What is this pepper?

I bought these a few years ago at the Farmers Market in Los Angeles and haven't seen them until this week, when I bought them again. The vendor didn't know what they are. They have the flavor of a spicy pepper but they are not hot. Super crispy. Sort of matches a Frontera, but they are pointy. Delicious and you can eat them straight up.

I love these Red Habaneros

They keep producing in this unseasonably mild weather. There’s a few Scotch Bonnets in there.

Can some ID please?

This pepper grows every year in the same spot in our garden near the fence- they only just started to turn orange.

422 peppers from one plant

Got another 63 today for 422 total. Now the race is on as the rest are young and will takes a few weeks, so let’s hope we get a late freeze.

Spooky Pepper Spray 👻

Essentially making airborne pepper spray over-night tonight 🤣 I figured Halloween was the best day for it, that and work needs some pepper powder for a wing challenge this weekend. 😆👌

Kratky hydroponic jalapeño leaves are yellowing

Hey, everyone. Trying to do some kratky hydro peppers to keep my pepper habit going over the winter, in the style taught on Khang Starr's youtube channel, and a couple of my plants have yellowing leaves. I'm using DynaGro Bloom and general hydroponics CaliMagic in the directed amounts, and have not done any ph testing. Pics below of the jalepeño that is exhibiting this the worst, and also the fertilizer I'm using. Any ideas on what may be causing this? I do need to replace the perlite, it's got some algae on it, but I don't see any algae in the nutrients or on the roots. There are some fungus gnats around, but not a ton. Thanks!

Waited months for the 7-Pot Primos to be back in stock. Excited for my first ever grow!

Bought them within just a few min of the email. Think I was on the waiting list around 6 months so this is incredible!

Heads up Troy has Primo seeds on his site

As of today Primo Seeds are in stock on Primos Peppers. I'd get them ASAP if you intend to get some direct from source.

Why are ghost peppers different?

I'm not even a huge fan of hot peppers because I'm not into pain but ghost peppers hit me differently.

It's more of a back of the throat kind of thing and then, when it starts to get too hot, it suddenly fades out and doesn't cause me lingering pain.

I absolutely love ghost peppers -- they're easily my favorite -- but I'm curious as to why they act differently. If capsaicin is the ingredient that causes the heat then wouldn't all peppers behave in pretty much the same way on the palate?

Cross pollination?

Newbie mass pepper from seed grower here. I'm expanding my collection to a few new to me varieties besides the same old jalapenos, serranos, habaneros and such, plus a few varieties of bell peppers. So far my newest is Lemon Drop and Firecrackers. Anyway, so I read mention of cross pollination and was hoping for some suggestive feedback from y'all. I'm starting seeds in a small greenhouse. I haven't decided on how plan my plots yet and was wondering if cross pollination is a big concern? Would I need to separate the different varieties a good distance from each other? How do you all protect your peppers' integrity? I feel like I need to install chastity walls or something. 😅
