Where can I watch episodes of Late Show with David Letterman?

I often become interested in watching a specific interview he’s done and a lot of the time, YouTube and other websites don’t have it. I’ve been trying to find a website that has more (or all) of his episodes available, for a very long time now. I know this is a long shot, but there has to be something. Maybe a streaming service I’m not aware of? Anything?

It’s upsetting that he’s had arguably the best celebrity interviews of any late night host, and it’s so difficult to watch them.

Would appreciate any advice. Thank you.

Paul Shaffer guest hosting?

According to Paul's wikipedia:

Shaffer guest-hosted the show four times when Letterman was unavailable: February 9 and 11, 2000, during Letterman's recovery from his quintuple heart bypass surgery; March 24, 2003, when Letterman was suffering from shingles; and January 19, 2005, when Letterman went to receive an award for his racing team's victory in the 2004 Indianapolis 500.

I can't find clips of these shows online -- does anyone remember what they were like? Did Paul sit at the desk and interview guests? Did he do a monologue? Was it a different kind of show?

Young Frankenstein clip on The Late Show?

Hi. Did Dave like to use a clip from Young Frankenstein? I came across the clip where Gene Wilder yells, "What's the matter with you people? I was joking! Don't you know a joke when you hear one? HA HA HA HA!!" and it seemed super familiar to me (moreso than the rest of the movie, which I've seen several times, but not in recent years), and I though maybe it had been a clip they used on The Late Show.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZdUO3fizDg&t=74s

If it's not from The Late Show, can you think of another show that did use it?

Thanks!

If I can be serious for a moment (and I feel that I can) - Dave Lines

I recently said this at dinner and it's straight from David Letterman's mouth. Is there anything you find yourself saying?

When I was younger I think I adopted quite a bit from Dave that's worn off over time (I stopped calling all drinks beverages, for example), but I still will occasionally pronounce "statistics" as "saaaatistics" and pull out a "there is no off position to the genius switch," as well as Are ya like me?" and "I do and do and do for you and this is the thanks I get?"

Curious what others picked up that stuck.

I'm looking for a clip of Letterman where they sent the cast of CATS into a restaurant and nobody noticed, so they sent Moses in. I think Biff was the guy on scene. Anybody know what I can search for or where to find it?

Can someone help me find a clip with a particular guest?

I vividly remember an interview he did with a guy in a leather jacket who I believe was a race car driver in some capacity. I watched it in high school and remember thinking the dude was so cool even though I didn't know anything about racing.

I managed to find it awhile ago and I remember the comments mentioning the driver had actually died which bummed me out.

Can anyone help me remember who the guest was ? + Bonus points if you can find a link with the clip

Anniversary or Man on the Street, Little boy coughing for talent then to a song

I guess it was either late 80s or early 90s. There were a bit where Letterman was walking house to house interviewing folks. One of them was a little boy that made a weird coughing sound with this throat (obviously, but you hat to hear it). Letterman made his usual weird expressions, then he walked off. Later Letterman was walking and he could still hear the kid making the coughing sounds, and he turned around.. sure enough there was the little boy making coughing or throat breath sounds. It might also have been to the beat of a song.

This was either an anniversary special, or a random man on the street interview. Can anybody remember this? I've asked some die hard fans who can't seem to recall. I've also combed through many Anniversaries on YouTube. I know it was a bit, and I know it was Letterman.

Am I misremembering?

I could swear that in 1994, there was a Late Show Top Ten about Bill Clinton not getting respect but I can't find any evidence of it.

It was around the midterm elections and his poll numbers were really low.

The one that sticks out to me was that he got bumped from Larry King because the interview with Joyce DeWitt ran too long.

Does anyone else remember that?

Does anyone know where I can find the Dave's Late Show Monologue after Johnny Carson dies?

The monologue was made up of jokes sent to Dave by Johnny Carson, but Worldwide Pants has done it's thing and removed it from the interweb

Anyone have this?

I’m looking for footage of Chuck Berry performing “Johnny B. Goode” on the Late Show in the early - mid 90’s. It was on YouTube a very long time ago and has since been wiped off the face of the internet. If anyone has it or can find it I would much appreciate it

More moments like this?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kFwmLfYtQ40

Specifically, more moments where someone points out Dave's genius, kindness, talent etc. and he shuts it down. Growing up this was always something I admired about him, even just becoming a fan in the early 2000's (90's kid).

Anyone know whre I can find episode 1593 of Late Show with David Letterman?

Powderfinger and George Carlin... what an amazing show that must have been. I actually wanted this for the Powderinger performance (which I can't find online), but anything with Carlin in it is a treasure. Anybody know how could source the episode. I tried googling but am out of luck.

Searching for Thanksgiving Trivia Quiz clips

Hello. I’m on the hunt for clips of the Thanksgiving Trivia Quizzes Letterman did about the Macy’s Parade each year. I remember a few were on YouTube a couple of years ago but they’ve since been taken down. Anyone have any copies?
