Does anyone know anything about the equestrian team at Clemson? Are tryouts competitive? Do you have to have experience? Are they nice? ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ðŸ˜
Serious question for the folks working at the parking services at Clemson. I understand that there is a specific permit for Graduate Assistants who are allowed to park on employee spaces an hour earlier than other students. But seriously... I am a PhD Candidate teaching 50 students three times a week for my department. I have my own office, I need to participate in department meetings, I have access to iRoar for faculty and advisor services, I literally am an employee teaching my own classes, not an assistant to anyone. I need to be on campus before the orange/purple buses are even out. But for parking reasons, I'm still considered a "Graduate Assistant" and am not allowed to get an employee permit? How is that fair? I don't even take classes anymore, I'm working on research. PhD is a job. Even more so if you are teaching a heavy load of 3 classes a week. There's gotta be something we can do as PhD Candidates and Instructors to be able to get an employee permit.
It’s a ring that connects a shirt together and I need it to be closed. I just don’t know how to solder or where to do it lmao
My boyfriend and I are looking for something we can rent that is NOT per person. Everything seems to be for students with roommates but it’ll be just us two and obviously we would like to split the total monthly cost 😂 any ideas?
Hey everyone, I know this has probably been asked a lot but what are some good housing options off-campus? I don't want something insanely expensive but my #1 criteria is being able to use any mode of transportation reliably that isn't driving my car and attempting to park on this campus. Any apartments with reliable buses to campus, any distance I can comfortably take an e-scooter or a bike, etc. Access to Ethernet is a big one too.
Where is the best place for a men’s cut?
I was wondering what’s the cheapest rent that’s still downtown? I would love to live there but some of the prices are crazy. Thanks
I’m applying early action for Clemson and with the application being due in 2 weeks, I want to figure out a major (i know you can change it later) and i’m currently stuck between microbiology and biochemistry.
If you have experience with either of those majors, can you tell me the pros and cons for both of them.
Either way, I’ll probably minor in the one i dont pick

Hi! Does anyone know if students not in the college of business can use the Bloomberg terminals or take the class that teaches you how to use them? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
any good sunrise spots around anderson/clemson area?
Hi! Curious how much an undergrad cap and gown will cost me? I'm graduating in December and can't find any information on how much they cost. Thanks!
Hey I (21M) am an international student from Ghana and I recently got my admit to study MS Computer Engineering at Clemson for Spring 2025. I am working on acquiring my visa. Gathering my finances too. I am just a bit lost right now because I feel like I might miss out on perhaps a few important things while preparing. Some of the confusing things for instance;
How much should I really put together as cost of attendance (including health insurance I believe)? I know there's an estimate on the school website but I want a more realistic/ideal answer, especially from others' experiences
Also, where do I start from when looking for housing? What are my best options? How much do I put down for that ? How do I get roommates if I can't afford all by myself ?
Most importantly, how is the Computer Engineering program? I've been placed in the Intelligent Systems area, what do I need to know, what should I brace myself for.
What about on campus employment? Per my visa type I should have only 20 hours per week. Can I make best out of that, how easy is it to get employment as a student (graduate especially).
These are a few questions I got, I'm still open to other opinions or advice...
Thank you in advance
My son is planning to apply to Clemson this Fall. We are out of state his SATs are 1220 weighted GPA is 4.0 Excellent leadership resume that anyone would be proud of. His school counselor mentioned the Summer start program and I have a couple of questions-
How many kids participate in this program and live on campus?
Will indicating that he is open to this program help his chances of admission? Is it a program for kids on the cusp of not getting in- otherwise denied?
lastly any first hand accounts from people who have done it. We love where we live and he has a great group of friends- summers here are amazing and I know it would be really difficult for him to forgo his last summer here- not to mention his inability to work and save $. BUT Clemson is his first choice and making a sacrifice in the short term for a long term goal is what success is all about.
Thanks in advance.
You buying a premade costume? DIYing one? Is the ‘corset with short tutu’ thing still trendy? You doing sexy? Classic? Funny? Scary? Trying to make sure I match the vibe of what most girls are wearing
Alright everyone, as we all know Clemson was hit directly by Hurricane Helene, the storm that tore through Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and SW Virginia. The Homecoming football game against Stanford was played, regardless if we wanted it to or not. Not like we have much say over that here on Reddit, anyway.
That being said, with how contentious a lot of the posts and comments have gotten regarding the Hurricane Damage and us hosting the football game, I locked most of them and the in-fighting is going to stop. There's no point in bickering back and forth about whether or not the school should have gone forward with the game. It's a moot point right now given it already happened. Most importantly, we need to put together a central source for hurricane-related information and keep it accurate and up to date. Feel free to post any announcements, updates, press releases, or similar links/events in this thread for today. If we want, I can do a Mod Thread each day for the next couple weeks or so as more information comes out. If not, we can keep this thread live and stickied.

Hii , I have my family around Clemson looking for business opportunities. We are from a small country in Asia and would love to share our food with Clemson folks.
Do you think a food truck or stall selling home made mo:mo and authentic Himalayan noodles would work out well around tiger blvd ?
Yours opinion and recommendations would be amazing, thank you!!
I'm applying Early Action to Clemson, the EA deadline is 15th October, but what is the deadline for the Honors College? I can't find it online. Thank you!
Hey all! My sister parked in a lot reserved for her office DT and Death Valley Towing came by and towed. They said another business called it in, but she was parked in her office spot where she's allowed. Death Valley says she has to pay to get car back and the other business is currently closed.
Any advice? Ik Death Valley sucks.
i wanna start going to the gym a few times a week but since i’m so out of shape, i wanna go when it’s not busy so i won’t be so embarrassed. does anyone know hours or days when there are less people there?
I’m planning on going to Clemson, as a girl do any of you feel like it’s necessary to rush? I don’t really want to just afraid of not having friends, but I also need a 4.0 scared I won’t be able to manage it.
Very disappointed in my school tonight. This is not the shining beacon in the night you wanna be. Holding a game, taking up resources for parties when the people who live here sit in the dark. If your here from out of town, go home. End of story.
Will there be classes on Monday? I know spots of Clemson don’t have power and I’m wondering if class will be canceled Monday.
I’m an in state student with a 4.6 W and 3.67 UW gpa. 1310 SAT super score. 159/651. And I have good EC with 2 internships, 350+ volunteer hours and a leader of a club. I want to major in marketing and my backup is international business. Taken quite a few honors and 2 aps and currently taking 4 dual enrollment. Do I have a good chance?
From out of town, looking for places to go before the game
