Beard oil question

Anyone had experience with oils irritating skin? I've tried a few and I turn very red. So if anyone knows an option that might be better for my skin. Besides being red on contact instantly, I've enjoyed not being dry and itchy . Thank you in advance.

I’m half way there again. Thoughts? I’ve only grown it out once or twice (novice)

45 days progress

This is exactly 45 days since the last time I went to the barber and trimmed my beard completely down to a 3. My goal is to get to 90 days before shaping and lining it up. What do you guys think so far?

Thank God I didn't listen to the haters on my beard

My cheeks now connect to my mustache and my chin is filling in as well so glad I ignored the haters especially when all I was trying to do is get advice on beard products not shaving advice

DIY Beard Oil

Short time stalker here and already want to start making my own beard oil after getting more serious about taking care of my beard (after having one for 4yrs now). My idea for a mix is Jojoba, Castor, Argan, Peppermint, Cedarwood. I have a darker red beard and a dry chin for some context. If anyone has some tips for concentrations of each in a recipe that’d be a huge help. Also where you’d go about getting these types of oils.

Do any of you use regular hair products for your beard, instead of "beard specific" products? i.e. Oil, conditioner, wax, etc.

I don't really like the fact that most beard products all have the lumberjack vibe to them and the scent associated with the product is usually something very musky (bourbon, cigar, etc.).

That being said, I was thinking about going with just regular hair products to apply to my beard, instead of these beard-specific ones. Use something like Garnier leave-in conditioner for example; it's not marketed for a beard but I much prefer the smell of this compared to most beard conditioners or waxes.

Have any of you gone this route? Is it basically the same?

Thanks!
