Onsale ticket questions/advice

New LC fan and football enthusiast here. Trying to grab some tickets for the opening but it requires an early access code. Is this typical? I’ve got a seatgeeks account and signed up for onsale but wondering if there’s anything more I should do?

Toying around with the idea of at least a pair of season tickets but not sure my wife, clients or friends would be interested in a yearly commitment with me, so I’m trying to get things scheduled early to plan.

TIA

Anyone going to the Charleston game?

It's good timing for us since it'll be the first game of the season and we're getting a new minivan, so we need to break it in with a nice 9hr drive.

Has anyone been to their field before? Is there a certain place we should sit? Are their fans pretty chill? Restaurant recommendations?

I don't have high hopes for the game with our squad getting gutted, first game of the season, and we're away, but it'll be fun to go support anyway!

Signing Alert - Zach Duncan

Looks like we peeled off an M901 lad from their bankruptcy paperwork.

This is another defensive signing on the heels of adding Kevon Lambert.

Someone might ask, "Why sign 2 defensive middie with Elijah seemingly departing the club?"

Great question. First, Elijah produced A LOT of tackles. We controlled the middle of the pitch extremely well, especially with the number of minutes played between he and Davila the elder. Also, this allows Davila to slot into a more natural 8. Another reason is "porque no los dos?" Options are a good thing. It also allows us to form a 3-5-2 in addition to our current formations.

My prediction is that in the first 10 matches of the season we are going to see a lot of formations and Danny is going to try to identify our best 11 through trial and error. This means we will probably go 5-3-2 to start. Don't be disappointed if this is the case. We have to try out these new players and figure out where we are most efficient as a squad. We have a wealth of talent coming in and are in a much deeper place than our competitors. Champagne problems!

Signing Alert - Kevon Lambert (M)

https://www.rsl.com/news/real-salt-lake-loans-d-m-kevon-lambert-to-louisville-city-of-usl-championship

Seems like the replacement for Elijah has been located.

I believe this is a solid loan from RSL that may turn into a future signing for us. He appears to be a defensive middie, and may be able to play the role of a holding midfielder in a stacked center 4-4-2 formation (Davila high, Lambert low).

My concern is 10 yellows in 22 matches. Could be a sign of lack of discipline, or just situational yellows. My hope is that it looks like he has a ton of experience (esp at the international level) and that translates into maturity for our squad in the middle of the pitch.

I like this signing and am surprised that this level of talent is available. I'm sure there was a price to pay, but we have the bankroll if the Elijah transfer is completed.

Welcome to the best club in US soccer Kevon.

Schedule Out

Why the heck did they do the Lexington SC game on Thurby. I’m so disappointed we usually go to Thurby and I don’t see how we’ll be able to do both.

New management ?

Hearing things from a few sources that have told me might be looking at some new stadium management come next year.

Wonder what that will entail as far as “new events” cutting into our soccer season.

Eat it RI

It seemed like the league wanted so bad to send them through after beating us and Charleston on the road in the East.

I think their coach is a turd. Their state sucks because it isn't even an Island, and when you say that they say smugly, "Well the original name is Rhode Island and the Providence Plantations" and we all know what happened at Plantations back in the 1700s.

They suck and I hate the newly spawned rivalry since little brother Indy Eleven has been munching turd sandos since Hoppenot dropped them in stoppage years ago.

Here's to beating RI 4-1 and 3-0 next season!

Rhode Island Already Tired of

Anyone else sick of the Rhode Island coverage 😂. Maybe I’m butt hurt but I’m so tired of it. They have like 8 players that played in MLS or were drafted to play there. Yes that’s not the end all be all but I feel that whoever their owner is paid to play. Maybe I’m mistaken and this is a miracle run and I’m just a sore loser.
