Do any of my fellow Redditors have any advice or are willing to help us navigate the process of getting a building permit with the county? We already have zoning on board. We are literally wanting to move a rough 200sqft building to our property that we purchased that is unzoned. However, we are being told 5,000 different things when we call the county for guidance. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I’m having to go out of town for 5 days in April. Has anyone had a good experience with a dog sitter or boarding in the area for their reactive dog? My pup takes a really really long time to warm up to new people/situations. I’m hoping to do a few test boardings before actually leaving for the whole 5 days. The one night I boarded him before was not a good experience so just want to know if anyone has any recs.

Hey everyone! I’m an enthusiastic metal detectorist looking for permission to explore old private properties or farmland for historical finds. I have a genuine passion for history and enjoy discovering relics that may have been forgotten over time. Or even if you’ve lost something on your property and need help locating it!

If you own any older properties, especially older homes, farms, or land that might have a rich history, I’d love to hear from you. I am based in Five Forks but am open to travel. Of course, I’m always respectful of property, and I’ll leave everything as I found it (I always follow ethical detecting practices and ensure the land is left in the best possible condition).

Ps- I’m specifically looking for private land owners as I’ve hit the public areas pretty hard in Greenville/Spartanburg. Pic is one of my latest finds from a private property that was previously a plantation near Simpsonville and sold to a subdivision. It’s a late 18th/early 19th century signet ring. I always turn over anything of value to the property owner if they would like it.

Does anyone know if there are plans to build a dog park in/around Greenville's downtown? It would make living downtown so much easier with a dog.
