If you make your own beard oil will it be as good as beard octane, fable Dr nicks etc. Or just average stuff.

Do you really need four to five different oils in your beard oil. Do do you really get the benefit of all those oils. Because for example there are all that different percentages so if you take four drops of the beard oil how do you know you're getting four drops of everything.

I was thinking making my own but it's a little expensive to start up. But I thought it'd be cheaper than buying. But you look at the cost you get Oregon when you get about four or five different oils and you got to get the big bottles. And then you got to mix them all together and then you know you make your own beard oil. But there be a really need all those different types of oils and doing really get the benefit of all those oils from our beard oil.

The 'best' beard oil?

Hey, I'm looking for a good beard oil that has the most useful ingredients like jojoba oil, black castor oil and peppermint oil. So far I haven't found the one that fits my needs as I'm planning on using minoxidil. I need something to keep the beard healthy and something that will deal with itching and possible flaky dry skin. I would prefer a product without a lot of DHT blocking ingredients, if you know about something fitting my description please let me know.

When should I use Butter vs Oil?

I have a tub of Badass Beardcare outlaw butter and a bottle of oil. Currently, I am using the oil before bed after I wash my beard, and the butter in the mornings to help hold it through the day, but my fiancee thinks I am doing it backward and I can't decide. I should add that my beard is only about 3-5 inches so far. Thoughts, Opinions, Ideas?

Any idea what base oil(s) Tom Ford uses?

Hey folks! I like to make my own beard oils and balms. I usually use some combination of jojoba, argan, grapeseed or avocado oils. I was gifted a bottle of Tom Ford Conditioning Beard Oil, and although I don't care for the scent, I do love how light the oil feels. I'm not looking to recreate the scent, but I'd love to be able to approximate the feel of it. Any suggestions?

Looking for the ‘best’ Australian based beard oil company

I’m looking for a good beard oil company that is based in Australia, I don’t want to pay crazy prices just for shipping and want to support the local guys. I have tried Hairy man care, The bearded chap, and Milkman grooming, with Milkman being my favourite. Has anyone tried some Australian companies? I want to hear what you think of them.

How do I the oil out of this bottle-top?

I've just been bobbing it upside down like I'm getting the last bit out of a near-empty ketchup bottle. Bur there HAS to be a better way. Right?

Need replacement suggestion for Gentlemen's cut from Whiskey N Hardtack...

So i used to use a lot of Whiskey N Hardtack stuff and i know the bearded mac took them over but i dont see anything like what Gentlemen's cut was. I recall it being kind of barber shop cologne type and on the medium thickness. Looking for that scent profile. I found it lasted really well also. Any suggestions that would line up?

Is that a "good" thing when a Beard Oil product feels to have evaporated very quickly after applying to your facial skin and beard?

ACNE SAFE PEPPERMINT BASED OIL

Looking for recommendations for an acne safe peppermint based oil

Not too expensive

Id prefer to buy it already made but if you can recommend individual ingredients that I mix Im okay with that as well

I have a weak beard but a good goatee

I grew out the sides wiht minoxidil but honestly once I stopped using it Ive neever had it get back to that point, just very dry and patchy

I need to start working on it again, but without minoxidil since I cant keep using it for maintenance

Best butter to oil %/ratio for a firmer beard butter recipe

Hey everyone - looking to create a beard butter that's a little on the firmer side and less oily (since I already will be using an oil first before applying butter). I'm wondering what the best ratio would be for the butters and oils - I saw another thread where a 65% butter to 35% oil mix seemed about right but would love any additional input. Just want to make sure the butter is still spreadable and can still absorb into the beard. Here's more info on my potential mix:

Butters (likely equal parts): Shea, kokum, mango, sal, and maybe avocado

Oils: Ostrich, argan, jojoba

Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you!

Smokey question

I have bought some beard oils, and I like to try making my own. One beard oil I got a long while ago had a nice smokey campfire scent. I think I lost it in a move and I have been trying to recreate it. It wasn't overpowering smokey, but definitely smelled like a campfire with fresh wood, like pine and cedar. One crazy idea I had was to add a drop of liquid smoke in my recipe. Thoughts or suggestions appreciated.

Organic oils... is there really much benefit?

Hi all, I've been developing my own beard oils and butters for a while and have been seriously giving thought to having a go at making a small business out of it. Exciting times!

I've tried to learn just about everything there is to know about beard/skin care and such products and the ingredients that go into them etc etc, but I do have a question regarding "organic" carrier and essential oils... are they actually worth the extra money or is it like 99% a marketing gimmick by including them?

From what I've researched it seems that the whole "organic" thing in general can be quite misleading at times (though obviously not always!), so it just makes me wonder what it is I and my customers would actually be getting for those extra few pounds/dollars eating into the margins? Are they purer/less contaminants? Do "regular" carriers/E.O.s have enough contaminants to really be worried about?

When it comes to organic food I can see the argument for the lack of chemical pesticides and such, but for a cold pressed oil, surely it's pretty pure already??

Sorry for the ramble 😅 advice appreciated! ✌️

Beard oil recommendation

Hi everyone I'm looking for a beard oil as a gift for my partner. So, he's recently bought an oil, but he didn't really like the smell of it (cypruss and something). I asked him what smell would be perfect, and he said he'd like something "fruity, but not too sweet, a bit grapefruitish". Can you help me with this? What would you recommend? I know nothing about beards, so I don't even know what to look for exactly to not buy some rubbish. I guess it might be important: I live in Europe, Poland (so no only-available-in-US stuff, please ;) )

Oil to prevent beard rash

My boyfriend has a short beard and I get a rash around my chin, neck, and chest after we get intimate. I know it’s from the coarseness of his beard and I already have sensitive skin. What beard oil would you recommend for someone trying to soften their dry, short stubble?
