Seed Swap is a community for sharing seeds between gardeners! Please be responsible and kind when swapping.
Welcome! This is a place to swap seeds with fellow Redditors. Simple rules:
Post a new thread stating what you have to swap (or give away!)
Post a comment in a thread if you're interested in what the OP has, with a list of your offerings. OP should reply in thread and then PM commenters to seal the deal.
If your thread fails to appear, please message the moderators, as the spam queue tends to be over eager on occasion.
Policy on "illegal" seeds: to avoid exposing our users to law enforcement, we will actively remove posts advertising currently illegal seeds, such as cannabis. If it is legal in your country or state to trade these seeds, please post in local forums rather than here.

Hey, guys! I saw someone post this kind of thing a few days ago, and I'm inspired! I mean, I have a lot of flower seeds, way more than I need. Nothing too crazy or special, but if you'd like some free flower seeds, especially companion plants, shoot me a DM!
I'll do my best to send the seeds out with a Christmas card this coming weekend!
I’m starting a garden after a long hiatus. I have a huge amount of sunflower seeds, don’t know the variety. But I’ll swap a large amount for…
I’d love to swap for any heirloom tomatoes, lemon cucumber, or any lettuces, beans.
I am in the USA and I’d like to swap with USA only please. I used to seed swap from the organic gardening forum way back when.
I have a sampling of seeds from items in my garden this year that did really well (zone 8a). It's a mix of veggies/flowers/herbs. They are packaged up inside of a handful of Christmas cards. If anyone would like/appreciate a random holiday card from a Reddit stranger, shoot me a DM and I'll get that sent out to you :) (I will try to update this post once I've run out of cards).
Edit: I woke up this morning to such an enthusiastic response! I'm afraid there are way more requests than I have of cards, but will try to put more together to fulfill all requests. If you don't get a card from me, please know that I wanted to send one but have just run out of supply.
Merry Christmas everyone!

So over the past couple of years (5 years i believe) i have seen this feral wheat grown on a abandoned lot in Town where once a nursing home stood. Im sure this wheat probably has its origin in some Bird food but it really Managed to survive whatever Nature has thrown ad it. Now this year do to development the local strain was almost whipped out but i managed to get a few seeds and grow some in the garden.
Now the plan is to really make this wheat into a local landrace by breeding in more genetic diversity, and Co-create this landrace with both nature and humans. So far i have collected and bought some other strains to add in like, Utrechtse Blauwe ( Utrecht Blue) and Spelt.
But im also looking for more old variaties to add in, so are there any gardeners looking to sell some seeds?

I have loads of rare food and medicinal plants to trade (check out my website www.blackbirdhollow.ca)

I obtained this in southeastern Shikoku in Japan.
I would like to have seeds of American persimmon, but if exporting to Japan is going to be difficult, I am open to other fruits that do not seem to be available in Japan.
If phytosanitary measures are required, it may take some time.
Not much info out there on this squash. Obtained at a local seed swap years ago and it's supposedly been grown for centuries by the local native tribe. Pretty striped fruits and tastes good cooked or raw. I can send images of the small amount of into I have if you're interested. Looking to build up my corn collection, anything unusual. I'm in SoCal.
Hi all
I have some friends in the U.K. who are big gardeners, and they especially like growing tomatoes. When we visited, I asked if they’d ever grown heirloom tomatoes and they hadn’t even heard of them. I guess they must not be popular or a thing in the U.K.?
I want to send them some heirloom tomato seeds, but realize it’s next to impossible to do it “officially”
I know a lot of people send seeds via a greeting card and USPS, but the seeds rattle around a lot in their envelopes and I worry about them getting detected more easily now.
I’m sending them a larger thank you package as well with things like trinkets and maple syrup, and I thought about just putting them in there and hoping they go unnoticed, but I worry about the whole package getting confiscated or sent back just because of the seeds getting found.
Any ideas are appreciated, as I don’t know anything about gardening and want to make sure the seeds arrive in plantable condition.
Hey everyone, I love pine trees (mainly the smell) and wanted to see if they had any seeds the wanted to trade. I have some seeds I'd be happy to trade, mostly herbs and vegetables but if you're looking for something specific let me know and I'll see if I have it or can get it
Anyone have seeds available? Thanks!
So I just learned the Lakeside Daisy is endangered and I want to do my duty to try to spread some around to repopulate but I can’t find any places online that sell them. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Thank you!
Looking for cherry tree rootstock, prefer Mazzard F12 or similar species but also interested to hear what people's opinions ate too. Interested in seeds or plant since it's going to be rootstock anyways.
Seeds from home grown plants. Interested in other plants like Caesalpinia, Palos verdes and other native plants
Pure species seeds please.
