Political Inquiry for Cochise Residents

Are there any voters who were previously democratic, but due to border security/immigration have decided to vote republican for the upcoming presidential election?

Not looking to start a war in the chats, but mainly looking for people willing to go public and do an interview.

Thanks for reading and have a great day!

Does Cochise Stronghold have any running water?

The campground just opened up, so I'm wondering if there is any running water over there. All of the hiking spots in Tucson are pretty dry.

Wetlands in/near Tombstone?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_pgVB0uJX0

Hello everyone,

Born and raised in New River, AZ. I have been duck hunting here in Arizona for the past 4 years.

Although it isn't very popular here, duck hunting in this state is very fun and very challenging.

Ducks Unlimited posted the linked video in 2020. The video shows what seems to be acres and acres of wetland habitat outside of Tombstone, AZ. I have only been down to Tombstone a handful of times. I have been looking over the town and surrounding areas on Google Earth for weeks and I cannot seem to find any area resembling the area in this video.

Does anyone know where this might be? Or can anyone direct me to a more specific area that might have something like this?

Thank you in advance!

Air Force Proposal to Increase Military Training Here

As you may have heard, the US Air Force has proposed expanding military training in our area, which could allow military flights as low as 100 feet above ground level; regular supersonic, sonic-boom-producing training flights at 5,000 feet; and the release of chaff and flares over southeastern Arizona and southwestern New Mexico. We invite you to sign a petition to oppose this here.

In response to community pressure, the Air Force has extended the deadline for scoping comments on their proposal for the Tombstone MOA (which includes parts of Bisbee) to June 3. You can submit comments here. We have posted examples of comments submitted earlier here.

For more information and other actions you can take, including reporting nuisance flights, visit our website at https://peacefulchiricahuaskies.com/. We are also on Facebook and Instagram. Thank you.

Cochise area family history

Hello everyone!

I’m a genealogist & I am trained in discovering local Arizona family lineages and stories through historical records.

LINK TO INTEREST FORM: Family History Interest Form

This is the interest form I put together for anyone interested in learning more about their Arizona family history. I research & create family trees, historical road trip itineraries, ancestral maps, etc! It’s a super cool way to connect with your own history and great knowledge pass down to future generations.

Here are some things you can discover from my research:

  • Newspaper articles about your ancestors (Crime? Scandal? Who knows!)
  • Your great-great-great grandparents’ names
  • Physical descriptions of your ancestors from census records and war draft cards
  • Six full generations back of your family tree
  • Photographs of your ancestors you have never seen before (Found in Newspaper archives, I have subscriptions)

If you are interested, please view the interest form at the top with some examples. 🙂Instagram w/ reviews: heritage.hunters

If you have any questions, please feel free to send me a message! For those of you with ancestry outside of Arizona, please send me a message. I’d be happy to help you or direct you to a better suited genealogist. Thanks!
