Question: I recently planted a bunch of peppers, and they are all doing fine other than my habaneros, which seem to wilt during the day to a pretty pathetic state. Usually they perk back up in the evenings and mornings, but I'm worried that at some point they won't.
Do Habaneros have a wilt response in the day? Or am I just not watering them enough? It's only been around 80F here. They're in a spot that has a combination of good sun most of the day, and decent shade in the hottest part of the day. The jalapenos, serranos, and arbols, and even bell peppers near them are not having the same issue.
Did I **** up by putting them near each other? Do habaneros have substantially different needs or something? I've mostly only grown Jalapenos and Bell Peppers before. I usually water them late afternoon (not getting the leaves wet). Would a different time work better?
Thanks!
Carolina reaper, Ghost pepper, Orange habanero, Shishito, & Sriracha.
Got these from a local nursery. Hoping to get some of these outside within the next few weeks. Just waiting on my sunshade net and some stuff to prop it up.
I had a friend that passed that would dry out peppers to use as a seasoning. I never asked what kind they were. They were red and orange medium length. Any ideas on what he might have used?
Underwatered? Overwatered? Too much light or too close to grow lights? Help!
These seedlings have been growing indoors next to a south facing window and an 1000 lumen shop light about 3 inches away to supplement. I’ve been bottom watering since I transplanted them into 3.5inch pots from trays. I was worried they’re not getting enough water since only about the bottom half of the soil gets wet.

Got my first flower on one of my jalapeno plants!
I tried a packet I got from Sherwood Seeds, but none of the plants have really done too well. Several shriveled up under grow lights, and the rest never germinated.
Anyone who has grown calabrian chiles, where did you get the seeds from? Any germination tips?
I notice some leaves are falling off my pepper plants, is this a deficiency or toxicity? They are about 9 weeks old
Last year I grew the exact same peppers and they got to 1.5meters tall which is far to big for me to manage
They're getting some purple tint around the edges - about 1 week since sprouting, can see the true leaves starting to form. Is this normal?
I have a vivaspectra 1000 that's running at the height and intensity manufacturer specifies (16", 50%< 18hrs on). Nobody appears to be curling excepting one who I accidentally injured taking its helmet off
Jalapeno and Serrano are the ones purpling, my ghost and habaneros aren't
So, this is my first time growing a Carolina Reaper plant somewhere in South Asia. The average temperature right now in my city is above 30°c and I need to save this plant from burning. It's been two months since I've been taking care of it and I'm to see some pods are coming. Any suggestions would be welcome here.
Well, maybe I shouldn’t count my eggs before they hatch but I’ve planted 20+ seeds and this is the first one to sprout. And it’s a control, meaning no peroxide, no chamomile tea, nothing.
Hello. I only know these chili plants by their common name and they look very similar
Does anyone have experience with both plants to confirm if the "hawaiian chili pepper" is the same plant as the " african red devil chili" ? Thanks
