Let's go through the logic here.
Jon shows a clip of a "fascism scale between 1 and 10" at 12:12 Makes a joke about that sounding ridiculous or fake because fascism cannot exist in a small form, but either exist or not
"(Do I not know what fascism is?)"
Bit plays out
13:27
"Things are going to get a little fascisty" Apparently, he changed his mind by now and is saying that one can rate fascism on either being little or big (which he just made fun of) and uses it to say fascism is here, but don't worry about it Now, why wouldn't one worry about fascism Jon? Is it maybe because, after you're glazing of the judiciary at 10:09, and you're love for the constitution and it's judicial review at 11:27 you conveniently left out the logic that Trump is appealing to break you're beloved constitution,
a move you find quote 9:55 "authoritarian",
and not seem to be worried at all that Trump stacked the Supreme Court in his favor (and by breaking made up rules Obama was subjected to btw)
which has already proven it's unloyalty to the constitution by being implicated in a coup, being openly corrupt, uncaring for legal precedent lasting decades and granting the president the rights of kings by declaring "official acts" as immunity from the law,
which means the president could assassinate his political rivals according to the opinion OF A JUDGE SITTING ON THE COURT ITSELF
A MOVE WHICH SHE ALSO CALLD DISASTROUS FOR DEMOCRACY
If there is ever a time to worry, I think it would be right now
So I must ask a simple question Jon, what does equality under the law mean?
If it means everyone is subject to the same laws, you should be worried you're beloved constitution just got torn apart over the last couple of months and you should not be downplaying the power grab (which is what you're doing, proving you're a hack)
And if it means not everyone is subject to the same laws,
Why did the founding fathers fight for independence and win with the justification: "no taxation without representation" if they did not mean it
Either way, you can love the constitution all you want, but by not respecting the founding fathers principles you might as well be loving a piece of paper filled with gibberish.
Which, on a last note, explains quite a bit why you're hating the founding fathers at 9:11.
You cannot be bothered to fulfill their vision of a better world, which they fought, died and created you're beloved constitution for.
Has anyone heard anything yet? What have timelines been like in years past?
I’ve got a priority ticket for the Feb 6 show and was trying to hunt down who might be hosting that week and who the guest for the show is. I saw Kosta is hosting this week, so maybe it’s either Klepper or Lydic?
When the show starts the Trump segment, there's a brief intro showing Criminal Trump walking on water in front of the White House. There's choir music.
...the sound clip they use is weirdly inappropriate. It's a line from the English patriotic hymn 'Jerusalem', and the words are "in England's green and pleasant land."
It feels very weird to hear that in association with FOTUS.

Pretty straight forward.
I will be attempting to attend my first filming - it’s on a Monday so it may be more crowded.
Does anyone have any practical advice or ways to maximize that I actually get in as a general ticket holder? Planned on arriving by 2:30? Is that too late? Any chance I get there super early and still don’t get in?
Please and thanks on any advice or tips!

Thought this might be a welcome post here. This was posted by a friend of mine who is currently “boots on the ground” in the LA area working with search and rescue teams. As my friend states, poop bags and collapsible bowls may not seem like much, but for those that lost everything they are much needed and welcome essentials. Thank you The Daily Show and Comedy Central for sending them!
I wanted to show someone Jon’s rant from 2009. Thankfully TvTropes has a part of his April 7th speech saved. But I can’t find the clip.
I think that reading it will put Monday’s Opening in context:
I think you might be confusing tyranny with losing. And I feel for you because ah... I've been there. A few times. In fact, one of them was a bit of a nailbiter. But see, when the guy that you disagree with gets elected, he's probably going to do things you disagree with. He could cut taxes on the wealthy, remove government's oversight capability, invade a country that you thought should not be invaded, but that's not tyranny. That's democracy. See, now you're in the minority. It's supposed to taste like a shit taco. And by the way, if I remember correctly when disagreement was expressed about that president's actions when y'all were in power I believe the response was "why do you hate America?", "watch what you say", "love it or leave it", "suck on my truck nuts".
Anyways. This is the 30th season of the show. CC only has the last 3 seasons on its site.
I really don't find "Sports Wars" funny. I get a chuckle or two out of some of the insults, but mostly I just sit through it stone faced. And yet they seem to do it once a week. I'd rather see a correspondent report. SW seems like more of a once a month thing.
I'm surprised Jon is casually shrugging at all of this happening.
