Looking to see if anyone knows if there’s a fairing or windshield that can be mounted with the OEM Harley fork clamps. I have a set of 49mm clamps I’d like the use if I can. I know the quarter fairings are but I’d like a little more wind protection if possible
My Harley has been having issues recently so I took it to the dealership. They found out that a wire was being pinched and that my whole wiring harness may need to be replaced. Which would cost 800 for harness alone. I also talked to another independent shop which specializes in Harley’s and they told me that they can’t make conclusions with seeing it in person but that may need to happen. So I was wondering if it would be cheaper to just switch to carb. And sell my ecm with my tts tuner to help cover the cost.
For the past couple days now my FXDL will have a slow crank in the mornings. It’ll throw the “v inner” code and “low fuel range” would flash. It’ll turn over but will take a couple seconds. It does smell strongly of fuel for a bit when idling but could just be me. I did check the battery (lithium) and it’s at 13.xx volts. I forgot to check it under load when starting though. When I leave work at the end of the day it starts perfectly fine. I’m assuming temperature plays a role.
Curious to see if anyone has ran into this issue. I plan on cleaning both sides of the battery cables and checking the voltage under load and see if it drops tonight.
A couple months ago my Harley start turning off and immediately turning back on while riding. I eventually took it to a Harley dealer near me and they told me that the rear swing arm was pinching a wire that connects to the abs module. They told me that I could pay to have them look into it deeper but it could cost a lot especially if the whole wiring harness needs to be replaced. The bike does have after market rear shocks that drop the back 2in. So I’m not entirely surprised this happened. But I was wondering what my options are going forward. Because they told I could take the bike home and see how it rides. And I didn’t have any issues for a while until recently and so now I feel like I need to decide whether to get rid of it or try and fix it.
Looking for ideas of what bars to get. Not actually super disappointed with stock, but at 6’2 at any distance I find myself wanting something a bit taller.
Looking forward to a 4K mile ride this coming spring, so I have the Memphis Shades road warrior fairing coming soon.
Considered the stock Street Bob bars, but haven’t seen many pics to help me decide.
TIA. Cheers.
Hey, i want to run a shinko in front 100/90/19 and a dunlop 401 150/80/16 in the rear. I want to know if anybody has this combination and notice any woble or bad stability because of different thread patern. Th anks
There seems to be a miss when at idle. Prior owner said this has been consistent since he owned it. It is a 2004 Dyna FXDI. The video has two places you can hear it well. The video was chopped. It was taken as the engine warmed. It dies after warming for about 4-5 minutes with no throttle input. The miss is persistent for this bike, but not at an even interval. At the end it dies and has a wheeze/suck sound.
Any ideas or is this a normal thing? (My first HD. I know the sound is supposed to be a certain way.)
Hey guys, just looking for some suggestions on things to check... As the title says my 2017 Low Rider S pulls to the left whenever I take my hands off the bars.
I can correct it but I really need to shift my weight over to the RHS 😅
I'm sure this can't be normal even with the lump of a primary on that side.... So any advice would be grand 🤙🏼
