My buddies birthday is next weekend, around the 28th, and we're looking for a fun bar in town to hang out at for the night. All of us are older (late 30s) and live outside of town and we're all out of touch on where the fun places are in town anymore.
Did anyone see a shooting star or perhaps a UAP falling near nicholasville?
I drive on Winchester road over NCR toward Hamburg several times each day. Most cars exiting off NCR to go eastbound Winchester think there is an 'on ramp' as they approach Winchester when in fact it just straight up empties into the right outbound lane--no merge lane, no nothing. I drive by accident after accident scene at that intersection. I just don't understand why they don't do something to improve the situation.
My sister-in-law and her husband live in Lexington. I’m in Virginia. Are there any arts, cultural, or experience type gifts you all would recommend? Like a pottery class or museum membership? Thoughts?
Happy holidays and I enjoy the sub!
I'm planning on going to lights under Louisville next week and I'm curioua as to which day might be less busy
My job is having an Ugle Christmas Sweater party and I have never owned on. Any good place for one in Lex? Or is Walmart the best option?
As we've got a sick household on our hands, we scheduled a Walmart delivery of groceries and they delivered it to the wrong address. Like down the street from us. So we walked down there and got it--lookin like porch pirates--and brought it home. Not too happy under the circumstances. Was wondering how to rescind the tip if possible or cut it in half. I mean, that's their only job--to deliver--and they screwed that up and made it harder on us. TIA for any tips
I live near Beaumont, I work from 9a to 11p and it’s ruined my exercise schedule this year. Not really worried about price, thanks in advance!!

I was at the Richmond Rd Kroger a few nights ago, and this middle aged white man (clearly on drugs) was telling me all this stuff about how his mom is a famous country singer. I'm a young girl by myself but I just kind of brushed it off. I live in the area so I was there again yesterday getting some items. I saw him but, I don't think he saw me. I don't know if he's homeless or just roams around that area or what.
This morning, I was back there again (frequent Kroger visitor, lol). I see him outside on the corner of the plaza while I'm in my car. He gives me a dirty look like he wants to literally kill me, and starts SCREAMING at me about how he's seen me "four f--ing times now", literally hollering at my car until I drive away.
I'm definitely a bit terrified to go back to that plaza myself... I was curious if anyone else is having this experience or if this guy is just freaking out at only me.
Does anyone in Lexington have hardware/software packages to tune/flash a Honda/Acura ECU? Hondata, K-Tuner, etc?
I'm kinda new to Lexington..what news station do you guys get your news from in the morning. Which one is best and why
Gave me a good fuckin scare this evening hitting a speed bump in a spot on the road that used to not have a speed bump literally yesterday.
I'm going to Keeneland for a bachelor party in April, first time at the track for all of us (we've done Saratoga and a couple of the other NY tracks a bunch).
Anyone have any tips for what we should do at the track in terms of tickets / tailgating / logistics?
The way I see it we could do:
- General Admission. This seems similar to what we do at Saratoga, with free reign of the grounds, standing on the rail, etc. But it seems like you might need a car for the tailgating piece? Are there picnic tables like in Saratoga? Overall, it seems like this might be tough to navigate logistics with it being everyones first time here, we probably wont have cars to tailgate. Is it BYOB like Saratoga?
- Grandstand Seating: Takes some of the issues of logistics out of it, we would have our own seats. Are you free to roam around, go down to the rail, etc?
- Lexington / Kentucky Room: Costs more, but again takes a lot of the guess work out of it. Is it too formal in there for a bunch of late 20's guys who want to have fun at the track?
Just looking for some tips and insights, and if anything else fun to do on a bachelor party, happy to take some tips.
What ever happened to the flower lady? She was on every set, just for a brief moment.. Haven’t seen her in years!
I found this lovely pup near Bethany Road. Doggo is in Jessamine County Humane Society now.
Family and I went out last night to several areas but light viewing seemed pretty slim compared to years past. Thanks in advance for any recommendations and Merry Christmas 🎄🎁!!
My fiancé and I ran into a super nice guy at the Liberty Road PO Thursday. I hope you read this, thank you. You don’t know how much you inspired and helped me. Again thank you and I hope you have the best of holidays!
What are some good furnished apartments in Lexington (1 bedroom) that’s $1,400 or less per month? So far I’ve only found student living, and that’s fine but now that I’m graduated I’m done with those. Any landlords in here with anything available starting July 15th?
.
I’m hoping there is a Tennessee fan base here in Lexington who are gathering to watch the big game on Saturday. As a UT graduate living in Lexington, I’ve been outnumbered by UK fans for years, but I’m hoping to find a TN crowd for tomorrow night. Can anyone clue me in?
Getting in before New Year’s to see if anyone out there is interested in partnering up for fitness and weight loss. This past year has been rough on me physically and mentally. I’m looking to get myself back into better shape. It is helpful to me to have a partner that I can check in with. Even better if we can coordinate meeting at the gym for workouts.
I currently belong to YMCA and go to the north side location, but I’m open to alternatives if that works better for someone else.
If it matters, I am a 50 year-old white man. I am going to be following the keto diet. At the gym, I typically lift weights and do some cardio on the bike or rowing machine.
