How would you procede in restoring audio from this video or where I can learn how to do it? I'm a beginner and I'd need to improve audio as much as I could.
Does anyone have a plugin recommendation for Audition to easily tweak the age of a character from an audio file (can't use real-time products in this workflow)? I thought I could get Accusonus Voice Changer, but I guess that's not available any more. Any ideas?
Hi, I have a recording where the speakers are talking very quietly, but sometimes laugh loudly. So, if I raise the gain enough for it to be audible, certain sections will be far too loud. Is there a function that equalizes the volume but allows me to raise it as well?
So they have a fish bowl like effect that I wanna know how to replicate. I've looked up tutorials, and played around with effects.
Here is what it sounds like: https://youtu.be/HcVGTRnXoVs?feature=shared
Having a weird thing happen. Recently my band played a show with multiple cameras and multiple audio captures. As I was playing I didn't get the chance to see what devices or software the "main" audio guy used but when I got his files they were .WAV files. The other sources (camera audio) were .wav files. Opening the .WAV files in Audition you see a single file with 24 tracks of audio. If you load it into a multitrack timeline you get a single track with 24 tracks. You can actually see 24 stripes in the single track. Ironically, when I open them in Premiere, double click and open them in the source monitor, same thing, a single track with 24 stripes. BUT, when I drag them to a timeline it separates them out into 24 individual tracks. Kind of a nightmare to use Premiere this way as opposed you, you know, the ACTUAL Audio editing software. Any idea how to un-nest these files? Thanks
I have an old ses file that I would like to work on for Remembrance Day, does anyone know a way to convert it apart from the $50 converter on the adobe site?
Many thanks in advance
all of my input output options are gone in this view mode, i want it back. i know it can be edited in mixer mode but i want to fix this in this view mode, is it possible?
I'm a PC user and new to Audition and I'm having an issue where if I select a new waveform project and make sure the audio hardware is correct, I start recording on waveform and there's nothing being picked up. However, if I move to multitrack I can record fine.
Any ideas what's going on?
I'm a beginner at audition, and I wanted to know which effect or effects could I use to make a bark sound more monster like
What am I missing?
When I'm recording an audiobook, I may read several paragraphs before I make a mistake. I've been pressing the spacebar to stop recording once I make a mistake. When I activate punch and roll, it goes all the way back to the beginning of the clip and then does the pre-roll and then starts recording again. The problem is, I only want to re-record the previous sentence, not the several paragraphs that included no mistakes.
AND...
Once I do re-record, it will only record the length of the clip, and then it stops recording. Is there a way to set up punch and roll so that it doesn't stop recording until I tell it to stop... so that once it does reach the end of the clip, it will just keep on recording?
I work as a college music professor and am primarily recording live, acoustic concerts. We've been encouraged to use Adobe Audition because of having Creative Cloud access, but I'm frustrated with how normalizing works, especially with multiple files and multiple tracks.
We use Zoom recorders that split recordings into multiple files onto an SD card. When I load multiple files into the track, Match Clip Loudness will treat them as individual clips and adjust gain separately. Ideally, they should be adjusted together so that there's not a bump midway through. Is there a way to get around this?
I could merge those clips, but there's also a philosophy that one would normalize all tracks by the same amount in order to keep your relative volume the same. For example, I have a stereo pair and a pair of outriggers- I would want to normalize all of those by the same amount, or at least each pair by the same amount so that the stereo field is not artificially affected. Normalizing has been my biggest frustration in Audition.
Hey guys. I'm having an issue with exporting an OMF from my multitrack project. It exports ll the clips but when it's time to create the OMF file the error message pops up. I have tried closing unused media but that didn't solve it. Any other ideas?
Hi everyone. I've been using Audition to edit podcasts for quite a while and it really serves me well. However, I would like to hear from those of you who have used AU and other softwares. Which features do you find in other DAWs that Audition lacks? It doesn't need to be something super fancy, maybe someghting related to interface management or appearence that you find more helpful in another software.
From my part, Hindenburg's text-based edit impressed me, even though I have only seen videos, never used it myself.
I'd say that I also miss a native transcription tool in AU - as Adobe Premiere Pro already has - even if it does not allow the user to edit the audio based on the text.
