what went wrong. They told me that I never did a transfer of service which is a lie because I was on the phone with one of their representative and have a witness at my new location that I made the call and transfer. My new place wouldn't have even allowed me to move in if that wasn't done so I know I did what I was supposed to do. So after a few months I realized that I was paying LGE for an old address in which I moved from months ago because LGE failed to properly do their job. I spoke with the representative at LGE and they said they'd do an investigation of what happened. They said they didn't have any record of a transfer of service but saw I did a transfer of address. Why would I do a transfer of address and not service as well I told the representative because I have a witness I did both. She told me that if I wanted to recoupe any money that I ended up paying on the old address that I hadn't lived at in months I'd have to go to my old landlord. I feel because LGE system and their rep didn't properly do their job so now I have to fix their mistake is so unfair to customers. I reached out to the old landlord and she said that that's not her fault and is not reimbursing me for any money that was spent on utilities from a place I moved out months ago and gave her keys back. The old landlord hired workers to repaint and have been using electricity in the old place for months I ended up paying for. The entire situation is just unfair and unethical. Basically all the representative was able to do was transfer service moving forward but any money for those few months that I paid for a place I wasn't living at they said they're not responsible even though it's initially their fault.

Christmas gift subscription suggestions

My mother recently retired and I’m looking to get her some type of gift card or subscription in the city to keep her active and out of the house. $75-$100 range. Any part of town is okay.

Any suggestions?

Dumb question

Probably been asked a billion times… but.. we are from out of town and my partner is going to be working a short time position at Nortons Children’s hospital. I found a hotel that is about half a mile away called Cambria. Is this a safe and walkable area? For reference, we walk around Chicago and Nashville frequently but are being warned about this area. I’m not really sure why because it seems fine. Thank you! Update: seems fine. People are dramatic. That’s all. Thanks 🫶🏻 Update 2: Some of yall need to learn to scroll and stop being keyboard warriors lol. Im just asking a question about a place I know NOTHING about.

Brownsboro Zorn

I am moving to Louisville and looking at an apartment in the Brownsboro Zorn area, specifically the Fitzroy apartments. I was told that this area wasn’t the most safe and my fiancé is worried. Is that true? Is this an area that we should avoid?

Food reviewers in Louisville?

Louisville has a great food scene. I’d love to curate a list for locals and tourists so they can find some cool spots in our city!

Small or big! Bring em on.

Singles night

Trying to get the word out and see if anyone is planning to go? I’m (32f) going with some friends (25-33 f) and we’re a little worried there won’t be many men as we’ve gone to other singles events and it’s been mostly women. Whatever your gender identity, come hang out. Some of us are newer to Louisville and would love to make friends too

Epidural Steroid Injection-Pain Management

Hey everybody. Looking for recommendations for a pain management office. I strictly need someone for epidural steroid injections- I do not take any medication, and I don’t need any besides the epidural injection for relief.

My background: I have had it with Commonwealth Pain and Spine- they were great with my initial appointment but my physician left and it has been downhill from there. Have been to Dr. Usmani at Norton 5 years ago, but their appointments are out until February and I cannot wait that long. I have had issues since May of this year and not being able to move at the age of 25 is driving me insane.

Louisville Neighborhoods/suburbs for families

New to the area, looking to buy a house and need neighborhood recommendations. Budget 550k

2 adults, a 1 yr old, 2 large dogs. would prefer a family friendly neighborhood. House needs to have a yard and garage. Neighborhood does not necessarily need to be walking distance to activies but we run/walk around our current neighborhood daily so a safe neighborhood with side walks is important to us.

Husband will be working at Fort Knox but willing to commute up 50 mins.

we've looked at Middletown, hurstBourne, Seneca gardens, st Matthew's (generally small yards with no garages), highlands (likely out of our price range for what we want), fern creek, jeffersontown-need help narrowing down some areas within jeffersontown. Looking for thoughts on these neighborhoods or other suggestions!

Pizza Place on Hurstbourne and Stony Brook circa early 90's.

Trying to remember the name of a place we would go to before/after movies at Stony Brook in the early 90's. I think it is where Jumbo Buffet currently resides. Walking in, they had puppet/animatronic that "played" a keyboard. The booths either had a tv or a video game built into the table. A model train would deliver your drinks.

I stole this idea.

Everyone has places they enjoy in town that may struggle to attract business. Once a month, we select a restaurant, local coffee shop or another spot and spend money. We can help small businesses in our city without having to try and get the attention of some influencer on TikTok or Instagram.

Hotel in safe neighborhood

My family and I are passing through later this week and I am looking for recommendations for a hotel in a safe neighborhood/area for the night, preferably with onsite free parking and a restaurant fairly close. I will be going to a show at the Old Forrester’s Paristown Hall so I would also like to be within decent driving distance from it. We have never been through there and don’t want to make reservations somewhere and regret it. It doesn’t have to be super fancy but we are trying to keep under $150/night.

Thank you!

Eyeglasses covered by Medicaid

I was wondering if anyone knew of a place that covers eyeglasses through Medicaid around the area? I’ve called a few places and none seem to cover them. This would be for my 5 year old son. Thanks in advance!

Drivers Licensing - walk in only?

All 4 Louisville locations aren’t even currently accepting scheduled apts. I’ve tried to mail in twice for renewal (can’t do online, have address change) and both times they “never received” it so in person is my only option. Been trying to deal with this for 3 months now.. and I have a newborn. Any insight on how long wait times are for walk ins? Hurstbourne or Bowman Field would be my best options.

Piercings

I’m looking for an awesome reputable piercer to get a piercing done for my birthday. I had a girl in mind, however she has since stopped responding to my messages which is bothersome. She has great reviews and comes from a medical background which made me feel comfortable getting pierced by her. With that being said, I’d love y’all’s opinions on who to go to for my piercing. TIA

Best places in Louisville to find used magazines affordably priced?

I am hosting a vision board party with my close friends in the next few weeks and I was hoping to get some suggested places of magazines I can find adorably priced. I’m sure it could be resourceful at thrift stores but I’m only sure of one that has magazines and they’re not always stocked with them. Thank you ahead of time for your suggestions.

‘Transformative' mixed-use development planned for downtown Louisville surface parking lot

Color me somewhat skeptical that this will ever see the light of day, but these are exactly the types of projects I would love to see downtown. There are so many ugly surface lots that could be used for much better purposes.
