Somebody on Colbert’s show, behind the camera, stands way too close to some microphone and his laughter, moans, grunts and other noises he makes in response to the monologue, blasts over the crowd responses. I find his voice distracting and it detracts from the pleasant laughter and other sounds from the audience.

Examples: After Mr. Colbert’s “hog anus” joke last night (Thursday), this unseen guy laughed loudly several times. Then there was a huge “OOOH” after the Lindsay Graham joke, some slow “ha-ha-ha”s after Biden’s uncle joke… a loud AHH after the Guinea Pig joke… Lots of giggles during the vulture bit. and there were more words, laughs, and noises, and it’s been happening every night for quite a while.

I’m glad the jokes are funny enough to make his own staff laugh, but who among the “behind the camera” staff has a MICROPHONE and why isn’t it turned OFF during the show?

Has anyone else noticed this jolly fella who can’t keep quiet while doing his job? Just curious…

Just saw on Tiktok that Stephen is doing the show from the Auditorium theatre for a week in august. No one seems to know how to get tickets. I don't know if it will just pop up on the normal website, or if it will be some other way. I searched around and went to Auditorium Theatre website, no luck. If anyone knows- please inform me :)