Anyway, glad to hear your thoughts on this issue
As the title says, I'm having an issue where one track will export at a much lower volume than it was at while editing. I am using waverider and targeting -16db. The waverider settings in tracks 1 and 2 are the same, but 1 comes out perfectly (maybe even a little loud) and 2 comes out considerably quieter. Here is how it displays in DropBox when uploaded for my client.
Hi everyone,
My dad recently upgraded from an old Yamaha mixer to a Behringer 802s to record karaoke songs at home using Adobe Audition. Here’s how we have things set up:
With the Yamaha mixer, this worked perfectly, Track 1 only had the karaoke, and Track 2 only had his voice, without any bleed from the karaoke audio. However, with the new Behringer 802s, Track 2 is also faintly picking up the karaoke along with his vocals, even though he’s wearing noise-canceling headphones and sitting far from the mic.
I tried one thing that seemed to work: I plugged his headphones into my PC’s headphone jack instead of through the mixer. This fixed the bleed issue, but now he can’t control the volume on his headphones directly.
Does anyone know what settings I could adjust on the Behringer mixer or in Adobe Audition to fix this? Would appreciate any tips to get Track 2 to record only his vocals without any karaoke bleed, ideally without losing control over his headphone volume.
Thanks for any help!
The narrator of the Dune filmbooks is voiced by Joe Walker and can be found in a couple scenes from Dune Part One (2021) and in some of the promotional material that Warner Bros. put out as part of their marketing campaign for Dune Part Two (2024).
I'm new to Audition but I am interested in recreating this voice effect exactly. Here's a link to a couple of the Dune filmbooks:

I just wanted to know is it possible to remove Perticular sound like Ahhh / Hmmm that appears so many time in single audio file is there any possible way of Removing them at once pls help me with this
I have a host who holds their mic and moves it all over while recording, which causes some pretty wide volume fluctuations. The other host is pretty steady and with loudness set to -18Db you can hear everything pretty well, even the quiet parts, but outside of manually turning up the quieter part, are there any tricks to get this track playing at the same levels throughout?
Hi, I'm currently taking a Udemy Adobe Audition course for beginners (basically I have zero knowledge about this software). As I follow along, I experience some difficulty with the editing tools. They are greyed out (See image for reference). I checked the tools menu and "Time Selection" is the only thing available. I also tried using the shortcut keys and they didn't work at all.
Not sure if there's beginner mistakes that I did. But the only I thing I have done so far is File > Open > Selected the Audio File I'm about to edit. I'm trying to use "Razor" at this point.
Hopefully someone can point me to the right direction. Thanks!
Hey all. I've been using Audition for years, to the point where I've gotten so used to my current settings that I've encountered a problem.
I got a new laptop and slapped Audition on there as well, and for whatever reason, the default export format is stereo. I want this to be mono. I cannot for the life of me remember what I did to set it as the default on my old laptop. Having to manually switch the export settings to mono every time I export a single small file (I do VO specifically) is a huge pain, and I'd love to get it sorted.
Thanks!
Whenever i select a clip i want to split, i cant use the razor tool and it is greyed, does anyone know what to do
Hello hivemind, I am losing my little mind over this. I am editing a podcast and setting markers down in multitrack to keep track segment lengths and every time I save (with the include markers and metadata ticked) and reopen they have disappeared after a certain point. Everything else about the save works fine.
It always keeps the first 9 markers and junks the rest.
Not placing them on a certain track (so clicking off track to place)
Check box is checked.
Happens on save and save as.
Keeps edits done to tracks so its saving.
I'm hoping there is something else I can try before I have to junk my preferences, any thoughts?
I was interviewing someone on Zoom and recorded the audio separately into Audition, and a lot of the times that my guest would speak, it was giving off a sound that sounded almost like wind everytime he would talk, but only then - if he was silent, there was no background noise and I tried noise reduction (full transparency I'm an audition amateur) but to my knowledge, noise reduction doesn't really help since it's only when he was speaking.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
While recording audio Audition stuttered like crazy during recording and wasn’t recording at the same speed we were talking. Also every time we ended a clip it would compress it to less than a second and turn it into a wav file.. Even after deleting and reinstalling Audition it’s still having this same issue. Does anyone know what’s going on?
