To be honest, as a Chinese living in China, I've watched The Daily Show for over a decade and have tracked at least 4 US elections (plus this one).
I like Jon Stewart because he dares to speak the truth. (Followed by John Oliver, and I'm not a big fan of Trevor Noah.)
I remember when he interviewed David E. Sanger and said, How about a mask we might as well rip off? That was the first time I've seen a leftist public figure openly admit that the moral mask of America exists, with American interests behind it.

Both Jon Stewart and John Oliver have been driven to madness by the current political climate in the US, and I don't think they'd be opposed to it if a country emerged to lead the third world in policing the behaviour of the US to bring it back to sanity and more moral behaviour.
Of course I don't think Jon Stewart would be much of a fan of China either, but things seem to be changing in some interesting way because of the situation and attitudes in the US.
I'm curious what the community thinks, what do you guys think?
When he made the joke about the last time Trump had this many white people in the palm of his hands he was trying to impress Jeffrey Epstein. What did that mean?
I want a video of the speech on what was supposed to be his final episode on August 6th 2015 of him trashing Fox News one last time. Can't find it anywhere. Some one really needs to post it to YouTube
I listen to the Daily Show podcast and today one of the ads was for the Trump Watch. It was really infuriating to have to hear. Is anyone else getting this too?
I'm looking for a list online that shows each Daily Show episode Jon has hosted since he left the Daily Show. I can't seem to find it looking online, probably not using the right keywords.
IMDB lists every episode he was a producer/writer which seems to be all of them, so no help there.
I teach AP Macroeconomics, and one of the topics we talk about is policy lags with the government. In season 19 epi. 102, John Stewart opens the show talking about the NY State Assembly discussing if yogurt should be the official state snack, in a piece named "Yogurt Gabba-Gabba." I was able to find it and play it last year, but now, however, it seems as though the video has been scrubbed from the internet. Does anybody know where I can find this so I can show it to my classes?

I truly cannot fathom the collision of stupidity and bad faith in this photo, both from the Reddit post and the article. “How long will it take Jon Stewart to become Bill O’Reilly?!” In what star system does his brief digression about this guy suddenly make his liberal bonafides null and void? (And how is that article title not libel, by the way.)
Kinda difficult, ain't it?
Bill Maher or Joe Rogan, on the other hand...
On the bright side, at least Jon didn't "both sides" anything.
And to cut this off at the knees: it's entirely possible to call someone out for being racist and point out that we should focus on Trump.
So many comments on this sub saying “at the end of the day this is a comedy show”. I stopped watching TDS because it felt like it went from a fact based funny news show to a jon stewart opinion hour
For example, the segment Jon Stewart recently did with Jessica Williams… Like they’ll have someone come on, instead of sitting down and looking at each other, or something, they both talk to each other and have a conversation while one stands behind Jon, and they both look at the camera… They’ve done this for a while and it always makes me curious what’s the point
