For those that run an A2 stock, this is what I was able to come up with for a QD sling attachment point. After quite a bit of research, I could not find much for a QD attachment point for the A2. I ordered the noveske flush mound QD pocket, drilled a 1/2” hole through the stock (mine has an internal hollow pocket), and then used blue loctite to aid in securing it in place. I love how it turned out and now I have a good attachment point to use with every sling I own.

I can't seem to find a lot of information on the S5 vs the standard tube. Is the S5 an AR15 size tube instead of an AR10 tube?

Recent build. DMR precision focused:

• Current production DPMS Lower. FCD RE5 Buffer tube. Sprinco red spring. Lightweight buffer(1 steel, 2 machined aluminum weights). Larue MBT.
• Davidson Defense Ghoul upper. Upper was checked for runout(less than 0.00025") and drilled for the anti rotation pin for the rail.

-SLR ZRO rail -Craddock RTR 18" barrel and matching bolt. Shimmed/loctited thermal fit barrel to upper. -Riflespeed AGB. -Brownells TI BCG. Barrel is/was on the verge of being undergassed even with gas block wide open(yes gas block is properly indexed). Lightweight buffer and bolt carrier runs great now.

So im thinking about getting a supressor but kind of confused about QD systems and directories threads and etc. It's just a whole nother ball game.

So can someone just tell me which supressor is the best generally for .308? Can I have I have a muzzle device that'll be compatible with the supressor recommended as well. And could I get that same muzzle device, say for a .223 and throw the supressor on there?

Evening everyone. I've decided on a 20" criterion barrel (currently out of stock everywhere, lol) for my .308 build. It's going into a Centurion upper.
My two questions:

1. What handguards does everyone like, and what length for a 20" barrel? I'm indecisive. If it helps, probably the only thing I'll be mounting on the handguard is a bipod, and I dont care whether it's MLOK or Pic rail.
2. Does anyone know where I can find the barrel in stock? I've checked a lot of the usual places and can't find it.

Just ordered this. Want to find a can I can use without detaching the muzzle break Is this a thing or am I better off removing the break? Would appreciate can suggestions either way, especially if they're ones available on silencershop.com

Finished the last touches on my AR10 build and I had to give it the Tiger stripe treatment.

Picked up a PoF revolution in 308 a couple months ago. Got some Barnes TTSX in 168gr for it. I really like the TTSX bullets and I have some other guns in different calibers that shoot the bullet really well. However, the Revolution didn't seem to like the bullet. I was getting pretty inconsistent groups at 100yds. Does anybody have one and if so have you found a factory load that it shoots well? I bought a few different boxes of different velocity and grain types to try. Hoping to get it out soon, so I can start building an ammo supply for it. It's a 16.5 inch barrel with a Mark 5 3.6x18.

Which would be better? Will be suppressed and with an AGB. Will most likely be a criterion barrel.

Im assuming its a rebranded toolcraft or something like that, does anyone know?

I finally got to shoot my AR10. AERO lower, Mas Defense 12.5 barrel upper. Double ejector BCG. Gas redirecting charging handle. It shot very well. No failure to eject or feed.

However, there was alot of gas in my face. Then when I added the lahar 30 supressor, I could only shoot a few rounds before the gas got too much. Gas/smoke was coming out of the ejector port and the end of the barrel.

It was an indoor range.

It performed well both Un and suppressed. I did no rapid fire.

Is that level of gas to be expected?

I’m building a AR10 chambered in 308. I was wonder what the best heavy barrel would be, Preferably 20” or longer.

Anderson slick side upper and aero m5 lower.. I have only built 1 other ar10 and it didn't have these gaps. I run mostly suppressed so I'm guessing I did something wrong here. Thanks for any input.

Payed for a $7 can of spray paint to hold me over until I decide to drop the coin on the same piece of plastic in a different color. I love HK, but they most definitely do not love me back.

Just got this (faxon) barrel in from primary arms and it's got a few scuffs on it. My assumption is that it's been mounted just looking at where the barrel nut would seat and gas block etc.

The cosmetic stuff is whatever, but very specifically looking at the feed ramps theres scuffing that may be beyond comsetic. What do you guys think? And if I should send it back or something similar who would you recommend reaching out to? Faxon themselves or primary arms?

Looking at getting a new safety selector. I’m thinking about going with the Radian Talon or a Battle Arms selector. Just curious what other brands out there may be worth a try.

So far I have only found one manufacturer (Moriarty)making uppers and only a few making barrels. I feel like I should just get an MCX. I'd really like to just build an upper though and maybe get a designated lower later. Has anyone seen other options in 277 fury for LR 308?

I’ve built up an 18” ADM UIC-10A 308. Now I have to pick an optic. I don’t really know its use case honestly. I want to find a long range course to attend somewhere in my region. I would like to be able to competently shoot out to 800 yards in case the world devolves and I need to. That’s about it really. I think I want a mil rad base optic. I don’t think I want to have to dial turrets to adjust and would prefer something with hold overs. I’m a veteran so I get discounts at Leupold, vortex etc. I’d appreciate any suggestions on optic magnification range and reticle suggestions for good value optics. Up to 1500-1800 retail maybe, then I can try to get it for less than that with veteran discount or used. Wondering about 2.5-10x ish, vs 3-15x ish, vs 4.5-16x ish. I’m paralyzed by options and limited knowledge base. Thanks!

Literally and figuratively a heavy carbine.

Has been run from 0-1000 yards as configured. Can self spot to about 600 yards with the optics combo. A handy yet capable package. One hell of a fun gun!
