Cub Scouts in Del

Good morning! My son is 5/6 this year still in preK. Next year when he is in Kindergarten, I'm hoping to enroll him in some sort of group activity and think Cub Scouts will be his speed. I was in scouting growing up and loved it so I'm hoping to find an active, diverse troop around here :) Any positive experiences? TIA!

Updated voter registration confirmation?

Hi, Delaware. My wife and I have moved to a new apartment. Our address was in Delaware. New address is still in Delaware. So we updated our info everywhere. BMV, registration to vote, everything. Poling place hasn't even changed bc we didn't move far.

Now we've both received in the mail the little peach color postcards from the board of elections acknowledging that the update to our registrations was received and accepted.

And then today we both got in the mail a letter from the board of elections saying that we urgently need to ensure our voter registrations are current bc we've recently changed our address with usps. Which is true but odd bc we updated usps months ago, and our voter registrations a couple weeks ago. So the letter tells us to fill out/sign the back and confirm the address they have -- which is correct bc we've already updated them.

Why did they send us this letter when they've already sent us confirmation that they've received our updates?

If we go ahead and sign these and mail them back confirming what they've already confirmed to us, are we just going to get another little postcard from them confirming again? And what's with the redundancy? Just annoying timing with how all the offices communicate?

I am so tired of the people "in charge" going against the voters.

Actually I am just damn tired of the people in charge period. Stop the expansion of MORE and MORE houses that you're giving tax breaks to the developers yet you cant fix our streets and alleys. And they are gearing up for yet another vote to increase income tax. NO.

EDIT: Fixed ouu to our

What to do with junk car?

Any recommendations on where to take a junk car? Probably only worth a couple hundred but obviously I'd like to get something out of it. It runs but not sure how much longer. Any suggestions in the area?

Frontier Fiber vs Spectrum Gig

Moving to the area south east of the town in a couple months. Have the option for both and wanted to see if anyone had Frontier fiber specifically. I’ve seen people say stay away from Frontier, but noted that the implication was it was standard internet connection, not fiber.

Spectrum/charter is area dependent, as I’ve been very lucky to have had maybe 2 issues, non weather related, in nearly 20 years. Just tired of their pricing BS.

TIA

I used to jog in this area and this barren space is huge...someone should build senior living or regular apartments here , would be convenient for the residents to just be able to walk to target (off of Sawmill Pkwy in Powell)

Who is your Internet provider?

I live in South Delaware and was seeing if anybody could recommend a internet service you use and like? I have 1gb Spectrum, but my bills increasing every year has made me want to leave.

I haven't even been able to find a alternative that's available besides them. AT&T fiber and Frontier aren't even available in the area. Verizon only has speeds up to 300mbps

Any other options for highspeed internet in Delaware that's not Spectrum?

Open late place for private remote learning

Hello,
I am set to begin grad school this month. I have a course that is offered live but online wednesdays 8pm-930pm. I am looking for a business with adequate WiFi and electrical plugs to use for this class experience. Some privacy is best. Libraries are not open late enough but would be ideal. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Live in Ohio any ideas on decent paying jobs?

I’m looking for a job recently I love driving a CDL commercial vehicles.

I can do seasonal work in the winter.

But I love gardening and being outdoors. I like working hard and being around people in a group environment.

Me and my long time partner of almost 10 years broke up. I’m having a hard time coping with an affair I had during that time.

Sadly I haven’t cried once over my relationship that I had for 10 years. I never fully got over the affair I had. Idk if I ever will but, I have to do something in the mean time.

Any suggestions are appreciated! Like I said I love plants, animals, I have a CDL.

I may relocate for a decent pay. But I have a family that I care about. I would like to be able to see them when I need to. Thank you, Any suggestions are appreciated 💕 Btw I can pass a drug test, just because I live in Ohio and I know it’s legal it doesn’t mean it’s legal for a CDL holder who has a federal license. I don’t hate on it either. So please not bashing anyone who does
