Hello! I am Moving to Cayucos in August w/ my 8 year old. I would love to hear opinions on the local school and to know what activities/camps/classes there are available for kiddos of this age. I realize it is a small, laidback, sleepy beach town. It is one of the reason we are moving there. :)
Hey everyone and anyone
I am planning a lowkey camping (San Simeon) bachelor party for a buddy of mine. We’re staying away from deep sea fishing.
I was hoping there would be a local (dad/ grandpa) that would be willing to show us some ropes about pier fishing? If there’s someone who’d like to make a little extra cash to show a couple guys a few things that’d be awesome!
We’ll rent our own poles and buy our own bait, just need someone to tell us what works and be sort of a guide.
If you know anyone who’d be interested send me a DM

Hello! Does anyone have any tips on how to get access to a beach wheelchair for a day in March? We are hoping to help our grandmother get to watch her grandson get married on the beach.
There is a government website with a list of public beach wheelchair options, but unfortunately the Cayucos one appears to be unavailable. I'm not sure how else to get one besides buying one online.
We have property on Ocean Ave. since 1956, and really concerned about what's happening, so any info is appreciated!
Thanks so much for anything you can provide.
My boyfriend, dog and I have visited and stayed in Cayucos on vacations many times now. We absolutely LOVE it and I am hoping to spend Christmas there.
We're pretty sure we know where we'd stay and we are fairly familiar (as a non local can be) with the area.
My question, I suppose, is, what, if anything is open on Christmas Eve and Day? Are there any restaurants open, or open in Morro Bay?
Any general recs for a Christmas in Cayucos? Like I said, we've stayed there plenty of times but this would be our first Christmas there.
I live solo and might have enough to buy a small home or condo. Are beach-side homes very expensive?
I would like to move away from the city and live somewhere peaceful and quiet.
I have been coming to Cayucos since the 80s and am 4th generation Cayucos lover. Ideally 2 bedrooms - does not need to be updated. My mom still lives in SLO country but we now live in the in the “big city” 🤣 A most sincere thanks for any hot leads! A most sincere thanks!
I am wondering what the best bar is in Cayucos. Is the saloon shutdown?
Would be nice to get some other quick service food in that spot.
I was walking around Duckie's Chowder House this morning, and I noticed something rather out of place for Cayucos - hell, would barely expect it in LA county. It's called Mical Skincare, and it replaced Cayucos Surf Co. (even though they're still down the street.)
Anyone know anything about this place? It's run by a Christie and Amber, they sell 'natural skincare' products.
