Hello! Do you know what is this transition used and where can I find the exact same? I love the speed and I think is super clean. Is from minute 6:09 to 6:15 (the double swoosh to right)
I'm having a bit of a headache here.
My transcript is already formatted exactly how I wanted it, with line breaks where appropriate.
The only way to get a YouTube-compatible format is to then convert it to captions and export as .SRT
But when I convert it to captions, it splits/rejoins sentences in ways that I didn't want it to.
Expected/input:
What it outputs:
the headrests work.
Sure, I could go back through and split/join it all AGAIN, but I'd rather not go through and rework 30 minutes of dialog.
Is there any way to force Premiere to not make its own assumptions about how the transcript should be captionized? Or a third-party program that can take the text/csv Transcript and convert it to SRT?
I have a budget of 800 dollars , what should I prefer either buying a Mac mini m4 or should build a pc , for video editing
I have a ton of separate clips added to a sequence. I then use that sequence as the source for text-editing, pasting the selections I want into the destination sequence.
Unfortunately, I’ve noticed some gaps between the clips in the source sequence. I’d like to remove these gaps, but when I do, the content in the destination sequence changes (I assume because referenced timestamps are no longer correct.
Is there any way to solve for this, or do I just need to leave the gaps in place, to keep timestamps for text-edit pasted clips correct?
Getting into editing and trying to find people to do editing for, for free. Yet I am having trouble with people even responding to me.
Does anyone have any methods that’s worked for them for getting work when they first started?
Hey all! Looking to make some upgrades to my pc with an editing-first mindset. Any thoughts on where I can see the most performance improvement?
Current specs:
Motherboard: ASRock A320M/ac
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x
RAM: 32 GB
Graphics card: GTX 1660
Internal drive: 2TB SSD
Storage drive: 500 GB SSD
Thanks for any and all help
Hi all,
Hopefully this is an easy one.
EDIT: This one has been solve, quickly and swiftly. It was simply an accidental "space" in the search bar. 🤦♂️
I've been captioning a video. And suddenly, all of the spaces in my caption window have been "highlighted." Like this:
I'm certain I accidentally hit some kind of hotkey, as we all do from time to time. Does anyone recognize this, or know how to turn it off? (Bonus points for knowing which hotkey I hit by mistake!)
Doesn't really impede my workflow, but I'd love to get it looking like it did before.
Thanks!
For a recent documentary style project I’m working on, I filmed some footage on a 2000’s camcorder and some on iPhone. Is there a way to filter match the quality so the phone looks more like the camcorder? Also camcorder audio filters for the iPhone footage would be helpful as well.
The ones I found work from photo to photo, but I need one that works from video to video.
Adobe’s is not bad, but I’m looking for something better. If there’s a good plugin for Adobe, that would work too.
I have a youtube video capture that I want to put over a scrolling dark grid as a background. I want to somehow combine the interface look with the moving grid still being visible. The post draft shows me that it might be an obsolete effect but i wouldn't know exactly which one it is. Any help?
This is an example of how I want it to look, except for the interface on light mode:
Can I use GPU-demanding filters in Premiere 2025 with the Huawei MateBook D16? When I change the project settings to Engine GPU, I can apply these effects to the timeline and see them working, but after rendering, there are usually glitches in the video. I noticed that I can add the effects, then do Render In to Out, switch back to Software, save the file, and then everything works fine. Can someone explain this to me in simple terms? :)
Is there any presets or templates available for SPEED RAMP for Premiere pro....I need to create a speed ramp transition and apply it to all the layers....but my speed ramp is not properly done ...its not smooth....Need help
i just put hours of work into a youtube video and now it’s completely gone. every few minutes i pressed ctrl s to save and it said it was saving but kept giving me the warning “the project file has been modified since last save” which i just brushed off because i thought yeah obviously that’s why im saving it lol but now i just went to reopen it and its a save from when i first started working on it. i just spent my whole night on this video and now only the first 1:30 minutes are saved. is there anyway to get this back? i have the auto save in my folder and it says it’s from 11:28 pm which is when i stopped working on it but it just opens up to a really old save.
Hey everyone! I love premeire pro and I would like to think that ive utilized it to my best ability.
However the biggest issue that I have not overcome is that I have no idea how to use after effects. Because of this im missing out on a lot of great features one specifically being Rotoscoping
Does anyone know an alternative for rotoscoping on Premiere?
As well.. is it worth trying to learn after effects if im sure i wont use it that often? thanks!
By now we all know that text controls have moved from the defunct essential graphics panel to the new, albiet hidden by default, Properties panel. And yet there I was in Properties, unable to simply save a text style, something I do in almost every project. IRRC you would click above or next to your font / size / format selections to "Save Style" or "Create Master Style" or something like that. Where did it go?
I couldn't find any answers online, just posts (and AI bot pop-ups) about the new Properties panel. Finally, I scrolled way down and saw a section called "Linked Style." Linked? Immediately sounds like a headache, but I poked around . . . and long story short:
"Linked Style" is the new "Save Style" aka "Master Style."
And it's way at the bottom of the Properties panel. Nowhere near the actual parameters for the style you wish to save . I mean link.
You click the plus sign next to "link" to save the current text style selected (although you'll have to scroll back up to see what this is).
Hope this helps someone!
Hello, I'm new to Premiere pro. I want to use "keyframes" the opacity to make a certain object light up. I cannot afford the premiere pro on my PC, so unfortunately, I'm stuck using the mobile port on the iPhone. I'm guessing that you cannot use Keyframes, but what's something similar to that you can make light up?
How do I make difference text coloured? Something like this ^
There is green and purple added to it.
When I was editing my video, I tried playing around with the colours, but they ended up either blending or giving a very bad tone to the video.
I am making a parody of the Hunger Games Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes for a project. I have recorded a new line to replace the following clip from the original. The audio I recorded sounds is of normal volume and not rapsy. It is deep but not like the original. What effects or methods could I use to achieve a sound similar to the original with what I have?

