KOTTENTAIL (2007) Dir: Tony Urban Fun yet ridiculous early entry in the "Killer Easter Bunny" Genre, which now there are a ton of. Cool makeup, kookie characters.

Metal Man from 2008 is an Iron Man knock off with less than 2% of that budget. It stars the legend Reggie Bannister (from the Phantasm series) but not even he can save this one. Watch with some mates for a laugh but other than that it's pretty much what you expect.

This trippy, low budget new film seems to have every bizarre idea under the sun. Plus it’s narrated by Michael Madsen

Cade The Tortured Crossing is the sequel to Twisted Pair made by the prenominal Neil Breen. In this he punches up CGI tigers who turn into women. Uses free background images and stock footage (as expected) but this one is 90% BreenScreen.

This week on Podcasting After Dark we review The Gate (1987)

Apple Podcasts // Spotify // Patreon // Website // RSS

The Gate (1987) synopsis: “Kids left home alone accidentally unleash a horde of malevolent demons from a mysterious hole in their suburban backyard.”

Starring: Stephen Dorff, Christa Denton, Louis Tripp, and Carl Kraines
Director: Tibor Takács

This week on Podcasting After Dark, the boys review The Gate! A movie Zak has been talking about bringing to PAD since they first started doing the show, and Corey, a first-time viewer, was not let down at all! The Gate is a fantastic kid-friendly cult horror movie that still holds up in 2024, especially the minions! And we aren’t talking about the yellow guys from Despicable Me lol!

In Ghoul School we get some actors having a laugh, others bring serious and others literally screwing up their takes yet having them kept in. Water gets contaminated and Ghouls (some with just painted faces and some with rubber teeth) kinda run around and semi fight.

This week on Podcasting After Dark we review The Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue (1974)

Apple Podcasts // Spotify // Patreon // Website // RSS

The Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue aka Let Sleeping Corpses Lie (1974) synopsis: “A cop chases two hippies suspected of a series of Manson family-like murders; unbeknownst to him, the real culprits are the living dead, brought to life with a hunger for human flesh by ultrasonic radiation being used for pest control.”

Starring: Cristina Galbó, Ray Lovelock, Arthur Kennedy, and Jeannine Mestre
Director: Jorge Grau

This week on Podcasting After Dark, Zak and Corey review The Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue! Yes, the film has other names, a lot of them, in fact, but this is the one the boys know it as so that’s what we’re calling it lol!

Now that we got that out of the way, Zak and Corey are really excited to breakdown and review, Manchester Morgue. A film that both hosts love because, like Children Shouldn’t Play With Dead Things, it inhabits and interesting time in zombie movie history: A time before all the rules were really locked in by George Romero with Dawn of the Dead in 1978.

Demonoid from 1981 should have really been called The Killer Rubber Left Hand. So for some reason the devil possesses your left hand and then takes over you. Sometimes the 'Demons' fight, most of the time they run off like babies. Not what I was expecting from a movie called 'Demonoid' must say.

This may be one of them only times I'd say watch the dubbed version over the original, mainly for a laugh. Def not 'the worst zombie' movie I've seen a few say, but def makes you go wtf in places.

This week on Podcasting After Dark we review Android (1982) starring Klaus Kinski and Don Keith Opper

Apple Podcasts // Spotify // Patreon // Website // RSS

Android (1982) synopsis: “A strange doctor secretly experiments with androids on his space station. His assistant is Max, a curious android who wants to see the world and meet a girl. Criminals hide on their station and soon violence erupts.”

Starring: Klaus Kinski, Don Keith Opper, Brie Howard, and Norbert Weisser
Director: Aaron Lipstadt

This week on Podcasting After Dark, Zak and Corey review Android! A Roger Corman produced film that’s so much better than it has any right to be. And if you think Don Keith Opper only plays dimwitted handymen, like he did in Critters, then you are in for a surprise! He’s a tour de force in Android, and that says a lot considering he’s co-starring with Klaus Kiniski!
