So I noticed a few of my shows were not updating their metadata and when I forced a refresh in trakt it crashes the add-on. I honestly don't have the ability to pinpoint it and was wondering if others are also having this issue. As far as it goes it leaves no event logs behind it just bugs out the add-on. Everything is up to date I did a fresh install and it still causes the crash. Honestly I'm just hoping to bring attention to it in hopes of someone finding out what's going on.

I currently have nimbus + Fen light and have about 10 widgets set up.

Almost everytime I open Kodi (using firestick 4K max and Firecube 3rd gen) my widgets start loading and then it crashes randomly before they all get loaded. I then have to navigate and use the "clean databases" tool and everything works.

Is there something wrong with my widgets? I'm using a lot of user Trakt lists.

I never really had this problem with Fen + AH2 but I made the switch to nimbus a few months ago.

Also I noticed a lot of Trakt lists don't actually get updated unless i manually delete trakt cache.

Hopefully someone can help cause even though I've been using Kodi for over a year now, I'm a bit lost when it comes to this stuff

I’m experiencing massive stuttering with video playback, and when I checked the log files, I noticed a common factor: every time there’s stuttering, I find the following lines in the log just before the stuttering starts:

info : [plugin.video.themoviedb.helper] ReSync last_activities

What does this do, and is there a setting to disable this syncing? I’m not saying this is necessarily the cause of the stuttering, but I’m trying to rule out all possibilities one by one.

I keep getting this error when trying to install the otaku addon. I‘m on kodi 19.4. Already tried deleting the cache.

Anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it it?

Not having a lot of luck using Fen lite and umbrella of recent due to the known error of no streams found. I have no such issue using Seren Omega. I was just wondering what other add-ons use A4K scrapers and that are regularly updated as would like to try out other options.

Not giving up on Fen or Umbrella, just taking time out until the RD issue is finally fixed.

I've been using Fen Light add-on with AH2 skin for a while now and I was able to get the ratings for kodi, trakt and tmdb. How do I get the ratings for m (i don't even know what this one stands for), rotten tomatoes, popcorn and imdb? Thank you.

Update: despite all the tries with the omdb api key I was unable to get those missing ratings populated. However I was able to solve this using mdblist api key that I also had apparently. Added it in tmdb helper and got rotten tomatoes and imdb ratings. Still no metacritics rating, though. Thanks all.

Just wondering if this thing works at all. I searched both this subreddit and that for Zoneminder, and there's nothing recent mentioning it. I don't want to waste too much time if it's just broken, so it would be helpful to know if it is working for someone out there. I know my Zoneminder set up is working on some level, meaning I can log in through the web interface to my home server and see all my cameras. I have two login ids, the admin and a montage simple user. When trying to use the Kodi add-on from the official repository, I get an authentification failed message, so it seems to be communicating, but I can't log in with either of my accounts: neither admin nor simple user. I'm not a power user on Kodi nor on Zoneminder, so I don't think I've changed the Zoneminder authentication settings from whatever the default is, and there doesn't appear to be anything to change on the Kodi side. Tried changing a few of the Kodi directory settings, but that made it worse (404 page not found message). Anyway, like I said, I suspect that it may not work at all, since everything about it seems a few years old, so just wondering if anyone has it going on Omega. Thanks.

My daughter is going through a powerpuff girls phase, I have kodi set to 'play next episodes automatically'.

The problem is, the videos for season 3 onwards are wrong and seem to be in wrong order/place and the very top video on episodes scraped by realdebrid are old season 1/2.

If you look at the image I uploaded. I have to choose the second video each time manually to get actual episode.

How can I report it for being incorrect? Or is there a way to automatically play the second result from each episode instead?

I hope I worded it correctly, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I use a firestick HD with kodi 21. I have the umbrella app with the trakt and real debrid added and authorized, but when I try to open the umbrella app it closes again. any help appreciated

So tried to watch the last 2 episodes of Agatha All Along and i am not getting any streams on Umbrella. Whenever i tried to load the episode and it goes through the process it states “no streams available”

The show originally aired yesterday, Oct. 30th, so it should have been available today but nothing.

I have Umbrella up to date and Real Debrid active.

Not sure if it matters but i am on an NVidia Shied 2019.

Any suggestions?

Hi, as above, this add-on works great with real debris but with some shows and movies this happen, is there a fix?

Dug thro the options but didn’t find. On widgets, Seems it defaults to just showing episode counts for in progress shows.

TMDB gives the option to show for all, but I can’t seem to find for FenLight. It’s an option?

