I've actually a Fire Cube 3rd with a Q930C. I have not issue with it except that it can't passthrough Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 or Dolby Digital(everything is touch and push as PCM Multi Channel)

The issue with that is that's the Fire Cube 3rd drop additionnal channel above 5.1. Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 is push as LPCM 5.1, same as Dolby Atmos 7.1.4 in Dolby Digital Plus(JOC).

I saw that the Fire Stick 4k Max Gen 2 can passthrough the same codecs as Fire Cube 3rd. The only enhancement i saw is that the Fire Stick can do PCM 7.1. So the Dolby Digital plus is still gonna be decoded and touched but push as PCM 7.1.

TLDR : The Fire Stick 4k Max Gen 2 can do PCM 7.1 not the Fire Cube 3rd. Worth the upgrade ?

I have the Samsung Q60b sounbar with amazon fireTV (hisense 58u6hf). when i turn on TV, soundbar turns on but no sound. I have to turn off/on the soundbar then sound works. Anyone experienced this and any workaround.

I've look everywhere and tried everything. I'm desperate. I use a VPN to watch NBA playoff games even though I'm in the US. It's worked great for years now. But now nothing works. On my phone, my laptop, and my TV whenever I try to watch it says "Channel not in service or channel not found" and shows this long error code that ends in 3097.

I don't know what this code means. I've tried to look it up but have found nothing. I don't know if maybe the app is just down at the moment or if it is now clocking my VPN and blocking me that way or even something else.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm at a complete loss. Thanks so much.

Not sure how to have my tv go directly to the firestick input. It turns on to the LG display , but I have to click home on remote to go to firestick. I saw some post on how to do it but those are outdated .

I've been using my FireTV a lot more lately, and don't really want to hit pause when I run to the kitchen to grab a snack, or to the bathroom, or even just to another room to grab something I'm looking for real quick.

I also have an Amazon Echo Dot in every room in the house...

Is there any way to 'keep the party going' (lol) while I run these quick errands around the house?

Hi, can anyone help me with this issue pls? I’m new to this group so don’t know if someone’s had the same issue in the past. I can’t seem to find paramount plus in the App Store to download. I search for it but it doesn’t come up. I’ve downloaded it in the past on a firestick 3rd gen and it was fine. I now have a firestick 4k max and for some reason it’s not coming up in the App Store. I had to side-load using the Downloader app but it was glitchy. Does anyone have any suggestions? I’ve searched online for solutions but nothing specific to my issue comes up.

As the title says, how to enable it so that when I press the Home button it goes back to the launcher? I have the setting enabled in Projectivy settings but in the accessibility settings of the Fire Stick I don’t see an option to enable it for the launcher.

It’s the most bizarre thing. Any time I laugh, my Omni Fire TV activates. It acts like I’ve said the activation word, dims the audio like it’s listening, then goes back to normal.

How do I make this stop? It’s very distracting during a show.

The the activation word is Computer.

I had a Firerstick and it was absolute GARBAGE! It was constantly freezing and unpairing from the remote. It died after a year and a half! I found out later that it had 1GB RAM. There are now Firesticks that have 2GB RAM. Are they significantly better or is the whole Fire brand worthless?

So Fallout and Dune 2 show all black screen when played. You can hear the sound and see the subtitles and controls but that's it. It's the same regardless of which file exactly you play for that show.

Most others are ok and play visible and in color though.

My equipment control to turn my tv on and off was working just fine but then suddenly it got disconnected and I am unable to add that remote again. Please help

It's a Fire Stick 4k Max.

Trying to watch some Hulu, but every few minutes it says "Can't Connect to Network" and exits out. It's weird though cause it still seems connected as I can just hit "resume episode" and it will continue playing.

What's really strange though is that I don't have this issue when connecting the Fire Stick to my phone's hotspot, so it would seem that my home wifi is to blame. But no other devices have an issue with it, and the native streaming apps on my tv (LG C3) work fine on my wifi as well.

Any ideas? Both the Fire Stick and it's apps are all updated.

Apologies for the random title but it’s the best way I can describe the problem I’m having.

I’ve tried to watch last nights playoff games on the NBA app on my 4K Firestick / LG CX and keep getting a repeated error where the screen almost completely bleaches/whites-out (just like during the bomb-drop in Oppenheimer) then hangs for 10-15s, and then the TV restarts. It then keeps ‘crashing’ the TV until I pull the power on the Firestick.

Firestick and NBA app both up-to-date. Tried different streams, cleared cache, data, reinstalled, etc and still getting same issue. I can use other apps with no problems, it’s always the NBA app that starts the problem it seems.

Anyone else having this problem? I’ve read that the app has historically been a bit shit, but this seems extreme?

ETA: I’m trying to order through Amazon. It’s their branded TV. It’s not a 3rd party.

I’m trying to order the Omni QLED - every 55 inches and above will not ship to my address (or any address/zip in the immediate area)

Any idea why?

• I live in a tri state area. I tried zip codes in all 3 states in the immediate area and get the same message

• I tried an old address I still had saved (same state as me, 2ish hours away) and they WOUlD ship.

• Same as above for a zip code in one of my neighboring states (also a couple hours away)

• the regular Omni (not QLED) will not ship the 55 but will ship everything above and below it

I’m stumped at this point…

I just bought this 65" Insignia brand new in box from Best Buy. I have let the TV do its set up and updates, everything was fine until after 10-15 mins of any show is played, even games.

If it is just on the home screen, nothing like this happens. It is random every time, some times the screen flashes green, most other times I get rainbow static or frozen distortion. I have power cycled, checked power cable, checked Xbox on other TV. It definitely feels like I was screwed over on a faulty product from the store.

Before I jump through hoops with customer service, and Best Buy, has any one here had this exact experience and ever figure out a solution? Thank you all for any information you may have.

We have a 50-inch Insignia Fire TV, purchased October 2021, that just started acting up about three days ago; there's a constant vertical bar on the right edge that's slightly lighter than the rest of the image.

Device software is up-to-date.

I have a 4k firetv stick gen1, it chugs hard even on my 720p old tv!! I have debloated it best I can without root aswell and it still is just not very snappy. Is there anything I can do with this?

It does show up when I install it on my phone (latest android), just not on my Fire Cube gen 3. Is this normal?

Spotify doesn’t turn on the TV anymore on a Fire TV stick. This used to work, and at some point it stopped working. YouTube Music still turns it on. I can also use Alexa to turn TV on and off so there’s no issue with CEC control. Any idea?

Washed my sheets and didn’t realize my remote was folded into the covers so I accidentally put it in the wash. It didn’t go for the full cycle but still went like 20 mins. Don’t except to be able to revive it cuz the batteries were but u never know. It’s got a green light in the corner of it so is that a sign it might work?

I found this Grundig Fire TV online, and the only issue with it seems to be that the owner lost the remote, and the TV prompts a connection to the remote, meanwhile the replacement that the owner has bought does not function (mind you it is a random universal remote and not a certified Fire TV remote). Has anyone had the same issue before and has found a solution that does not include finding the old remote? I was thinking that if I buy an offical Alexa Fire TV remote off of Amazon for 30$ it would work wonders, but I don't think it's possible for me to test it. Any assistance or answer is highly appreciated!

one of my neighbors tossed out a working 1st gen fire stick but didn't toss out the remote with it. another neighbor tossed out a non working 2nd gen fire stick with a voice remote that has the volume buttons. is there a way to pair that remote or am i stuck buying a 1st gen remote just to be able to use it
