I was wondering about the demand for full-time lawyers in AR law?
I am currently on track to attend a T100 regional law school that specializes in animal law in the fall. I want to work for an organization seeking animal rights (e.g. Peta, ALDF, nonhuman rights project, etc). But I have heard in other subreddits that there are considerably more lawyers interested in these positions than there are positions available. Although, these posts were ~5 years old and my impression is that the field is expanding.
Does anyone with more current insight have thoughts on whether organizations like these could use more personnel in the legal department, or if there are an overabundance of lawyers (many from much more prestigious schools) to fill this niche?

Thanks :)
My buddy was given their mother's abused cat to watch while she was in a mental hospital, they haven't given the cat back due to the condition of the cat and their mother's mental health state. I was wondering if they can re-home the cat through an animal shelter or something? They're having trouble caring for the poor cat right now. And we both feel like it wouldn't be safe to return the cat to a bed bug, roach, nat and fly infested hoarder studio apartment covered in mold and garbage. Notes: The cat had its eye kicked and blinded by my buddies mother's long toenails and had been found covered in dried human urine. It also flinches a lot when you raise your hand or move towards her too quickly.
Ok I was contacted by a customer about doing a odd job for them. They asked me to come give a price. So I went and looked at it and told them what I would charge to do it and they said that's totally fine and I could start right away. I completed the job same day. Next day customer wanted me to meet them to settle up. So I get there and customer starts to tell me I'm taking advantage of them and was not gonna pay me the amount we both agreed upon. Not because of the job not done or because I did a crappy job. But because I did the job too fast and got the job done to quickly. So they would only pay me half of what was agreed upon. Do I have a case in small claims or am I just.out of that money?

Can my daughter use her emotional support cat to keep me from evicting her. She is not paying any rent and didn't bring her cat for 3 months after I let her stay here. Instead she is just squatting on my couch and forced this cat on me threatening me with the Ada. Saying I can't deny her cat and I can't make her leave.
Hello reddit. I am sorry for grammar errors but I need help. I live in Bulgaria and in a city with a lot of jipsys. We have a neighbor that gives a food to every single cat on the street and the cats multiply but the problem is the neighbors (gypsy's) hate them. We had 4 or 5 cats like one after one and they poison them every single one of them. Today on May 21 2022 they killed another one. But the biggest problem is that the cat they killed have baby's and we don't know how to raise them. It's hard because me and my family don't have that much time to watch them. It's even possible to make cat kill them.
Hello, we are a group of psychology researchers from the University of Kent, UK. It would be a huge help if any vegans interested would fill out our quick survey (18+ only) about your personal views surrounding your dietary lifestyle choices.

The survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete, and we're happy to answer any queries or questions you may have.
Thanks for your time.
Edit: The survey is now closed! Thanks very much for your time, we'll be sure to post any results here when they're ready!
I am currently seeking a lawyer experience in Animal Law/Animal Cruelty Law.
THE STORY:
My dog escaped my fence, through a hole dug by another dog in our neighborhood, shortly after I left for work on October 8th. According to my neighbor's story, my dog had "paired up" with coyotes running around the neighborhood. We live in a very rural area of SoCal desert areas. She claims that 3 dogs, she thought were coyotes, charged and attacked her maltese dog. Apparently only one was actually engaging with her dog as the others stood around. She said she kept pulling on her dogs retractable leash while her dog was in the mouth of one of these dogs She claimed the attacking dog was violently shaking her dog in its mouth. She yelled for her husband and he rushed outside. This supposedly spooked the dogs and they dropped her dog. She was able to take herself and her dogs safely back inside her house. Her husband went inside to get his gun and came back outside. She claims he shot indiscriminately at dogs because they would not leave. She says he shot one in the shoulder first, and then in the head to "put her out of her misery". She says this is when they discovered her bright red collar. They then drug her dead body to the bushes on their property. They proceeded to take their dog to the vet office near by(45 mins away), who then told them to seek care at another vet because the injuries were to severe. They were able to come back to their vacation home and pack up their things. The husband realized my dog was still alive at this point, after about 2 and a half hours after the "first" shot to her, so he then shot her in the top center of her head. They were then able to drive 3 hours to a vet near their primary home. They never contacted animal control or us until the next day when the neighbor who took pictures of her told them we were looking for them. Animal control took statements from both of us and conducted rabies testing, to which I never received a copy of the report or tests though I submitted a written request. I was also able to get copies of the pictures of my dog (from their neighbor they called over to determine dog breed) shortly after being killed, that showed no blood on her teeth, muzzle, or gums. She only had one gunshot wound to the head, which was the only blood on her, no other visable wounds. It clearly shows that my dog's body was dragged, and I'm pretty sure that she was not on their property initially. My dog has never shown any signs of aggression to humans, children, other dogs, and my cats.
This lady is now wanting me to pay her large vet bill, when I'm not even sure my dog was responsible for the injuries. The lady said she didnt see a collar when her dog was being attacked. Her story has changed about 5 different times in between us first talking and going to court. What actions can I take? Do I have a chance at fighting the bills because I'm not sure my dog was responsible for the injuries? Was it legal to shoot my dog after the situation was under control? If you have any more questions, I will be happy to answer. Thank you all for your assistance.
