Palestinian Civil Society Calls for Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions against Israel Until it Complies with International Law and Universal Principles of Human Rights July 9, 2005
- In light of Israel’s persistent violations of international law; and Given that, since 1948, hundreds of UN resolutions have condemned Israel’s colonial and discriminatory policies as illegal and called for immediate, adequate and effective remedies; and
- Given that all forms of international intervention and peace-making have until now failed to convince or force Israel to comply with humanitarian law, to respect fundamental human rights and to end its occupation and oppression of the people of Palestine; and
- In view of the fact that people of conscience in the international community have historically shouldered the moral responsibility to fight injustice, as exemplified in the struggle to abolish apartheid in South Africa through diverse forms of boycott, divestment and sanctions; and
- Inspired by the struggle of South Africans against apartheid and in the spirit of international solidarity, moral consistency and resistance to injustice and oppression;
- We, representatives of Palestinian civil society, call upon international civil society organizations and people of conscience all over the world to impose broad boycotts and implement divestment initiatives against Israel similar to those applied to South Africa in the apartheid era. We appeal to you to pressure your respective states to impose embargoes and sanctions against Israel. We also invite conscientious Israelis to support this Call, for the sake of justice and genuine peace.
- These non-violent punitive measures should be maintained until Israel meets its obligation to recognize the Palestinian people’s inalienable right to self-determination and fully complies with the precepts of international law by:
- 1. Ending its occupation and colonization of all Arab lands and dismantling the Wall
- 2. Recognizing the fundamental rights of the Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel to full equality; and
- 3. Respecting, protecting and promoting the rights of Palestinian refugees to return to their homes and properties as stipulated in UN resolution 194.
We have a zero tolerance policy for trolls
Submissions and comments must meet the stated intention of the subreddit - "to advance, enhance, and help further the goals of the global BDS movement and the academic and cultural boycott of Israel" - or they are subject to removal.
The Moderators reserve the right to ban - at their sole discretion - any account which is not at least 30 days old and has a comment karma level of at least 50. This is intended for use against trolls, not supporters.

Buying Minecraft but it's owned by Microsoft
Hi yall! I had been willing to buy Minecraft for windows for a long time but after seeing it's basically owned by Microsoft I'm canceling the idea but, is there any other store that sells it? Or in a way that would not be count boycott idk. I'm not looking to get an excuse to buy it from them but I'm trying to find an alternative way to get the game and an original account without playing cracked.

IF you have to buy products that contribute to Israel, buy secondhand or used via OfferUp, Facebook Marketplace, eBay, Craigslist, garage sales, etc.
This obviously doesn't work for food, but it'll work for tech and electronics, clothing, furniture, textiles, appliances, etc..
If you can't completely cleanse yourself of Israeli influences, buying used will help you avoid contributing new/more funding, or, at the very least, add another layer of distance between you and that horrid place.

Off topic but this thread makes me almost tear up that there are humans willing to sacrifice little things and comforts to support humanity, It warms my heart to see people ask for healthy suggestions and then others help them find. Humanity is so cute. Why doesn’t everyone have it?
there’s so many people I see who are not okay with genocide but don’t care to boycott cuz to them it doesn’t make a difference.

With Adidas outta the way, I asked them on r/moresneakers subreddit about lesser known sneaker company being originally launched in 1970s or earlier and are BDS safe, the results I got are the following:

If you owned any of these shoes, what are your thoughts on any brands listed not being in the boycott list if you researched further and what do you suggest? My prefered silhouette is 70's to 80's runners/basketball made by a company who launched in 70's or older because I find it anachronistic to wear vintage style shoes if they came out recently. Is it possible to remain compliant with the boycott by buying a used, 30 year old vehicle manufactured by a boycotted company?
I've been interested in buying a cheap used 30 year old Mercedes sedan, however I understand that Mercedes is on the BDS list. Would it be ethical and compliant to own this vehicle since it is used and long unsupported? Any maintenance not done by myself would be done by a family member who is a mechanic so no money would ever go to a Mercedes dealer, and any parts bought would be aftermarket, if OEM parts are unavoidable they'd be purchased used off the Internet or pulled from a junkyard. Is buying a vehicle in this way compliant and ethical?
