I accidentally close and save my file now I can't backward my work. Is there solution for this?
I'm trying to make a sea wave pattern so I cut a circle and reapeted it like this. However the part where the circles meet seems too "straight".
How do I improve it?
I am trying to apply changes to my paragraph style using the "redefine paragrapgh style" option.
The expected behaviour is that if I select a type with a different paragraph style than the selected in the paragraph styles panel, it'd show the plus sign and then when choosing redefine it would change the whole style including the font and apply to any type that had that style applied through the paragraph style window change.
The current result i am getting is that redefining the style using a different style type will not apply the font used in the new style.

So I haven’t been able to find a PicsArt sub active to ask this question so I thought people here would know. Sorry.
How do you draw a straight line in PicsArt? Please don’t downvote me, lol
For context: I am using illustrator to make clothing patterns. A friend graded the pattern into multiple sizes for me and sent it to me as a dxf file. When I open a graded pattern piece (object) in illustrator there are multiple hard anchor points on every line, even curved lines. I am worried that this will be a problem when printing the pattern and that the shape will not be smooth. There are thousands of points over the whole graded pattern that I would have to individually add handles to and then delete, in order to ensure smooth lines. How do I a)Change multiple points at one time to have handles and b) Reduce the number of points without affecting the shape of the line? I’ll be grateful for all suggestions.
Is there a watercolour fill option or a simple version of filling a drawing with watercolour? I see watercolour in the effects and also in the brushes, but it doesn't give the full effect I want it to...
I have a rectangle outside the letter C and on the right hand side the dimension are shown to be 63.5mm x 88.9mm. However, on the tool bar up above the dimension are 63.147mm x 88.547mm?
What's going on?
Good day everyone,
I'm about to absolutly lose it to my Illustrator color profiles...
All the grayscales are always a slightly green and it messed up a bunch of my other files
I tried:
Reset my User preferences
Put back the colors profiles to default
Starting new files
restarting my computer and Illustrator multiples times
Nothing works. If someone is able to help me with this i would Highly appreciate:)
If anyone would like to talk in discord to help me i would appreciate too. (merlin18) thank you!
Update: (it worked)
I had to go in:
windows settings > system > Display > Advance Display > color management
For there for some reason i did not have the same ICC profile that i used to when i bought my laptop. (im not a pro but it worked) Thanks for all the help guys I truly appreciate it.:))))
So I'm trying to print something for a school assignment, the art board is 8 x 6, but the printer is saying that the pdf I sent is only coming up as 4 x 5.625, how can I fix this?
Obviously they should be using the Package function, but I regularly get just lone Illustrator files for rush orders (commercial printing/signage company).
My current solution is to make an export template at the same size/bleeds and place the supplied .AI then export a print PDF. Which feels super hack-y, but it works, and generally much faster than going back to the customer and trying to explain.
I want this to become 5 separate color swatches and shapes that I can move independently. I want it be opaque (no transparency) after using the multiply effect. I'm not sure if this makes sense or not.
Is anyone else having beachball of doom or just outright crash issues with AI lately? I've drawn a line and added an arrow head to it - Illustrator crashes. Then I've tried the roughen effect on a shape and that ball is still spinning! WTF is wrong with AI? So frustrating! Can't do anything?! I'm running a decent Mac. Any suggestions?
I have these rogue, bizarre symbols that have appeared all over a couple of files. When you hover over them, they show as 'anchor'. They're like stray letters, in all sorts of orientations. Some are on the artboards, others not. Weirdest of all, they export on the jpg as well. I've tried every imaginable view or setting change. Any ideas?

i’m using the newest version of illustrator and it keeps saying application not responding everytime i try to do something. i’m on a mac and nothing else is opened and i just restarted my laptop but illustrator just doesn’t want to work . is there anything i can do?
Okay so I don't know why but when I try to select objects it selects anchor points rather than show the bounding box also, I cannot transform or move the objects. Any idea why this might be happening and how I can fix it. Attaching an image for reference.
Your help is much appreciated.
~Thankyou
I am desperately just trying to use Adobe Illustrator, yet nine times out of ten it crashes. If anyone can help me with this they'll be a lifesaver!
Its always upon start-up, after about 10 seconds, the interface will freeze, and the software crashes to desktop. Rarely I can access the software without any issues, but I dont know why.
I have done everything I can possibly think of to fix the issue, including:

I'm at a complete loss. Please help me :(
Hey everyone,
Newbie here.
Can anyone recommend how I can align text/logos on a dieline? I used the measuring tool to measure each side but every time I need to make an adjustment, I need to re-measure.
There must be an easier way to make sure my text is centered.
Thank you!
