Exporting Multitrack?

I’m trying to export a multitrack but they keep exporting as their own individual files. I want one mp3 with all of it together. How do I accomplish this?

Nasal buzzing sound from broken nose

Any ideas on handling a buzzing sound that is the result of a broken nose? It kind of sounds like a phone vibrating on silent. I think I've isolated it to the 2-5kHz range. I've played around with the EQ and spectral repair on RX10 but nothing works. Any suggestions?

How to extend all pauses in audiobook?

Hi! It's hard for me to believe that no plugin can do this :(

I have not so bad pauses in my audiobook but they would benefit greatly if I could automatically increase each of it by 0.5-1.5 seconds. Is there any way to do this? So I could specify that all audio louder -something should be prolonged by this and that length.

Question

It may sound weird but wondering is there anyway to expand my audio. I want to go from 500hz-5000hz to 1-10000hz is there anyway to expand the audio? I’m just messing around with something and removed the top and bottom because it is all fuzz and just want to see if I can then do more to it that way

1.5 download?

Hi there. Big fan, long time user.

I had to rebuild my comp recently and I'm a bit baffed right now, as I can't remember where or how I got Adobe Audition 1.5 so many years back. We're talking 2013.

I'm on Windows 10 yo. Does anyone know where to get it?

Thanks.

How to achieve this effect?

Hello, I was wondering if there was anyone here who would know how to get an audio effect like this or at least similar to this on Adobe Audition?

I was trying to find tutorials already posted online but I couldn’t quite find one that showed anything similar.

I’ll take any recommendations or tutorials, If another Adobe software is better for this type of effect, that works too.

Video Stuttering During Playback

I'm currently working on post sound for a short film, and the video playback is stuttering and stopping at periodic points. I've tried allocating more ram to Audition, as well as clearing the media cache, but nothing seems to be working. Any advice?

I saved my file wrong (multitrack)

Hi, I recorded a multitrack audio file but I saved it as a wav file. Now I'm pretty sure I should have saved it as an sesx file? Of the 2 tracks I only want one, which is tracks 9&10. The weird part is when I open the wav file in audition, I can mute the tracks I don't want, but I still hear both. Then if I mute the one I don't want and also mute the top tracks 1 and 2 where everything is combined, I can see the wav meter moving on the track I want (track 9&10) playing solo, but I can't hear it. Is there a way to export just that track 9, even though I'm in waveform mode, not multitrack mode? When I switch to multitrack mode, everything is on 1 single track because I saved it wrong months ago. So not sure what to do. The voices are overlapping, otherwise I would just edit it manually and remove the parts from the other tracks. Is there any way to just export the sounds on tracks 9/10? Thanks!

How do I stop Audition from making my audio louder?

So I'm new with audition and whenever I upload a file to it it makes the file louder than it should be, but when I export it it goes back to its original volume. This can be frustrating as when I manually increase or decrease its volume in audition to get it just right it will sound completely different when I export it. Any ideas on how I can get audition to keep my files at its original volume the whole time?

Audio ducking (Newbie)

I have a clip of Kylo Ren shouting "MORE" that I want to use in a project, but the only clips I could find all include the movie orchestral soundtrack with horn section holding a long note under his voice. Is there any way to isolate the voice only, or would that be best done in another piece of software?

Help - Unbroken audio recording is cutting out 0.5 seconds or so. Bug? Hardware issue?

Hi folks. I record a lot of podcast and on the last couple of recordings I've had this really annoying issues where my unbroken recording, at a 2 or 3 points across a 60 mins recording or so, it seems to just be cutting out about half a second, so some sentences sound like they have a word edited out or something.

Example: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rtt4xGvVtXGBlFfmvNFMQ1UEAaERFdbD/view?usp=sharing - This audio clip is supposed to say "on tapes from the wastes", but as you'll hear, the 'the' is missing. This is not an edit I made, it's just how it's recorded. The recording never stopped, and the file is unbroken. See screenshots. The waveform does show an anomaly, circled in red oval in screen shot. Same issues in various other spots

screenshot: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sj0_hclVz5LiU1Lvym4zrbGTfrD54gcb/view?usp=sharing

any idea what's going on here? My XLR mic is running through an interface, which is USBd into a laptop. Never seen this in all my many long years of using audition, with this set-up, or any other.

Thanks in advance.

PS - on Mac btw.

Making Mixer controls undoable?

Hi everybody, I'm new to Adobe Audition, but not new to audio production. Loving the program so far, but I can't wrap my head around the choice to note make the track/mixer controls (eg. panning, volume, sfx...) undoable? Is there a way to make it so? Thanks!

Hearing click in the multitrack but nothing after exporting to WAV ?

