Been seeing a lot of trade talk and I think realistically Denver is most likely not going to make a move. I say give this core one last run and ideally sign a solid bench piece off the buyout market. If they flop in the playoffs again, then they can trade MPJ and Jamal in the offseason for a full retool.

In spirit of ridiculous wild LA takes, we get Luka in 2027-28 but this doesn't require a trade. Luka for the next little bit gets mentorship of Lebron, gets in shape, learns a little defense, and how to complain effectively. Nico gave away Porzingis, Brunson, and Luka. Keep those three and they are champion contenders. The Luka trade is malpractice that now makes him hated by fans, Luka, Kyrie, all other Mavs players, and coach Jason Kidd. It is the worst trade of my lifetime. AD might hate him too!

Apparently anything is possible. As slim as my dream jokic Luka pairing was, it seems slightly less slim now with that supermax and it’s 100+mil incentive off the table. He could Play this year out. Demand a trade next season or say he’ll play out decline his player option. He only wants a 2-3 year deal anyway so he can resign for a huge 35% one once eligible (again).

Is Sotheby’s really the best bet to get a game worn jersey?

For some reason I can’t stomach buying a 100-200 jersey I would wear 1 time a year, but $1-5k for a game worn jersey seems reasonable (to frame and display). But trying to figure out the best option and preferably not an auction.

Some teams have specific dealers but struggling to find something for the Nuggets.

My first gut reaction besides shock and confusion is that this legitimately does not make either team better.

This trade has revealed a deep deep misunderstanding and undervaluing of Anthony Davis and 2 way players. Mavs are acting like they got nothing in return.

Let's not forget it was Anthony Davis who hit the dagger on the nuggets in the bubble. They go on to win a TITLE and it's hard to think they do otherwise.

I figured this might be helpful based on the number of refugee Mavs posts there already are. Personally, I always liked the Mavs and thought highly of Dirk back in the day. Nuggets v Mavs games in the Jokic v Luka era have always been fun, competitive, and respectful. I was looking forward to a playoff series between the two that I thought was inevitable. But now?

Nuggets lore: Jokmas- On December 15, 2016, Coach Malone decided to start Jokic over Nurkic (yes that was a real debate at the time). This was the real start of Jokic becoming who he is today. It was incidentally in a game against Dallas btw. The Seven- On February 5, 2020, we traded like our whole roster just before the trade deadline and literally only had seven players for an away game against Utah. And this was at the height of their Spida/Gobert days. But somehow, we still won! The Bubble Run- You probably already know about this, but we came back from being down 3-1 twice against the Jazz and Clippers. MPJ hit a huge shot that became the start of “Yeah Mike!” And the series with the Lakers probably would have been different if Mason Plummer hadn’t rotated off of Anthony Davis.

Most of the Nuggets lore since then has broken into common NBA fandom, so here’s some quick notes. Jamal’s ACL tear was soul-crushing. Embiid’s MVP is a joke. Sweeping the Lakers in 2023 was the peak of our existence. Bruce Brown is a Nuggets legend. Deandre Jordan is a saint. And ALL OF THE NUGGETS ARE GOOD!
