A place to discuss logos and their design. Please read the rules of this sub before posting.
Design is solving a problem, and in order to give correct critique, we'll need to know what the logo is supposed to accomplish. Don't include specific client contact info, just put some direction the client has included in the brief. If they don't give you any information, you shouldn't be creating a logo for them.

Hi guys, I really need your help with this survey, it's for my thesis, it should take around 2-3 minutes. It's about perception of minimalism in hotel brands. Your help is really appreciated <3
I made this logo for my crochet account. It’s meant to be for my instagram account. I would highly appreciate feedback and opinions from people!
Hey!
I just developed this idea for the logo.
Wood for Youth is an EU-funded project that aims to create an interactive online program to raise and upskill youngsters' competitiveness in the woodhouse industry.
I really like the concept and idea behind the "for" part being as 4 which also reminds me of the wooden construction / geometric design draftin
However, my eyes tell me that in smaller logo versions the "4" part has poor visibility.
Do you have any ideas on how I could solve this/improve visibility while keeping the same concept? Or I should just straight create something different for smaller logo versions?
For confidential reasons I cannot unveil the name of the company, but it is made of two words, being the initials C and L. As stated, it is thought for a law firm. I was squishing my brain trying to find the most original logo of all time, when I realised that most of the bigger firms in the world keep it real easy and simple. That's why I went for this design. Client would want circle shape no matter what, so I worked around that. Wordmark will have the same thickness as the logo you see here, so in that sense it will flow.
I know it's super simple, but I wanna make sure it works for a law context for any of you.

Hey guys. I'm making shirts for my hockey team, but lost the vectorized file that contains the logo. My friend will be vecotorizing the file, but he needs this https://ibb.co/0sD9Lb7 lion/panther image to fully vectorize it, but he can't find it. Can someone help me find that online?
If say a client rejects all the intials ideas and decides they do not want to move forward with the job, but I have taken 50% of the payment upfront. In such a scenario how much money should the client be refunded?
Hello everybody!
I work in a film company and my boss has asked me to find new ideas for our title rolling credits + logo design. We're looking for something related to the "eclecticism" art, and example of this would be the LOKI tv series logo and the perfect example it's title sequence where the letters change the typos right up to the final one.
So my request here is to ask all you design geniuses and wizards if you know other examples (preferably that already have an animation or from other film companies -not Marvel Studios one) that I can show to him so we can come up with our own concept with the designer.
Thank you!
My boss' thoughts:
I was thinking of designing a logo (for a website, business card, etc.) - in this logo, we could keep the red as a link with our previous logos.
For the little animation (which we'd place at the opening of our films), I'd start with the logo and the chosen typeface, but with the letters initially in different colors, with color changes, something quite beautiful and cheerful, very visual in the color changes (to symbolize "the eclecticism of our film choices")...
Finally, we ended up with a homogeneous typeface (white on a black background, or black on a white background), with a few letters in red. In other words, the letters in different colors will become a single logo.
The whole process should take no more than a handful of seconds.
Author's note: I'm not looking for any of you guys to create this logo, just if you know similar examples to the Loki one :)
This is the logo of a non-governmental organization that works in the field of adolescent education and ancient archaeology
Had a really incredible response to my last post on how much we (my studio) charge and deliver to a client. Just over a 100 of you here had something to say, many of which was beneficial, and about 80% of it echoed the same thing. So I thought I would offer an alternative view in a way that will hopefully bring some illumination. I studied architecture, not graphic design or logo development. Over the years (15 in this industry) I have tried my hand at a number of things that have worked and failed, but I find that the graphic design industry has become increasingly stingy, if not lazy. This isn't meant to be a meta perspective of the industry, but someone from the outside looking in. For us, having great success has come from allowing the client to be as much a part of our design process, as we are. In our shop we use the "Pizza shop analogy" quite often. A client walks in, tells us what they want, and we make it to the best of our ability so that they can enjoy it to the best of theirs. Of course we can guide them and say apples and sardines might not be great toppings, but at the end of the day they are taking that pizza (brand) to their customers. Market research, no matter how many hours you spend on it, will always be in the favour of the client. Dont be disillusioned by corporations, this is very much the never-ending age of small business doing it's best to fill gaps in the market or innovate, and we as designers get the cool opportunity of helping them reach that goal, by many means necessary.
All this to say: there is no one right way to build a pizza. Sure there might be a process that is more popular, accepted, heck - even more efficient. But at the end of the day, your process is yours and it should be something you enjoy and not just reverberate. Make the money, have fun doing it, and do a damn good job.
Some designers I know have one project a year closer to a quarter million in cost, others have hundreds of projects at a few hundred dollars each. Their processes are very different, but they're absolute powerhouses in the world of design. Whatever you do, create a beautiful end product that is useful.
Thanks for all the discussion y'all! (edit: sp)
A designer made me this design for a Real Estate team logo. It's going to have a text underneath that means roughly "Real Estate Team". The word "Foco" means focus.
It's supposed to remind of a perspective view of a house.
The main agency's colour is yellow (don't like it) so I thought doing in a gold gradient, but it doesn't necessarily have to be.
Would love your opinion in which colour would you choose and if there is anything that I could improve or change. All of them will have the same saying underneath.
Thank you.

Hey guys, I'm just a normal 16 year old with aspirations to make in into the graphic design industry. I got asked by the owner of a Discord server I'm in to make a logo. The server is called Midnight (hence the moon and symbols of racing related stuff) and it's a racing and community based server. I'm doing this for free as well since it's almost the end of the school year for me and thus easier for me to make the logos.
I just need feedback on these 4 logos (I know I just made 2 logos with the other 2 being variations) and which one to use or anything else. This is just a simple draft and it's not the final logo. Any help is highly encouraged as it's my first time to make logos. Thanks guys! <3
Note: I showed the logos so far to the owner and he likes the 1st logo. But any suggestions are open like I said :))
I have come across many logos that seem to have similar styles. The only two examples I can come up with are the 1905 Yankee's logo (Interlocked Blue NY letters) and the 1920 Athletics logo (Blue Elephant). There is something about them that interests me. They both seem crude, not very clean, stamp like, non-straight lines, almost like a crappy hand drawn logo by a kid. I have seen other logos in the style, they all seem to be old. Does anyone know the details/insight of this style or have other examples?
