Seed Swap is a community for sharing seeds between gardeners! Please be responsible and kind when swapping.
Welcome! This is a place to swap seeds with fellow Redditors. Simple rules:
Post a new thread stating what you have to swap (or give away!)
Post a comment in a thread if you're interested in what the OP has, with a list of your offerings. OP should reply in thread and then PM commenters to seal the deal.
If your thread fails to appear, please message the moderators, as the spam queue tends to be over eager on occasion.
Policy on "illegal" seeds: to avoid exposing our users to law enforcement, we will actively remove posts advertising currently illegal seeds, such as cannabis. If it is legal in your country or state to trade these seeds, please post in local forums rather than here.

I am looking for seeds for Seattle's Best of All tomato. Hard to find, but a great little indeterminate small to medium size big producer.
we recently moved to Kentucky and are looking at growing garlic next year and we’re told now is the time to plant so I’m interested to know if anybody has any garlic to swap or if anyone has any tips on varieties that grow well in the Kentucky area thank you
Anyone know where to find these in Canada?
I have loads of rare food and medicinal plants to trade (check out my website www.blackbirdhollow.ca)
I currently have seeds of Shima Sarunashi (Actinidia rufa, like kiwi) and Mube(Stauntonia hexaphylla).
I obtained this in southeastern Shikoku in Japan.
I would like to have seeds of American persimmon, but if exporting to Japan is going to be difficult, I am open to other fruits that do not seem to be available in Japan.
If phytosanitary measures are required, it may take some time.
Not much info out there on this squash. Obtained at a local seed swap years ago and it's supposedly been grown for centuries by the local native tribe. Pretty striped fruits and tastes good cooked or raw. I can send images of the small amount of into I have if you're interested. Looking to build up my corn collection, anything unusual. I'm in SoCal.
Hi all
I have some friends in the U.K. who are big gardeners, and they especially like growing tomatoes. When we visited, I asked if they’d ever grown heirloom tomatoes and they hadn’t even heard of them. I guess they must not be popular or a thing in the U.K.?
I want to send them some heirloom tomato seeds, but realize it’s next to impossible to do it “officially”
I know a lot of people send seeds via a greeting card and USPS, but the seeds rattle around a lot in their envelopes and I worry about them getting detected more easily now.
I’m sending them a larger thank you package as well with things like trinkets and maple syrup, and I thought about just putting them in there and hoping they go unnoticed, but I worry about the whole package getting confiscated or sent back just because of the seeds getting found.
Any ideas are appreciated, as I don’t know anything about gardening and want to make sure the seeds arrive in plantable condition.
Hey everyone, I love pine trees (mainly the smell) and wanted to see if they had any seeds the wanted to trade. I have some seeds I'd be happy to trade, mostly herbs and vegetables but if you're looking for something specific let me know and I'll see if I have it or can get it
Anyone have seeds available? Thanks!
So I just learned the Lakeside Daisy is endangered and I want to do my duty to try to spread some around to repopulate but I can’t find any places online that sell them. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you!
Looking for cherry tree rootstock, prefer Mazzard F12 or similar species but also interested to hear what people's opinions ate too. Interested in seeds or plant since it's going to be rootstock anyways.
Seeds from home grown plants. Interested in other plants like Caesalpinia, Palos verdes and other native plants
Pure species seeds please.
Hello. Rapeseed needed. Bulk. 2500 Tons/month. NON-GMO. Feed grade. EXW. Europe. Smaller suppliers would be considered as well. Anyone working with local suppliers here? Could anyone recommend?
I had just posted a picture of my Hopi purple string beans that I had grown out in the 2024 season and I wanted to know if there was anybody interested in sharing/trading seeds from their beans for the 2025 garden season. Link : https://www.reddit.com/r/seedsaving/s/hvpMiyMUOf
Just as the title says. I’ve got a small amount of non-isolated seeds from Goat Brain, Scorpion Hulk, Beast and Chocolate Skunk chili peppers. I’m looking for Mustard Reapers, Chocolate Primotalli, 7 Pot Evergreen or RB003. Smaller quantities of about 10 seeds preferred.
Hi,
I'm a first year PhD student trying to get large quantities of common hops or any quantity of Japanese Hops Seeds (I have a state permit I will provide a copy of to anyone mailing Japanese Hops Seeds). I've been through USDA-GRIN for hops seed but unfortunately the seeds are limited in quantity for mass germination treatment trials and quite old.
I know it’s a bit of a long shot but i’m interested in the cold resistance they supposedly have. I have plenty of sugar rush stripey so if you want some, no trade is necessary.
Hello everyone,
I am looking to purchase processing-type white onions, specifically varieties with a dry matter content above 20%, such as Southport White Globe. Our current demand is approximately 10 tons.
If you have any information about suppliers or can recommend reliable growers, please reach out to me. We place a high value on product quality and stable supply.
Thank you for your help!
Just wondering if anyone has any seeds, dm me if so, thank you
I'm starting to think I may have to go to Washington or Oregon and source some impatiens glandulifera seeds to plant in my yard Since nobody sells them because it's become such a terrible invasive in certain wild areas. I live in a dense urban, concrete jungle where there is absolutely no chance of escaping into the wild and I know it grows well so I want it. If I have to drive to go get it and bring it back, that's what I have to do.
Seed pods are ready and many more are becoming ready to harvest too! I have two varieties -all yellow and the regular red/orange variety
Looking for a cutting, I have other houseplant cuttings I could swap DM me.
I just harvested a bunch of pawpaws and have tons of seeds that I feel bad throwing away. They are currently sitting in my wine fridge in a bag with wet paper towel. Any takers? All I ask is you pay for the bubble wrap envelope and postage (I'll front the cost and have you reimburse me after I mail it - on the honor system). I can mail out 15 - 20 in each batch (in maybe have enough for 4).
I have lots of heirloom tomato, corn, lettuce and beet seeds to trade. Also have CA poppy, lupine, blow wives, gum plant, tar weed, vinegar weed, and milkweed to trade. Let me know and I can send a full list of varieties.
Rains from Helene and Milton caused my late summer seed crop to develop mold.
Can the seeds be treated so I can still plant them in the spring or are they wasted?
It’s mostly my bean pods but also corn and tomatoes.
They were sun drying nicely before the weather change.
Any suggestions?
Thanks!