I restored all files using recycle bin and it seems maybe windows got confused but now that one whole folder is gone containing files and a project I had been working for please help if possible
I shot everything in HDR, the compression feels terrible for editing, colors feel off and the auto white balance kept changing automatically. I've intepreted the footage and changed sequence settings and colors got a bit better, but just the fact I have to manually color code every single footage with the playback running slower than anything I ever tried before makes me want to avoid this at all costs for the next time.
I have been reading and watching videos about it, but I don't think there's a consensus about what's the right setting. I read about changing things to ProRes, using log and locking the white balance.
I don't have the iPhone, it's the business' guy who hired me (a friend) that has it, so I can't really experiment with it before it's go time, that's why I want to know what are the best settings for editing with Premiere, taking into consideration the fact his storage is probably limited, since it's his own personal phone.
The business is a local pizza shop, the camera is an iPhone 15 Pro Max and we have 2 studio lights.
Here's an example of colors looking off:
Hey you guys! I’ve tried downloading both plugins (insta360 reframe & GoPro reframe) into Premiere Pro and using proxies BUT it’s so slow when it comes to adjusting what I want in frame! Compared to the Insta360 Studio, it makes premiere look like dog water.. What do you think the best way to edit 360 camera footage is while maintaining its quality and integrating it into premiere pros or after effects work space?
Should I just use Insta360 and export at its highest setting (I think is H.265)
I don’t have a budget to upgrade my work flow (MacBook Pro 32 GB 2667 MHz DDR4) what should the best way to go about this?
Please help & excuse me in advance if I seem like a rookie this is my first Reddit post for help/advice.

What are the coolest transitions, edits and effects you've been seeing recently. Just trying to get creative people sharing fun ideas. I'm feeling creatively stuck these days and would love to hear some cool ideas from people in this group!
Does anyone know how to get zoom-ins to look this good? I do it and it is always pixelated. WHEN YOU DRAW 2 EVENLY MATCH GOING SECOND VS A 20 MIN COMBO FLOODGATE BOARD
I thought I could just do it in one sitting.
The worse, or maybe good? Of it is realizing I could do this segment better or make it shorter or this and that. Honestly, the first draft of it should have been completed under 1 week. But had to rewrite its own script, decided to thankfully get a voiceover, AI actually helped here.
The most horrible feeling is sitting on it for days and not feeling like you did any big leaps of progress. It sucks and for what, 10 minutes??
Could have done it in 1 week but had to had to make a script, add more better ideas, got it as good as I can get it. It's like art though, it only gets better the more you know I guess??
I don't make media videos, so this was a first. What could have helped were bigger screens, familiarity with shortcuts, and atleast 2 or so weeks of script building and storyboarding plus obtaining any necessary stock media for use, oh and a second pair of eyes for thoughts and opinions or even help.
All because I didn't get my friend to talk to the camera for 10 minutes. Had to expand more... Is it always like this???
AI certainly helped cut corners while maintaining some sort of quality but it can end up like how most publish and churn videos out there all sounding robotic.

A2 missing V2 counterpart
SOLUTION:
1. Select A2 clip in timeline
2. Press 'F' (Match Frame) to open source monitor (loads source video based on A2 in/out)
3. Drag and drop video from source monitor window into timeline