I've upgraded to the latest Kodi (2.1.1.0) on my Fire Stick, installed umbrella and cocoscraper several times and each time when it is time to add coco scraper, to the Settings:, I select the tools option in umbrella, but where there should be several settings options (eg SETTINGS:Providers), there are none. There must be an option that I'm missing. Any ideas?

Before everyone says that you'll advertise you are watching pirated content I'd like to have some technical people to chime in.

Netflix watch party is when you watch shows with friends or family. I've used sites that sync people up.
I forgot the name of the site but you grab m3u8 files from online pirate sites, you put that into the site and it will load the file on both devices and one person can control the position. this is obviously using someone else's server right?

I'm really talking from ignorance but say you have two people about to watch a movie, we both agree on which one, we all load the movie and pause, one person will take remote. so they upload the movie position, say every 500 ms to the other person.
the other device just makes sure it plays that position no matter what the file is.
the only data that is sent is movie position. nothing about what the content is or where you got it from.

Any software Engineers / Developers can tell me this is complete rubbish and doesn't work like that.

Is their a way someone has thought of that we can sync without any extra hardware and all code and be safe that we won't get caught. Seems like such a big waste. Imagine as a community we have movie nights. we all agree on which movie and one person takes remote.

Hi, does anyone know how I would go about using the nimbus skin, but adding the OSD from Bingie Mod into it? I understand this may involve changing some code and files, etc, but I don't know how much of an undertaking it would be. I like the speed of nimbus, but the OSD in Bingie mod is far better for my taste. I don't like that things continue to play in the background after I have left the movie I am on, and I don't like that I have to set a hotkey for subtitle settings. I just want to be able to adjust those setting easily within the OSD navigating how most work, change audio track, etc. too. Bingie mod does this perfectly for my purposes.

Any guidance would be great, and let me know if there's a better way to achieve this than what I'm trying to do.

Long time Kodi user. I'm currently running 21.1 and on both an Nvidia shield pro and windows laptop, the subtitles no longer play automatically. I do have it set up to use a4ksubtitles via system->player->subtitles for both movies and shows and to use forced subtitles. I have opensubtitles login and subdl API key saved.

Yet recently, no matter what addon I use, the subtitles do not play unless I manually select them. Setting it to automatically search doesn't work. Even if it shows that subtitles are selected, nothing happens unless I manually click them now. This is a fairly new development and even trying the latest nightly apps didn't resolve the issue. I'm honestly not sure if Kodi itself is the issue or if there's something up with a4ksubtitles. I'm using their latest version 3.18.1.

Anyone else suddenly experiencing this?

I kept having an issue where any time I re-loaded Kodi, Trakt Auth would break for all of my addons, and I found the culprit.

This is what worked for me, though it may not fix your issue. I realized that I had the "Account Manager" addon installed, but the API auth had broken on that app, and it was overwriting the Trakt settings for all other addons. If you have Account Manager installed and set up, you no longer need to individually sign in to the other apps--It will overwrite whatever the setup on those apps is upon startup. I had forgotten I had this set up and was banging my head against the wall for a while, so figured I'd share in case anyone else runs into the same issue.

Has anyone noticed issues with fen light crashing and then reporting no results on something that they just played?

My internet speeds are fine and My real-debrid account is active.

I know that the coding would be very complicated (I don’t code) but would it be possible to have a next episode thumbnail pop up? Something that pops up with a list of next episodes scraped to choose?

Love Fenlite it’s such a beautiful skin once you have it to your specifications, this was just something that I was thinking about.

Hi, I've been experience some very short (0.2s) audio dropouts from time to time. It's almost not noticable, but slightly annoying.

My build: shield pro > hue sync box > JBL bar 800 > TCL MQLED80

Using default Kodi skin, also had the problem with different skins

Cache settings: 128kb, 5x read rate Audio settings: passthrough allowed with the supported formats. Video settings (Kodi): frame rate set to start/stop (3s delay).

I first had the issue in fen lite (i only used this), then switched over to umbrella to check if it was a problem with the add-on. For about 2 weeks I didn't notice any dropouts in umbrella, but yesterday I had about 3 in the first episode of The Penguin (saved to cloud).

Anyone had similar issue and know how to fix it? I've searched online and found that people have had similar issue, but couldn't find a fix for it.

Any help appreciated! Let me know if more info is needed.

So I've been using Alldebrid for a few years off and on when I need to grab a bunch of pieces for projects I'm working on really quickly. Here and there I'll grab a movie, But I've never even thought to use it to stream before and once I bothered to check it out there seemed to be no instructions or explanations about doing so.

