I and a few friends will be meeting up for the first time in a while and are thinking of doing a bar crawl in Killarney. We are mostly stout drinkers and would be hoping to hit about 8 pubs max and finish with some live music.
What pubs do we have to hit?
Where should we finish?
Do you know where to avoid?
Where would be good for soakage?
What's the best route?
Hi just wondering if there's anyone around Kerry that just deep cleans car seats? Or is it full valet package only?
Visiting the grandparents this morning and want to bring them out for breakfast/brunch. Himself will go with the Irish fry, while herself is a little less predictable and will see what's available. Ideally a place you can sit and chat easily. Any recs?
Proper boxes, tape, all that stuff. Storing about half my stuff, so I need it in some quantity. Any suggestions gratefully received, please!
Hi guys,
Looking for a bit of advice, looking to spend a weekend down in Kenmare in March.
Family 2 adults/ 1 toddler, 1 baby.
Hotel search apps are useless for searching for families.
Would anyone know of a good B&B's of ringing for family rooms for Kenmare?
Do you guys know any good spots around Tralee I can cycle to?
The previous owner of my Mercedes installed an after market screen and it must be installed wrong because it draws power from the battery. Does anybody know someone who knows well about Mercedes electronics so can fix the issue?
What has been your experience in getting planning permission in the countryside in Kerry?
Well lads, looking for 2 tickets to Amble in the INEC for this Friday 25th. If you hear of any going then keep this genuine Reddit user in your thoughts.
Go raibh maith agat a chairde.
Anyone else been called to a meeting after their child's file was reviewed. What do you think about it all? For myself they basically confirmed the failures we knew about plus a couple more we didn't know. But our child is now 18 so not like it's going to help us now.
Ardfert & Sheehan's on muckross road anywhere else...??
Any suggestions for a good mortgage broker in Kerry that doesn’t charge the client a fee? First time buyers, absolutely clueless
Hi there I'm wondering if anyone here could help me. I recently saw this house for sale in Cahersiveen. The house is called Villa Nuova and is situated in Cloghanelinaghan. It's a big property and obviously quite old but I can't find much information anywhere really. I'm hoping that someone in this group might be able to shed some light on it. Even better if they could point me towards some old photos. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
This is what I do know:
The house appears on the 1888-1915 Ordinance Survey Map.
The name Villa Nova (or Villa Nuova) appears on several earlier maps but I don't know if that speaks to the house itself or that area or maybe even an earlier property.
The house seems to have been built by a local Dr James Barry in either 1828 or 1858.
There is some connection to Daniel O'Connell, he apparently granted the builder permission to use materials from his family home to build the house.
The 1901 census lists Major Ernest Thomas Lloyd as the head of the household. He was the Resident Magistrate for the area apparently.
Anyone else out there familiar with this house?
Hi all,
My dad was hiking mangerton today and lost a pair of glasses which are slightly tinted. In the off chance anyone happens to see them please let me know thank you!
Thoughts?
I think its no coincidence that the biggest car park in town (beech road) is also is the spot with some of the worst congestion in the town (mission road). [I know most of it is traffic going from mission road to elsewhere though]
3 stories also seems fairly low rise for such a location.
The lewis road site also seems like it'd make a fuck up of things traffic wise, 4x as many cars entering and exiting the current car park
Anyone doing even a halfway-decent job of the style? Extra points for something really worth the drive.
Myself and a friend both 19 F are going to killarney at the end of this month. We’re both from cork, and majority of the decent pubs up here are 21s. Is this the case in killarney aswell?? Can anyone recommend some pubs that we’d be able to get into. Thanks !
We are visiting Killarney for the night and there was a kitten under a car on main street. Is there anyone who could foster for the night?! We are currently at the police station trying to find someone here as well. They are calling people they know. I’ve joined FB sites, but still have to be accepted. Please help this kitty out until an animal rescue can take the baby!
I smashed one lens cover and another still has some bit of moisture trapped in it. Which shop’s best for the job of replacement? I’d prefer Tralee but will go to Killarney if someone there is worth the trek. GRMA.
would it be safe or risky (weather-wise) to climb Carrauntoohill during late October? Climbed Carrauntoohil 4 times, twice up the devils ladder and twice up brother o sheas gully. planning on going up brother o sheas gully if it is indeed safe. unsure about how it is up there once you get to a certain altitude. thanks.
I finished my leaving cert and am taking a gap year before college. Im struggling to find a job at the moment. As said in the title, I’m looking for jobs around those areas. Have you heard of any positions available?
Thanks.
Hi. We have the 'Day 2' of our wedding in Dingle next summer. I'm looking to know if there are any music options or DJ that you reccomend in the area or near Killarney and Tralee that would be worth getting in touch with.
We are open to suggestions but looking for someone that might get the crowd going with live music and possibly have a DJ after too.
