Beard development from March to May. Decided to trim the goatee. Thanks to all those who replied to my previous post here.

Shave or not ? What can i do with those patchy beard. 

Hello. I was wondering if i had enough coverage and density to let il grow, i only had stubble so i dont know if it will get denser, what do you think ?

To shave or not to shave

I've been shaving myself clean for a couple of years as a late teen with a newly growing beard. I had been advised against using cartridge razors when I first started as they go hard on soft and sensitive skin and toughen up the skin.

Instead I have been using a rotary trimmer to get a clean shave. However, I am prone to have ingrown hair, bumpy skin and irritation from gliding the trimmer too much around certain areas because the trimmer doesn't get all the hair at once. 

Now I am looking into other options like safety or straight edge razors or other options and I need some help from you guys for it. Please suggest ideas and criticisms.

are there ways to alter/change the direction the root of the hair grows? for example it grows directly towards the right but I need the hair to grow directly down.

I’ve tried constant brushing but doesn’t help… maybe is there a method like a certain way to shave that alters its direction growth?

Any potential here?? This is probably 2 or 3 months worth..

Since growing I've only done some trimming on neck ane moustache. My cheeks are my weak point but I'm hoping a another month will fill in a abit, since I'm not looking to have too much of big bushy beard.

9 weeks. Trim, shave or grow?

I've always been determined on growing out a big beard, but the moment it starts looking uneven and not quite right, I get the urge to shave it off. I've tried different styles, but the struggle is real. Let me know what works best and decide which one looks best and if I have the potential to grow a big beard.

What style should I go for?

Just wanted to encourage a lot of the guys on here. I don’t have the thickest beard and I’m still trying to figure everything out but if you let it grow it will look better and better. I’ve had the awkward stages of my beard curling and growing in awkward ways. Brush it often, use oil or balm consistently and it helps a lot. any questions or tips feel free to voice it. And as I look at the last three photos it need to trim the edges a tad.

Thin and patchy Facial hair can still do a beard to be proud of.

So about a month ago I posted on here. Reactions were mixed as I was expecting. I haven't touched a thing and have now got another month down of growth. Around 13 weeks of growth total. My facial hair definitely grows slower than other guys and is there are some very light colour hairs amongst the darker ones. 

I have a bald spot on my right side next to the goatee and lots of areas that are thinner. These photos were with the flash on. I'm planning to give it one more month then probably look at going to a barber to get a trim. It's been difficult to come this far but on the whole it's been not too bad. Just requires a lot of patience. 

Any constructive comments welcome.

Enough to work with? Update one month on

So I usually always keep a clean shave and never let it grow more than 1 week. But this time my barber is telling me I should let it grow instead of shaving it.
Need feedback as im not sure.

Should I shave it all of or have some patience and hope the patches start to fill in, I get my hair is light so it would need to fill in alot more to look substantial. 
I'd say 5% viking 95% homeless at the moment 🤣 could that change with time ? Ty

I let it grew for like 4 weeks and went to the barber to trim, he removed the soul patch cause looked kinda odd, should I just let it grow more or should I keep it like this?

I recently purchased a boar bristle brush after hearing about its benefits for beard care, particularly its ability to distribute natural oils. However, I've noticed that the brush doesn't seem to penetrate my beard effectively; it feels like it's only gliding over the surface due to the dense bristles.

Beard or shave?

I've been watching videos about trimming beard but not many address this problem. I've drawn a line and my beard goes much further than the line, do I just shave off that part or leave it? Is it because my sideburn isn't thick so it looks bad than the average person?

Will it get more dense overtime? Should i trim, or make it shorter?
Potential for a decent full beard confirmed with more time?

Want to do something different, just not sure what. I don't have a strong jaw/chin line, so it has to say relatively long.

First beard!

My bear is kind of curly and causes it to be unruly. I don’t use any bear products as such but comb it everyday. Can y’all suggest me some methods or products to control my beard !