So can we stream any of the sites listed or is that just bait to sweeten the deal?

I've read through several posts and all of the information Alldebrid made available to me and none of it makes any sense to me. It doesn't connect to anything else, it's like listening to hyperactive children talk in circles.

This guide is for a Kodi streaming only build using Arctic Fuse 2, Umbrella, Trakt, and Real Debrid. This is on a 2019 Nvidia Shield Pro, but the process will be mostly the same across devices. Kodi and basic settings

Nvidia settings - Network & Internet - Enable IPv6 - off (This should improve performance/loading times, as some addons struggle with IPv6)

Install Kodi from the Google Play Store. Continue - While using the app - allow

Open Kodi

Settings - System - Set to Expert at bottom of screen

Audio - GUI sounds - never

Number of channels - Set to your system

Allow passthrough and enable all audio codecs supported by your system (this option will only appear if you are connected to an AVR)

Addons - unknown sources - on

Update from any repository

Player - Language - English

Prefer default audio - off

Subtitles - Forced only

Media - General - Show parent folder items - off

Interface - Screensaver - Get More - Aerial - Aerial settings max out display (I leave off HDR because there is a slight delay in switching on my projector. Test on your display)

No point in continuing to make a nice build if you cannot watch anything. Press stop on the film and we can proceed. If the movie did not play, you will need to repeat previous steps to correct it.)

Return to the Install from repository screen.

Move down to 1101 > Hub - Change Label to Movies - Yes for the Autocompletion install if prompted.

With Home highlighted at the top of the screen change the Mode to Detailed (Widgets + Information) Then select Edit categories and widgets

Rename Discover to Home and change the icon to Home (typing in the first few letters is a fast way to locate icons)

Making Widgets

Change the style to Poster (Feel free to test out different styles to personalize your build. It has been reported by others that Poster is the fastest to load, so keep that in mind on lower powered devices.)

Rename it to remove the (TMDB)

(For most of this build I will be pointing the widgets directly at Umbrella. You could just as easily point them at TMDB Helper or any other add-on that you would like to install.)

Delete the other widgets that were pre-made in the skin. They point to local library and since this build doesn’t use one, they don’t work.

Press the back button. We will be repeating the same process as above to fill out the widgets on the home screen. Feel free to use different widgets, if you prefer.

With Movies highlighted select Edit Widgets. Press the + button and then Add-ons - Video Add-ons - Umbrella - My Movies - Movie Lists - Movie Watchlist - Add folder

Rename it to remove the highlighted part - Change the style to Poster

Repeat the exact same process for the remaining areas TV Shows, New & Popular, and Kids. Here are the lists I used in the video:

Next we will create the various Categories that will be the buttons at the top of the screen when inside the hubs. As well as creating a dynamic page of widgets that will shift as you move across the buttons, they are also Shortcuts. So we’d want to choose a landing spot that makes sense. As an example, for my build I have one labeled Trakt that if I press it goes to my Trakt lists in a video add-on. I have tons of them! Underneath that Trakt button is a more curated set of Trakt lists that I want access to more frequently.

On the Customise hubs screen highlight 1101 > Movies

Edit categories and widgets. Press the + button - Add-ons - Video Add-ons - Umbrella - Discover Movies - Add folder. You can delete the placeholder empty widget. Change the name to Recent.

Press the + button - Add-ons - Video Add-ons - Umbrella - My Movies - Movie Lists - Add folder. Rename it to Trakt

For the next one let’s do a Genres shortcut. Press the + button - Add-ons - Video Add-ons - TMDB Helper - Movies - Genres - Add folder.

Now with the top one highlighted select Edit widgets. Press the + button. Add-on - Video add-on - Umbrella - Discover Movies - Trending Today (TMDb) - Add folder. Change the style to Poster. Rename it Trending Today.

Continue to add as many widgets as you like that fit with the Recent theme. In the video I used:

Hi. I have the Stremio + Torrentio + RD setup on my Firestick right now. When I want live TV I use a Kodi Add-on.

I went to set up another firestick for my uncle and I learned that you can’t share your RD key with other IP addresses. My uncle can’t do the monthly RD payment so making him his own account isn’t an option.

What is the best (100% FREE) alternative to Stremio+Torrentio+RD on Kodi? It’s important that it has access to Netflix and Prime and Apple shows and movies, like my current set up. Thank you very much for any help and suggestions you can provide! :)
