so i’m wanting to double major in elementary education and music education. eled seems like it’s a pretty easy major and i’m excited to pursue it. however, the music education program is what scares me. how rigorous is the program? and how difficult is it to even pass the audition - how hard to they normally judge? at the moment i’m wanting to play finzi’s five bagatelles prelude for clarinet - do you think, if played well, that it would get me into the program? i’ve heard nothing about the music program whatsoever so it’s spooking me.
so with that being said: education majors - what did you think of the program? did you enjoy it? were the professors good? and music majors - how hard was the program? how time consuming was it? what is the audition like?
thanks in advance yall!

I am currently a Computer Science student who transferred to WKU, and I have been here for 1 semester. I recently changed my concentration from the general to the systems concentration. None of my advisers can seem to answer my questions about the classes I need to take.
In my degreeworks, I know I must take two natural science classes with a lab, but they have to be specific for science and engineering majors. What does this mean? I am taking a physics class now, does anyone know or have a list of classes that qualify for this that is not chemistry? I would take another physics class, I enjoy physics but I do not know what qualifies. I have already taken chemistry and apparently it counts for only the natural science section of my collonade. finding this out may prohibited me from graduating on time, so I really need answers soon.
Is the general concentration really not accredited? I dont mean to spread this rumor more than it already is, but I am genuinely concerned. I did not plan to attend graduate school, but if I changed my mind in the future i am worried about this preventing me.
Are there actually any programming/computer science national associations or clubs on campus? I understand CS majors dont want to talk to each other but surely it cannot be this dry on campus. I would really like to find like-minded people who are as interested as I am.
What does anyone know about research opportunites on campus, specifically of CS professors? I feel underqualified to jump ahead and email a professor without knowing what is available.
If you read this far, I very much appreciate it. If you provide answers to any or all of these questions, I appreciate it even more.
Hi! I currently attend one of the regional campuses, but this Saturday I'm going to the main campus to attend a meteorology event. I haven't been to the main campus before. I was just wondering if anyone knew of a good area to park. I know I'll have to pay. The event is at Odgen Hall. I know how to get the main campus, but I am completely lost on where to go once I get to the campus. I know a lot of parking areas need a pass and I don't have one. I'm sure I'll have to walk a good distance wherever I park at. I would really appreciate any help!
Hey guys! So I’m a transfer student from a community college looking between UK and WKU for the spring semester.
UK sent me my financial aid award package for the spring semester 4 days after I submitted my FAFSA to them. When I reached out to WKU, they told me this information wouldn’t be available to me until December. This is a problem for me because I’m moving across state to attend college so I sort of need to know if I can actually afford to go there before I pack my things up, pay the orientation fee and move lol.
Did this happen to anyone else? It feels weird to me that UK can tell me how much aid I’ll receive, but WKU just can’t until I pay them the orientation fee?
lol i know this is dumb but i want to look good & im debating just skipping the pic all together

Dr.Blevins class specifically. I’m having trouble in this course as the only source for studying is the text book. No power points, study guides, etc. I was just seeing if anyone had any advice or study guides because the book is a behemoth and getting the information to stick has proven challenging.

My name is Christian Reisner and I am currently running for SGA Freshman Senator. I believe I could make a trumendous impact and would love to allocate some of your votes. If it’s no bother, please go to topnet and vote “Christian Reisner” as your senator.
i plan on taking an online class next semester and am a freshman with no experience, what should i expect?
I'm starting my MBA here and they make you pick 2 certificates before beginning. I've never even heard of certificates before and had to google what they even were. Do employers or recruiters care about them or is this just somthing WKU is doing to get more new graduate students?
I am on the ground floor of Cherry and I legit cannot find the bathroom. Directions please!!
does anyone have any cool and unique on-campus study spots? (besides the obvious ones like the commons)
My GrubHub hasn’t been working since last night. I don’t want to wait until huge lines and I can’t order at most places because they only take GrubHub orders. I’ve shut my phone off and reset it multiple times to no avail. I also called the restaurant group and they were no help. Any suggestions?
I lost a pink metal security wallet on campus, probably in dsu or the commons. Keep ur eyes peeled plz that 25 dollar fine for a new id would suckk
Hello! I just got accepted into the spring semester of the above Master’s. I do not have a background in this at all (bachelors in Psych) and want to hear any advice and experiences for those that have been in this program. What are some things that I can do to help myself come January?
I'd love to be able to find a full-size replica of the WKU vs Rice helmet. Does anyone know of a source that may have it? I found some minis on ebay but prefer full size.
Hi All!
Is anyone in these programs? Are they research heavy?
Goal: Clinical Psychologist.
Back Story: BA in Psychology from UK. 3.27 GPA. Didn’t really connect with my professors. I have taken some classes at my local community college. The only research experience i have is through undergrad. (the year I was going to apply for research positions at UK-COVID happened and it was hard to figure out how to get research experience. Advisor wasn’t much help back then.)
Still trying to decide on which masters would be more appropriate. I know the MA in clinical psychology would be a no brainer for some, but not for me. I’ve taken the GRE once and I didn’t do so well. Im going to take it again, but I’m looking for options if I don’t get the scores I need.
I know most people go straight to a PhD. I am not in that position to do so. Would really just like some advice on which of these programs would help for the end goal?

I am international student who was recently accepted to WKU, I applied for the fall term but was accepted late so I have to defer my enrollment to the Spring Term. As international student, I only know about the TIPI scholarship. I wanted to ask if an international students can get more aid and how will apply for it. I have started the process on the TOP Dollar Portal tho. Also can someone elaborate more on the Honors College and their services. Thank you.
