I am looking for a lower-key part-time job in Lancaster for some extra spending money. Any recommendations?
My partner and I are going to a drive in movie theater tonight and we wanted to bring our own radio! I looked for one on fb marketplace but couldn’t find one
For anyone who has used the free overflow lot, I found out today that November 7 is the last day the shuttle is running to and from the station. The lot is being closed down and construction will be starting on the pedestrian bridge to the station. The driver told me the project will be finished sometime in 2026. I’m glad the bridge is going in, but never having to worry about finding parking was a nice feature.
Legit I’ve been driving past the downtown square for the past 3 days at 12pm noon… and there has been 4 cops and an ambulance, and now today just 2 cops and a guy getting arrested…. Has the homeless problem just been getting crazier? It looks like it’s always the homeless
Hey all, I am a mom of a 1st grader who is so excited for trick or treating. I know it’s a little last minute but we are trying to increase our time to candy ratio. Does anyone have recommendations for good locations in or around the city? Our neighborhood is on the south end and for some reason it’s a dead zone. Thanks!
And I don't mean our current obsession with tourists.
Since our city and county have been in the national spotlight recently I've noticed an increase in folks joining local discussions here that are using accounts that are clearly from out of town. Either lurker or dead accounts that haven't posted in months or over a year or who are active in local communities states away.
I understand this is a public sub and anyone can comment and join and I don't think that should change!
But I wanted to make everyone aware to keep their eye out so you can decide who may not be worth engaging. There is also clearly an uptick in inflammatory comments that toe the line of sub rules (the mods have been doing great and obviously can't delete stuff falling within guidelines)
Anyways... anyone got a really solid deli sandwich place around center city? Something with good bread, meat piled high, and that pickled pepper relish.
Anyone know of any lawyers to deal in quid pro quo harrassment?
Anybody have a pair of yellow women’s rain boots, sizes 6-8 for sale? Trying to complete a costume and did not anticipate how hard it would be to find yellow boots!
Howdy folks,I'm looking for recommendations on where to source cabinetry plywood that isn't home Depot or Lowe's! I'm in the process of making some updates to a home office and like to make it built in, But I don't know for the life where to get better plywood!
Just moved to the area and I’m looking for a good place to get apps like nachos, wings, fries that sorta thing and a nice cocktail or drink on a Saturday? I work until 9pm most Saturdays so some place that might be open late. I’ve looked up a lot but would love to hear from the people that live here what’s a good place
What sounded like gunshots around 7:00, now tons of sirens and helicopter hovering overhead
I am looking a general contractor or carpenter local to the area. Prefer a small business. I need them to repair my patio columns. Looks like the wood is rotting. Not sure about the actual 4x4 post inside.
Does anyone have any recommendations?
Thank you in advance!
Hey guys, I'm sort of new in Lancaster. I haven't figured out what ppl do for fun in here. There aren't many venues for live music... What do ppl do for fun? Other than eating out.
Are there any art groups or ppl with fun hobbies that meet around town?
Dreaded check engine light came on and monro said it’s the catalytic converter and will cost over a grand. Is there anyone in the area that does it for relatively “cheap”?
Looking for a House Halloween Dance party nearby… Anyone know any good ones for Halloween night?
Ive seen all the FB local club ones… I was wondering if there’s any private / house party ones
Interesting that they took the photo with the crazy rants still hanging…
I recently had a home tragedy and needed to place what belongings were salvageable in storage. I had previously had a very small storage unit at Moove in Self Storage in a different part of the city, but getting a larger unit closer to my new temporary location would be roughly the same price. Two days after I rented the storage unit, I received notification that the company was bought out by NSA storage. In the 3 months I have rented the unit, they have increased the price 3 times. I am now paying $100 more a month than when I originally signed the paperwork for the unit. Are there any other storage facilities closer to the city that are in a safe, secure location and won’t keep charging me more EVERY. SINGLE. MONTH? Thanks!
Just went to get apples and all their pumpkins are $2 each. What would've been $66 cost us $20. Figured I'd share incase anyone needs some pumpkins!
Best areas to take 4 year old trick or treating tomorrow???? Neighborhoods? Complexes? Housing developments? Not super familiar with the area. Thanks for any ideas!!!
hey yall idk if anyone can help or knows what to do in this situation.
i know living downtown in attached homes it’s hard not to have pests here and there. but i have been having a problem with roaches getting into my house from our attached neighbors. we are very clean, never leaving food out and cleaning surfaces and floors daily to avoid drawing them in. i have bait and traps out in most rooms and we’ve had exterminators a few times. we don’t see any nests or young roaches over here but we know they are coming over from the neighbors. they are not clean people, we even get smells from their house.
i’m not sure if there is anyone we can contact about this issue. this may be a dumb question but i can’t stand feeling dirty when i know it’s not us. we don’t have the same landlord or i would try that.
Seems to be a reoccurring theme with people in this Lifegate community, parrot right wing talking points and try to enflame the community to take action. Not only he is not a religious leader who made up his own accreditation, he continues to speak out both sides of his mouth in this community. He will do charitable acts to draw attention away from the actual words he says. He will publically speak about how both sides need to "calm down the rhetoric" and then posts this on their rumble site.
This isn't the only extremist group in our area doing things like this in our back yard.

***Correction, that's Doug Lamb. Doesnt matter though, they both aren't real pastors and say the same rhetoric!
Good morning!
My husband and I are planning a move to the Lancaster/Manheim/Lititz area next year. Looking for the most reasonable rents (1000-1500 per month) and safest areas. We dont need "city" or modern, just safe. Can you give me some pros and cons of various areas? Thank you!