In the multitrack I hear a click at the crossfade of 2 sections I edited. I tried redoing it over and over and visually it seems perfect, but I can't seem to get rid of the click somehow, it's a mystery to me. The weirdest thing is that when I export it to WAV, the click cannot be heard. I'm thinking it's a playback error in the software ? I should mention it's only happening on THIS particular crossfade, and none of the other fades I have in the track. Is it my fault or the software's fault ?

Extend/Shorten length of all selected clips in Multitrackview?

Hey there, with the help of 'Delete/Strip Silence', sometimes the auto-detection cuts of just enough of the end of a clip that you have to manually adjust the length.

Is there a way in Audition to select all clips and extend them for a few ms? Same as in Ableton Live, where you select all clips and can just shorten/lengthen them via mouse.

I want my audio to sound like it's in someone's head - Beginner

Hello,

Novice user of Audition here. I would like my audio to sound like an inner monologue. Are there any effects more experienced users can recommend.

Hoping for it to sound like the narration from TV Series like The Handmaid's Tale and Black-ish.

The Handmaid's Tale: https://youtu.be/EJw7T5PGsgI?feature=shared&t=75 (June/Offred starts narrating at 1:15)

Black-ish: https://youtu.be/BJMlax1cuTA?feature=shared (When Dre starts talking about colorism)

Speed automation on clip ?

Is there a way to use clip speed automation while keeping pitch the same ? Not changing the speed of the full clip in a linear manner, but being able to edit the speed of different parts of the clip. I want to be able to change the clip speed at will, the same way I can control volume automation. Is that possible ?

How to make a voice recording sound deep powerful?

This is my first Audition project but pretty familiar with other Adobe programs.

I have to record my voice reading lines and edit it to sound like an over the top deep voiced supervillain. It’s for a 3D animated video game character that’s really huge and powerful.

Obviously I’ll do things like add bass and lower the pitch. But what other effects and things would you recommend for something like this?

Complete beginner...levelling audio track volumes without ruining shouts/whispers

As the title suggests I installed Audition all of yesterday and could do with the "Just do this dummy" sort of help.

I'm a video editor and my client clearly recorded each takes at different times of day, different environments, lights on in one take and curtains open in another.

As a result we have some voice tracks louder then others. Now while I'm familiar with just normalizing everything to one volume I found that to be an issue when it comes to purposefully louder or quieter sections.

At times in this audio track there is intentional shouting and whispering and obviously just ctrl+a and normalizing ruins the shouting and makes the quieter "Away from the mic" way louder then it should be.

Is there an easy way to go about adequately levelling all this? Or do I need to put my foot down and tell the client this should have all been considered from the start?

All help appreciated.

Doubled Audio. Any help appreciated.

Long story short. Me and a couple of friends recorded a podcast. 4 of the mics had crazy echo. I've tried looking around for any (free) fix that could help. Whether its an adobe premiere or audition trick, or something related to AI, I am open to all suggestions.

Setting Up Template / Automation for Productions

Greetings all

I’m coming from reaper where I spent 6 months learning how to use a DAW. I have a goal to create a “production template” for my projects. Trying to reduce the time it takes to do repetitive work. I currently have:

  1. A multi person podcast - This is recorded on my Mackie DLZ Creator with a Procaster Dynamic Mic. The room is lightly treated and I do not apply any processing to the saved files.

  2. A solo narration style podcast - This is also recorded on my Mackie DLZ Creator with a NT1 Signature. The room is lightly treated and I do not apply any processing to the saved files.

  3. YouTube Video Voice Over - Still working on the workflow for these projects. Currently these are recorded in OBS using my Focusrite Vocaster One with a Podmic. This is at my home office desk next to a window with hard surfaces everywhere. I use processing in the Vocaster to enhance my voice.

Question is can I dial in my settings, process chains to create templates for each? Ideally I’d like to drop my audio into Audition and have 80% of my processing work done for those environments and mics. Is it doable? Also can I have a set template for my output settings so all these meet BBC Radio standards?

What's the "correct" way to export a project for maximum quality ?

I have 4 classical tracks, some volume automation going on, some mastering plugins on the master bus.

Usually I just do the following method : Export -> The whole multitrack session -> I get a wav file.

But apparently this is not the cleanest way to do it, and you might not have exactly the right volumes that you set in your multitrack and also a loss of quality for some reason ?

What's the correct way to do it ?

I worked on my multitrack project starting at 1 minute, how to set it to start at 0 ?

I have worked on 2 mono tracks (so a stereo track in the end), and I have set a lot of keyframes for volume envelopes in the mixing track.

However everything is starting at 1 minute, and when I want to export it to wav, it then has 1 minute of silence before it starts.

Is there a way to place everything so that it starts at 0 min, including the volume automation keyframes ?
