Has anyone had this issue where the whole row goes white and won’t tell you whether you’re in park, drive neutral etc? If so please let me know how to fix.
I love it when I fill up my 2014 1.8T Jetta , drive 28 miles, and it adds on 20 extra miles🎉🎉
I went to get new tires today and they asked me for my lug key. I said “sure, it’s in the glove box”. No. It wasn’t. I then realized that when I had my breaks serviced over a year ago, the garage I went to must have used the key and never put it back.
So now I’m looking for a new key except I don’t know what number my key was…. Anyone know? Should I just call a dealer? I’d rather just buy something cheap of Amazon if I can. Then I am going to swap over to regular lug nuts so I never have to deal with this again.
My car is a 2012 Jetta 2.5 SE.
Will Ceramic Car washes keep it cleaner longer.
So I’m thinking of putting a fake Christmas tree on the roof of my mk6, but I don’t have roof racks.
Any ideas on the best way to attach it so it stays on at highway speed?
I recently bought a 2012 Jetta highline, I would like to add an automatic headlights (so my battery doesn’t die in case I forget). And maybe a backup camera for fun. Does anyone have recommendations? And would a backup camera work with the factory screen?
Ok so I got a signal saying I need coolant, I checked and sure enough I do. I'm at work and I don't wanna risk putting in the wrong coolant. The one in my car is green and I've seen some it's supposed to be pink. Should I just buy some coolant and pour it in over whats left in there already? Or what should I do. I'm luckily right by a Walmart lol
I need to replace glove box What size led is it?
Hello all,
I drive a 2014 MK6 Jetta GLI. Like many, when I got the car I replaced the head unit with an OEM aftermarket one that supports CarPlay.
Unfortunately the lightning cable I used to connect the CarPlay to my phone has been barely working recently so I decided to get a wireless Bluetooth adapter.
I tested it out today and it works great. The only issue is when I turn off my car, the light of the Bluetooth adapter stays on. I’m worried I may be draining my cars battery. But I’d also like to avoid unplugging it for convenience. When I get in the car I want my phone to automatically connect to the CarPlay.
Anyone have any insight they could provide for me on this? I’m tempted to left it in all night and see if my battery eventually dies, but I’d rather find a possible solution now rather than later. Thanks!
I have a 2011 Volkswagen Jetta Sportline with ~190k km on it. I’m moving to northern Ontario where it reaches temps like -30 Celsius in the winter. Would it be wise to get a block heater installed?
Hi all. I need to replace my spark plugs for my 2012 Jetta SE and probably my ignition coils while I'm in there. (Currently at 75900 miles)
Looking at the OEM parts list The coils individually cost $72 and plugs are $12. looking at ECS, there are "OEM" Bosch plugs and coils as well as the genuine VW parts.
Bosch coils - do these work just as well at half the price of the OEMs ?
Bosch plugs or NGKs - are these suitable replacements?
It's the first time doing this but I'm not paying a dealer for something I can do in < 1 hr and OEM part prices are ridiculous. Thanks in advance!
Edit: model year and trim Edit 2: mileage
I have a 21 S with the 6.5 screen, would swapping to a Discover Pro 8 be plug and play?
Anytime I go for a longer drive (like 30mins+) the RPMs will dip like its about to stall then it will catch itself. The whole ordeal is less than a second. It's always when the trans is in drive and vehicle is stopped at a traffic light. I only had one code pop up which was a P1545 for throttle valve control system malfunction, but this was weeks ago. No codes currently. All Live data from fueling, timing, intake system, ect. is okay and within spec.
It does have an Intake piping kit and a cold air intake from CTS. New plugs, new coils that were replaced for a different issue. It doesn't really want to do a basic setting for adaptation. I also replaced this throttle body 2 years ago for an issue. And yes valves were cleaned 15k miles ago.
Battery is good and there's no voltage drop in the fuse box.
2014 jetta SE 1.8tsi EA888.3 no tune.
Any thoughts?
hi all! as title says, i just got my baby and i am so proud of myself and excited! my family has owned ‘00s jettas for years and my car before this was a 2011 touareg tdi (rip) that my aunt passed down to be for a few months until the adblue system broke, so i’m familiar with older vws.
for those who’ve had their jettas for a long time, what would you recommend in terms of care? any long term investments you’ve made in order to get the most bang for your buck? i currently have some detailing and body care equipment, a screen protector for the main screen and a/c screen, and i got the maintenance package so i am set there.
any advice is appreciated, thank you! :)
Can anyone do a brake fluid flush or does this need to be done by a VW specialist? I kinda feel “brakes are brakes”.
2015 Jetta
Currently doing a rebuild on a 2010 jetta wolfsburg and found the head was trashed. Is this a suitable replacement or am I really rolling the dice on this?
I have thus US version of a 2024 jetta se and i love the android auto, but i disguise the usb connection. I have set up the wifi connection, i have set up the bluetooth connecrion but this pos is still asking for the usb cable. Did anyone get his jetta work cable free with android auto? I also have odb11 in case i have to jury rig something in the software. Open to ideas...
Thx for every hint
Tonight on the drive home, the same warning noise my car makes when I don’t have my seatbelt on yet kept triggering the entire ride home. It stopped for all but about 10 min and then came back on again. I opened and re-closed all the doors, made sure to remove and put on my seatbelt again, even did the passenger seatbelt thinking it might’ve triggered my backpack on there, but that’s never been a problem before, & as expected, that did nothing. Restarted the car and nothing either. Some other things to note, I left the car in a city parking garage today with attendants that drove it (probably just a coincidence) & I’ve had a “service” light on my dash for probably the past month or so. Been putting it off until by inspection at the end of the year. Not sure what it could be.
I scanned it and I get this problem, what do you think?
I own a 2009 vw Jetta and whenever it rains water would leak on this spot specifically, after a while i moved the sunroof in the back position and i poured some water on the drain holes, and i saw that it did leak on that spot specifically, not on the other side, is there any way i could fix this or is it something I have to take to a shop to fix?
As the title says, today the EPC light and check engine light came on in my jetta. I used an OBD2 scanner to check the engine code and it is P2279, something about a leak in the intake air system. Anyone have any ideas of what could be wrong? I went under the hood earlier and didn't hear any hissing but i could just be deaf.
I have 2013 VW Jetta SE and over the last couple days my window controls have been wild, like having a mind of their own. 😂 It happens as soon as I start my car my drivers side and passenger side (hasn’t happened to the back seat windows) will go up and down on their own, not all the way just like a centimeter at a time.. and it happens every 5-15 seconds so it’s been very annoying and frustrating to deal with! I am able to roll them back up myself sometimes but other times not. I tried to replace the fuse and unfortunately that didn’t do anything. Any ideas on what it could be? I’ve tried searching and haven’t found a single person who’s had the same issue. 😭 I’m also debating should I bring it to the dealership, or my regular shop I go to? THANK YOU!
