Hello, next year i'm going to university and need to buy a laptop to code and program on. Now, since this is my first computer, i also have some games on my wishlist that i've been eager to play, nothing to heavy tho( stret fighter 6 and Minecraft). so i'd like something i can game on without problems and also use for education. Budget is 800€ - 1000€. Thank you in advance
My laptop been restarting for like an hour and i cant stop it.I unplugged the charger in hope it will turn off.
Its been stuck like this for 40 mins and i cant do anything.I currently turned off the charger hoping the battery would and in hope it will stop.

Hi so basically i’m on the fence about the g14, px13 and macbook pro m3. my use case will be mostly video editing 4k xvac i footage from Fx6 on premiere, portable on the go device for movies/browsing and maybe some gaming if i CAN game with it. Want something compact and portable. I haven’t had a mac in a long time idk that i love the OS and will have a hard time moving from my home pc to mac.
My budget i ideally 2k or under.. px13 pro: cheaper, can game, oled display Con: battery life and 60hz screen
G14 pro: cheaper, can game Con: overheats and some quality control issues
Macbook m3 pro: pro: everything Con: can’t game and expensive
The laptop that I have is slow as f takes 5 mins to load into win 10 and my dad intends me to go to college with it. I asked for a new one but was told to use this until it fails so miserably that it isn't worth to repair it . So I plan to kill it while my mom and dad are out shopping for groceries . The laptop is an EliteBook 840 g4 with i5-7200u and it NEEDS TO BE KILLED SO THAT ITS VERY COSTLY TO REPAIR AND THE DAMAGE CAN'T SEEM TO BE HUMAN MADE. SO, NO WATER SPILLING OR SOFTWARE HACKING /uefi or bios corruption is going to work. PLS HELP . COLLEGE STARTS IN A MONTH.[EDIT]-I want to develop games using unreal engine 5 that's the whole reason I want a new laptop and I have been begging them for a new laptop for 3 years roughly.
Hp doesn't provide schematic but this is the best picture of the opened laptop I could find.
~600USD

Roblox and occasionally GTA5
Reliable build quality that will last few years and touch screen would be preferred but not required.
Mostly will be using the laptop for school like Microsoft 365 and multiple taps open. Will play games occasionally but not very important. Thanks for any input!
NOTE: ASKING ONLY WITHIN THE PHILIPPINES
Hello! Where can I buy legit LCD screen replacement for Acer Aspire 5? Does it have to be specific for the unit or not? (preferably credible online stores, i dont wanna get scammed)
Asking for help since consultation with a repair shop told me to find my own screen replacement if i wanted to lessen my expenses (but they're still gonna look for it as well)
Other question: Which should I upgrade first? Processor, memory, or storage?
The laptop was overheating and I haven't replaced the thermal paste from since I bought it. So I opened it seems the thermal paste had overflowed have no idea on how to clean it any tips?
Basically I tried everything from Factory reset to literally remove all the drivers updates and all that but I still cannot make the screen work It just work for 5 sec then freezes, When I hit the GPU driver reset shortcut (CTRL + WIN + SHIFT + B) it works for aeconds then freezes again knowing that the buttons function just fine
Recently, My laptop has been staying at charge from 3-17, i want to know how i can fix the charger, It is a HP laptop laptop is pretty old. I had an issue with a "administrator password" in the past, but I fixed it, Any answers?
Ill mainly be using it for school work, a bit of gaming (I want to run just one game on it at a time such as Ghost of Tsushima) as well as browsing + Streaming.
I've been considering getting a used/renewed Dell Latitude 7400 because it seems to me cheap and good value for the price.
My only issue is the battery life, about 2 hours on average even though on Dell's website a new Latitude 7400 should last 14 hours, which is a big difference.
Will replacing the battery get it to last 14 hours? If so, why don't the renewed laptops come with a new battery already?
My laptop is an Asus Vivobook Go 15 E1504FA-LK322WS, which doesn't have a separate power button; it's integrated into the keyboard. Ants have crawled into the keyboard and damaged the membrane of that button, so it still works but requires more pressure to activate. I'm concerned it might lose it's functionality sooner or later. Is there is alternative buttons or combinations of buttons I can use to power on the laptop. Can I remap the other buttons into power button.
Asus VivoBook 15 , 2+ years old , use for coding , light gaming(seldom).
Looking for recommendations for a laptop that I can type and work on (nothing heavy) with about a 14" screen and a bright, clear display. Most importantly I want it to LAST. The laptop that I have now I've only had for two years. I did some gaming on it at first, but haven't in a long while. But even just having google docs open and working on there makes the fan kick in and the laptop get hot. I'm tired of it. Pleaaasseeee give me recommendations.
Hi all!
Question!
I have already got the coolingpad -
But my adapter (plug) is tearing and sparks sometimes. Is it a generic laptop cooler adapter? or Do I need to buy another IETS GT500 for the adapter.
Thanks!

The faith of my life (laptop) is in your hands. Please help me choose among these laptops. I would like to invest on a good laptop that will last for a long time, and hopefully w/ a color accurate screen (or somewhat near).

My keyboard hasn't been working from a long time now, 3 months or so ago it used to work for sometime but now it's completely just dead. I need urgent resolution for this please. Also to add the QWERTY line is the main issue only T,Y are functional in that row, numpad is also dead for certain numerals.
