Hey everyone, I moved down here to MB in early October to start a new job at a large hotel chain. I am looking for someplace safe and drug free to lie my head at night. As that was not the case for my last place, I find myself on the hunt for another place to stay. I work a hybrid schedule, so I work from home typically 1-3 days per week.
I am a clean, responsible, and introverted 33 years old just looking for someplace to stay while i focus on my career. I would prefer a private bedroom and bathroom. no drugs, non-smoker, & no pets(though I do love them). If you have a spare unused room that you would like to rent out for some extra money during these trying times, please lmk.
Alright, so here at home (Midlands) we have (well, had) a nice, comfy dessert place. Warm, soft light, piano sometimes. Order desserts, coffee, tea (breakfast in the mornings too), and a limited selection of sweet cocktails. Here's the important part: they (used to) stay open until 8 or 9.
My wife and I are taking a short trip down to Myrtle Beach. It's our 2nd anniversary, and I was wanting to find a place similar to what I described above, because it used to be one of our FAVORITE date night events, especially when they had pianists. However, in my googling and trying to parse through past posts here, I am struggling finding something, which means it probably doesn't exist. However, I was hoping that my coastal family might be able to point me in the right direction, or confirm my suspicions! The parts I'm most concerned about: good desserts, cocktails, and open late!
Any and all help is greatly appreciated, I'm hoping this does end up working out to surprise my wife! TIA
Additional: I'm hoping this doesn't break rule 1. I DID try googling and rephrasing, and searching through the sub. Perhaps there was a particular wording I should have used, but I just wanted to say here, I DID try.
ETA: right now, I'm considering Crave Italian Grill & Bar
hi all!
my boyfriend and i are planning our first vacation together in march for spring break! we have rented a airbnb right on the water on n ocean blvd between 5th and 6th ave n.
we’re hoping to find things within a 30 minute walking distance, cheap or free, and is available to those under 21!
My family will be moving here by next summer. Are there any pick up soccer groups in the area?
Where can I find street tacos?
Anyone know where I can buy a fresh, raw, bone-in butt half ham for Christmas Eve dinner? So far no luck at Publix or Food Lion. The Salty Butcher at 79th Avenue won't bother calling me back. Inheard there's a meat store in Conway I'll drive to if I have to. Thanks!
I'm trying to find a gift for my parents in 60's who moved to myrtle beach. Anyone have gift ideas up to $200? Good gift certificates, restaurants, fun activities?
staying here for a few weeks this winter. What are the best places to park and go for long walks on the beach?
I was wondering if anyone had experience with watercrest at all I would love to hear...
Does anyone have any experience with watercrest at all for a living facility?
Hello!
I am planning a surprise sunrise proposal on the beach the morning of January 18th, and I was wondering if anyone had any local photographers they would recommend hiring for this…
I am really hoping to capture this moment forever in photograph, thank you for any and all recommendations!
Hello!
This summer I am planning to work as a J1 worker in the USA. I got this opportunity to work as a lifeguard at Myrtle Waves.
Have anyone else worked there? I want to get some feedback and I want to know if you need some special lifeguard certificate or programme if you work there.
Thank you!
Hey everyone! I’m in my early 30s and currently stayed with my parents for the next several months. They retired down in the Myrtle area about 4 years ago. I’m helping them out as my dad is sick.
With that said… I really want to scope out the area with a different lens while I’m here full time. I’ve joined a few different yoga studios which have been great! But now I’m looking for something a bit more.
Any rec’s on where single 30somethings hang out around here? Bar rec’s? Sports clubs? Running clubs/groups? Coffee shop hang out spots?
Much obliged 🙏🏻🧘♀️🤘🏻
Glad to know it is legal in South Carolina. TIA
i used to go every weekend as a kid but i havent been in 8 years, we used to be on the beach till almost midnight, is that still ok? or do they chase people off like in cali?
For all you chronic pain people in the MB/Conway area I need some help. My current pain management doc is in Greensboro, NC which is a 3.5 hour drive. He prescribes my narcotics currently. That drive is getting to be too much 4x a year. I have found zero doctors in MB who will manage narcotics. All they want to do is intervention (blocks, ablation, etc) which I’ve had zero success with.
Do any of you have a doctor that manages your meds? This is getting ridiculous and I need some help, please.
I know the history so I understand but damn, we are not all pill thieves or abusers-for some of us, me, narcotics are the only way to somewhat manage my pain. Thanks in advance.
Hi, we are new here. Does anyone have any watch outs about rental agencies ? We are planning a stay of several months . Thanks !
Why are there not more Walk up and order windows in the area
I know a while back bill H 3805 was introduced to raise the SC minimum wage up to $17/hr. I have always laughed at the idea and thought we’d be the last state to raise minimum wage about the required federal amount.
I keep being told lately by several people that the bill passed for Horry county and would be in effect January 1, 2025. If this is true why isn’t it being reported in the news? Why can’t I find anything on google besides AI search results saying “yes”. There are no articles I can really find. Can anyone confirm this?
Parking recommendations nearish 82nd ave? Just want a quiet spot to read my book on the beach. Need somewhere with a public restroom/has a portapotty by it
What’s a good beach access to park at? I want something near a public restroom/portapotty
Any recommendations? Preferably near 82nd ave
Just want to throw this out there. I go almost everywhere with my large friendly dog. I drove up to an ice cream place that I thought had a window outside you could place orders at but it did not so I left. I pass coffee shops and other food places walking my dog at Market Common and the boardwalk area pretty much daily. I bypass these businesses because I cannot take the dog in and I cannot leave him alone outside either. That go me thinking how much more these business owners could make if they had a window you could walk up to and place an order. Same with Lakewood campground, I could never get a coffee or ice cream there because, well, it is just me and the dog.
Hey going to be in Myrtle Beach for a couple days at the end of the week for the first time. Will have the family, including 7/9 year old.
Anyone have recommended things to do or places to eat?
Also, what’s the deal with parking? Staying at the Dunes Village Resort (~4 miles north of 501). Do I need to bring a couple roll of quarters or is everything done thru an app? Thanks!
Hi all! I’m planning a bachelor party in Myrtle Beach. I’ve never been there, so I’m looking to you locals to offer some advice! What are some hidden gems, best experiences, or off-the-beaten-path things that only locals know about or that you think cannot be missed? What are some things that make your city so amazing and you think others should experience in your community (or places that you like to keep for yourself)? I’m not looking for just “go golfing” or “go to the boardwalk.” What places and experiences make MB special? Thanks in advance!!
