For the love of all things, does anyone have an extra bib/ticket they want to sell for the IOP 5k tomorrow?!?!
Anyone know any local job fairs for veterans nearby ?
I'm working on a haloween costume and I could use a deer skull. Do you have too many deer skulls crowding your home? Are you such a baller hunter that you have more deer skulls than you can shake a deer skull at? Let me know!
Clean is great, but if for somre reason you have a gristly one, that's probably spooky.
In return I can hang out on your lawn and traumatize children!
My fellow dog and cat lovers, I don't know where y'all are taking your pets but I cannot recommend Best Friends Animal Clinic enough. The vets there are fantastic and Dr. Mokos has literally saved my dog's life on multiple occasions. The preventative care is top notch, the bedside manner is fantastic, and they have been able to perform lifesaving surgeries for my Dog multiple times. I heard about BFAC from the good people at Charlston Vetrenary Referral Center. CVRC is great but they are so expensive, even with insurance.
I've seen other vets and the quality of some of the chain establishments seems to have fallen dramatically. I don't want my vet to get over crowded but I want all the pets of this city to get the best care that they can.
And also, please take your pets to the vet. Get pet insurance. The ASPCA insurance has also saved my dog's life and my savings account. I was told that 90% of cat owners don't take their cats in for regular check ups. That's terrible. Get your cat and/dog some insurance and get them a checkup.
Visiting for a weekend and able to get a reservation at either Vern’s or Marbled & Fin but can only go to one? Which one should I go to?
Any recommendations? DD2 is even better...
Thanks in advance.
If you’re available tomorrow get out to paintball Charleston in Summerville
I'm coming to Charleston this weekend and I am looking for a dinner reccomendation and a brunch recommendation.
Dinner can be anywhere in DT area but I would prefer it not to be super expensive.
I want to do brunch around King St/College of Charleston campus.
The strike is over. If you’re buying for aid, cool. But I don’t think you all as a whole are that kind.
Anyone know of any plans to relocate the now closed dollar tree in west Ashley?
What is everyone doing for Halloween this year???
In the late 2000's my childhood home in Hollywood was demolished, and My dad moved us into a nice 3 bedroom rental right off the Edgewater end of Wapoo.
In the main/guest bathroom, in the small nook the toilet set into, there were hoof prints in the ceiling, leading from above the toilet toward the sink and mirror on the opposite wall. Whoever installed those boards just painted over the indented prints, and in the right lighting they are very noticable! One night about a month after we moved in, I finally noticed them. Immediately, I told EVERYONE in the house. Like, who wouldn't, there were animal prints on the ceiling.. demon goat.. backyard deer.. we pondered, who could have made those prints?
Well, once the hoof prints were discovered, my dad and my brother, who has since passed on, decided it had to be Plopper, the Spider Pig himself, and in turn they sang Spider Pig on a daily basis.. its now quite a fond memory for me.
For the past few years, I've been curious.. If you live at 1841 Westfield, or by chance know the person who does, could you please tell me if the prints still live in that ceiling. As weird as they are, they're a symbol of home; A bit of nostalgia, that I hold quite dear.
Good people of Charleston, Please, enlighten this native; Do Spider Pigs tracks still mark the ceiling of that adorable little Westfield home?
I want to be able to watch the Broncos and Raiders game this Sunday because of the throwback uniforms and me and my mom are both lifelong Denver Broncos fans so where would I be able to see this? I know it’s not gonna be on TV or streaming. Is there any bar or restaurant like Carolina ale house in Summerville or Charleston sports pub in goose Creek that would show it?
Hi yall! Local here - wheres the best banana pudding? Edmunds Oast was my previous number 1, but they seemed to have changed the recipe lately and it’s now kind of boring. I think it had like a meringue on top before, but now it’s just whipped cream or something. Where’s y’all’s favorite?
Tour guide is stumped. What flag is this? Mast side blue and white vertical lines. Anyone know what the flag is?
I have a unique employment opportunity in Charleston, currently I own a 4 br home in Connecticut and my mortgage is unreasonably reasonable. Married, one kid going into Sr year at a great HS next year, one entering as frosh at that same school, it's walking distance BTW. My favorite place to grab a burger and have a couple drinks is also walking distance. Finances aren't amazing but I don't want for anything (disposable income on hand). Currently I commute an hour, which I consider reasonable. What kind of salary do I need in order to recreate a similar life while working in Charleston? Thanks for any advice.
EDIT: I can see the "why move" movement is going to take off here. The answer may very well be to stay put. The reason I'm considering is twofold; the wife has always wanted to relocate south, and the job itself really is a sweet opportunity. The whole "where do you see yourself in 5 years" thing? This is better than what I said. But there are more important considerations than my professional ambition, hence the nature of my questions surrounding lifestyle.
I've seen ads for two, downtown and Johns Island. Were they funny? Did you get your money's worth?
Hi, I’m looking for apartments in mount pleasant! I have read terrible reviews and am just lost now…
We are searching for a vacant 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment ranging from $ 2,000-3,000 monthly. We would prefer something newer and in a safe area.
We would love to find something that’s pet friendly and clean with good management !!!
Other amenities we’d like but not required are:
Friend is looking for a lawyer that doesn’t cost a million dollars cause she does not want to mess up any of the paperwork doing it alone. Mutual split, no shared assets and no kids. Any recs?
Last sighting was >4 months ago!
You know you’ve gone too far when Tommy Newell is the voice of reason
I'm a USNA alumni and new to the Charleston area. Wanted to know if there are any bars in the area that are popular for other USNA grads. Looking for a place to watch the Navy-Air Force game this weekend.
If there was a near world-ending event people are going to clean shelves out regardless of what other people may need. This strike reminded me of how inherently selfish individuals may be. Hoarding toilet paper, and paper towels for what? Are you building a bunker?
Glad they are going to work but the way people reacted to this strike had me thinking a lot I guess.
Have yall ever had the cinnamon rolls from Kudzu in mount pleasant/pawleys? Does anyone have a copycat recipe or even better - the actual recipe? Willing to sign a NDA
Are there any good places to look for engagement rings that people recommend? I want to take my long time girlfriend somewhere where she can see all the options and pick out something she really likes.
