Went to brassica last night and the person behind me screamed at the high school worker and told her he would never pay $15 for that and stormed out !! For context he ordered a bowl with double protein and after finding out extra protein was an additional $3 lost his mind.
I usually get the brisket salad and it's $12/13 it's a ton of food and all the ingredients are locally sourced I think. $15 for double meat is worth it to me. Especially when Chipotle is just a few $ behind.
Anybody know any spots in Columbus that offer free jazz performances? I was looking on Eventbrite but didnt see many listings
Anyone know any recruiters that specialize in insurance? 15 year vet looking to switch up companies. Any recommendations or help is amazing. God Bless and Happy Holidays….
Just moved to Columbus and my boyfriend was driving on the 71 highway past a stadium. It’s raining and there’s traffic. This white KIA 985ZCA, speeds to overtake, break checks us, flips us off, and runs away. I just reported him, but I wonder if he’s handicapped because of that tag on the left of the license plate? Does anyone know what that means?
I’m surprised that it’s not a Civil Rights violation to run Kroger stores in certain neighborhoods one way, and in other neighborhoods, another way. If Kroger made every customer in every store present a receipt to leave the store, I can say I don’t like the policy, but at least it’s fair and applies to everybody equally. It’s really troubling that a Kroger store in an area which has a high percentage of minorities and immigrants can have an inconvenient policy like this, while Kroger stores in areas which are mostly white do not have a similar policy. Kroger says they have issues with theft in certain stores, but the “guilty until proven innocent” policy seems unjust because it’s not applied across the board. It’s up to Kroger to secure their merchandise. Their use of self checkout works against securing merchandise. I found this particularly disturbing today when a bunch of had to wait in line to leave the store while a customer and employee argued.
I’ve been doing Pilates on YouTube and I’m looking to try a mat Pilates class in person. It seems like there are a lot of options for reformer Pilates classes in Columbus. Does anyone know if there are any basic mat Pilates classes or studios around?
Hello, recently trying to get back into paintball and playing national events. Where I’m from in Central Florida all of our big xball fields closed and you had to drive 2.5 hours to practice. Here in Columbus it seems the scene isn’t as dead, and I’ve seen both Splatter park and Lv Up recommended for tournament practice. Any other fields to be aware of? Is my best bet to find a team to play NXL Cinciatti at Lv up? Also it seems some fields close air ball for the season. I’m from Florida so I’ve never seen weather effect practice. When do fields usually open back up for xball practice?
Wondering if anyone has tried the mystery picnic for two from AmazingCo. They have one in German Village and one in Yellow Springs. Was thinking of gifting it to someone, but would like some honest opinions from someone who's done it. Thanks!
It is not filled with anything, it is just a long donut with maple frosting - if only I could get one in Columbus
I’m coming from a small town in North Carolina starting new job in Columbus next month, so very nervous and a little anxiety-ridden. My job is just north of Worthington, but I think I’d be okay with driving a little farther to live in a safe, pretty location with like-minded people around. Love the personality and aesthetic of German Village, which is about a 23 min drive to my job. Would prefer a walkable neighborhood, with lots going on- “happening”, if you will. Would love to meet friends my age, so wondering where the young professionals are without being around a bunch of college kids. Heard Grandview is safe and pretty, but also very boring. Looking into Dublin also because i love irish culture:-) Any insight about Columbus neighborhoods/areas?
I had to run an errand and the Browns wasn’t on 97.1? I heard the Browns on there earlier this year? I know the Browns are bad, but so bad that the fan said naw.
Want to try some wine but I have no idea what to get when I start looking at the selections at stores. Anyone have any recommendations for stuff that I could find here in Columbus? Or if any stores have staff that would be able to help me choose a bottle or two?
I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. I know this intersection has always had issues because it's not perfectly lined up when you need drive east or west across high street on Whittier, but the amount of times I am honked at and/or flipped off for taking my right of way by people turning LEFT to go south on high street is just incredible. I drive east on Whittier across this intersection almost daily and it is practically a daily occurrence at this point. Am I wrong? Am I the asshole? Am I supposed to sit there and let everyone turn left in front of me before I'm allowed to continue going straight?
Something I can pick up today if possible
Ive recently moved to Columbus and I like to do stand up comedy just for fun. I was wondering if there was any places in Columbus that have an open mic nights (preferably free for performers)
We're planning to drive to Columbus over Christmas, just to get out of our little town, do something fun, and see some new stuff. Pretty low-key for a couple in their late 50's, and so far we just have plans to get a nice hotel for the night, and have a nice dinner somewhere. But I'm wondering if there are any Christmas "events" that we might be able to do in the area? I think that I saw that the Zoo has a big light display, but I don't know how good that is, and it looks like it's still open on Christmas Eve. Any other recommendations in the area for special Christmas goings on ?
Thx!
They had a booth and my wife loved them, I wanna get her one for christmas but didn't want to right in front of her. I can find them online but I'd rather support someone local! It's a long shot but let me know.

Has anyone been to the NYE party at Boathouse? What was your experience? Is it worth the $130 ticket?
Hello,
Coming up at the beginning of January, I'm traveling with my Wife, Brother-In-Law, and niece (10) to Mad River Mountain. We will on Friday afternoon, and my, BIL, and Niece wanted to do Snowboarding lessons (none of us have ever snowboarded before) the following day (Saturday)
I was hoping to find some feedback from someone familiar with Mad River Mountain on ski lessons and equipment rental.
I don't see any group lessons that include both Children and Adults. Are private lessons a better option for us? I only seem to see individual options available for private lessons.
My brother-in-law and I are pretty athletic, I see that there are "1st Timer" level lessons, and "Beginner" lessons. I'm a little scared that if I sign up for 1st-Timer lessons, we will wish we had gone with a harder lesson. I am also scared to skip that level and be totally lost taking the "Beginner" lessons when I haven't ever snowboarded before.
I'm reading from other (older) reddit posts, that equipment rental and pickup through MRM are atrocious. I don't want to spend half my day waiting in line to pick up equipment, and also read that there were equipment rental places close by that were much more streamlined. Could anyone comment on whether or not the long lines for equipment pick up are still an issue? Should I rent equipment from somewhere else to avoid wasting my day?
Similarly, I read that the lift ticket pickup line is an issue. We won't be there until Friday afternoon, but should I try to get my Saturday lift ticket on Friday?
Thanks in advance for any input on this. We are excited to go, but I want to make sure we take full advantage of our time!
Hosting Christmas dinner this year and want to do ham. Should we go for the $50 ham at Market District or the $100 ham at Honey Baked Ham?
Even if my seats are in the nosebleeds ;)
Does anyone know how resources are for elementary music teachers in Columbus City schools? Do they get their own rooms and have budgets? My mom was an elementary teacher with CCS and she was saying that a lot of music teachers have to teach from a cart. I've been living in Albuquerque for the past 10 years and am thinking about moving back home soon. I'm an elementary music teacher here and we have a really strong fine arts department so every music and art teacher in the district has their own room and is given a budget to purchase supplies. Either way I'm probably going to suck it, just want to mentally prepar myself.
