Hey :) I'm heading to Dublin in 10 days time for the falling in reverse gig and I'm not quite sure where to park. I usually travel by train or bus as I usually stay the night but I can't do that this time.
I need parking kinda close to the centre but not in the centre as I've never drove to dublin before either, the gig is in the 3 arena but I don't mind walking about to get from a to b. And not too expensive either as I'm planning on spending a few hours in the city centre before heading to the gig so I need somewhere that's either open to around midnight or it's 24 hour.
Thanks in advance :)
P.s if you could add addresses and postcodes so it's easy to enter into maps :)
Hi guys I am joining a party with friends in Christmas and I am think of wearing a headband or a head wreath with mistletoe or holly (or any other plants related to the season). Is there any store or fair near Dublin where I can get these? Thanks and Happy Holidays in advance!
Haven’t had a GP in years
Looking for a decent healthcare clinic preferably close to city centre where GP appointments are close to €50
Regularly paying €70 is a bit too much for me and I intend to have frequent appointments next year
Hi everyone!
I live in Dublin 8 and have some nice clothes to donate—mint condition, some unworn, a mix of warm and casual wear. I’d love to ensure they go to those in need. Any suggestions for local charities or donation points? Thanks in advance! 🤗
Hello, My daughter wants to get a long skirt, I've no idea where to bring her! Any help appreciated!
I thought it might be helpful to pull together some feedback to share with the active travel team at Dublin City Council
What’s everyone’s thoughts to date? Looking for both positive and constructive feedback
Does anyone know where I could find a vegan advent calendar? 🙏
I have a friend getting married this month. He lives in enniscorthy but comes up frequently to Dublin— I dont have a lot of cash to spend (think max 100$), but he's a good friend and ai would like to get him somethig nice/thoughtful. I was thinking a certificate to a nice restaurant? He is vegetarian but his boyfriend isn't, so would have to be vegetarian friendly. I took a look at spa/resorts in the countryside but they all seemed way over budget. I was also thinking about of a ryanair voucher for a romantic weekend getaway, although the gift itself doesn't seem particularly cute. TIA for any tips!
Hi folks
Does anyone have any recommendations for a good mattress? My back is in bits. I'm up again at 5am unable to stay in the bed any longer.
Trying to cram in a bit of research before the kids get up and another hectic day's passes by without this sorted.
I looked at the Spinery who have great reviews but yikes, it's pricey. Is it worth the hype?
Anyone any alternative shouts?
First result on Google is Mattress Mick, who I've a vague memory of hearing not so great things about
So happy this gobshite did so badly. From canvassing for votes outside his constituency to harassing vulnerable people living in tents who’ve no idea what he’s saying for likes, Gavin Pepper has got to be the most idiotic politician Dublin has ever elected. The fact that most of his transfers went to the left shows his supporters aren’t exactly the brightest either. I really hope Dublin City Council makes him pay for all the misinformation he spreads. I doubt much of it is actual disinformation as that would entail an understanding of politics and current affairs that I’m pretty sure he’s incapable of grasping. He actually believes the nonsense he shares. Some of the far right are dangerous and know what they’re doing but this guy is just a noisy clown.
Was hutch involved in the drugs trade? Himself and others would claim he was only involved in heists and never drugs.
Hi, my previous post got misunderstood. I am a 28 year old doctor working in Dublin. I have been here for a month and haven't explored city much. I feel very lonely here. I enjoy exploring, cycling and playing football. What are some places to visit where i can meet people and make friends?
Was in Stephen's Green Green around 4 p.m. today with my parents watching a the street performances, and someone stole gloves from my mom's bag.
Her bag had been opened and the gloves were right on top (she had them right before the performance started. A passer-by pointed it out, at this point we were still within sighting distance of the performance)
If they would have fallen out we would have seen them, we looked around.
Also my parents are visiting me, so the gloves were of good quality since they're not used to any cold.
Just a PSA, beware.
Hello! This is an ultra long shot and I know it, but here goes: I lost my cigarette case next to City Hall (opposite the opening to Upper Exchange Street) in central Dublin. I can't find a photo, but it's made of cloth with muted red/blue/white vertical stripes and two badges on the bottom corner, one of which reads snuff with a logo of the store. It's about the height of a paperback in length and half the width, and it has a long black ribbon that wraps around to close it.
I lost it earlier today (around 12.30-13.30 Dec 1st) and it probably fell down when I went to put it in my pocket. It's not valuable in itself, and it only had like 5 filters and 1 rizzla paper in it, but it does have sentimental value, so if anyone here happened to be passing by around that time and picked it up or something, I would massively appreciate the help.
Anyone know where I can get the Novavax covid vaccine?
Hello All,
Im planning my stagdo for May next year, im really into Martial Arts/Combat sports, just wondered if there's any local events that happen on a regular basis I can check out while im there?
Thanks!
This Black Friday in Ireland seems more a Black Fraud, I couldn’t find any good deals this year.. sad 😔
I've seen some at Lidl and Aldi but they are all very small. Looking for something maybe 2 or 3 feet tall. Any ideas?
Doing some declutterring and I have a bunch of Economist magazines that I never got to read. Just wondering if there’s anywhere they could be donated instead of putting in the recycling?
They’re still in their plastic wrappers.
Hello! I'm moving to Dublin for the next year and will live in a small shared room. I have to work for my University in Germany, but I need a good study space to get it going and I fear it will not be in my room!
I will live in Phibsborough, can you recommend me some places where I can study/work in peace? Ideally it is not far away.
Thanks!
Hello everyone
I've got a new role where I'll be travelling for job and be on zoom calls with clients in different counties
I can't rely on hotel or guest house WiFi
Has anyone used a dongle before? Any suggestions what device and network or provider works best and is not too expensive as well?
I'd love to know your thoughts and experiences so I can buy one for myself
Happy weekend everyone
For those who gave advice about the clothing I should wear for the trial, here’s the update. A lot were concerned about the fact we HAVE to wear heels and low and behold: I broke my fingers! Not joking! Lol. Sigh
Would highly recommend the experience of the many candlelight concerts scheduled in the wonderful ancient cathedral. Not least the Tina Fever ( singer and band) act which was absolutely fantastic. An amazing experience in a stunning venue.
Hello all !
Looking for recommendations. Essentially I’m living in Dublin since the start of summer. I’m looking for hobbies or activities for the evenings/weekends to start in the new year. Dublin has been a hard place to adjust to after moving up here from another county. I’ve made some great work friends but I’m looking for a social aspect beyond work.
So if anyone has any recommendations in what hobbies I can take up or clubs I can join as a female.
I’m also only about a 25 mins walk from the city centre !!
Hey just wondering if anyone here knows of a glassblowing studio that does beginner classes ? I was hoping to get a workshop voucher for a relative for Christmas. I could only find one for the Leitrim Sculptor Center but I haven't heard back from them yet. Any knowledge would be appreciated!
Everywhere I go they look for tips even tho they on 13.50 even tho USA servers are 2$? What’s going on??
