I live in Canada and so can't access suppressors. Wondering about upgrading the muzzle device. I don't mind the recoil, but would be interested in getting something to help with muzzle rise. There's a lot of options on the market including the B&T comp, Surefire, Cadex etc if anyone has recommendations. Bonus points for looking cool. Thanks!

TLDR:: the APC9KSD2 has similar recoil impulse to a regular non ported non suppressed full size MP5. I no longer have FOMO for an MP5 and I am 100% satisfied with my purchase of the APC9KSD2. For me, it’s a perfect weapon.

Just thought this might help someone. I finally got my hands on an MP5 to try out. I own the APC9KSD2 for comparison. Both guns I’d say are within 10-20% of each other in felt recoil, they feel more or less identical to me. I’ll list some pros and cons for me:

APC9KSD2:: extremely soft and pleasant recoil. The gun feels well built, tight, crisp, etc. Has no harshness or snappiness using 115 and 124 Fiocchi. The bolt travel feels slightly shorter than the MP5 to so it’s a more concise shooter IMO.

MP5:: soft pleasant shooter but feels slightly longer. While the recoil is extremely similar in terms of intensity, it feels a little slower than the APCSD. In terms of overall impression, I didn’t like this gun at all. Maybe it had a high round count but the gun felt old, loose, and clunky. The recoil impulse was the only thing I liked about it TBH.

Some observations - my APC9KSD2 has the ported barrel, so do not expect the regular APC9K to shoot like an MP5. I’m pretty sure it won’t. Also I would say that if you have an MP5SD with a similar ported barrel, it will essentially have no recoil and would shoot a lot softer than my APC9KSD2.

For sale is a new brace I put together from parts laying around. It is missing a button on one side. The other side has a button it functions and worked correctly. It comes with the Haga Acr adapter, you will have to use your own buffer it can be used on apc9/223/300/308. If you want more pictures in your interested, I can send them through the chat. I shot an event two weeks ago and left two of the brand new “Government contract overrun” black mags loaded as I didn’t use them. Well you can see what happened, the feed lips have cracked on both of the mags left loaded. These mags were loaded with no damage present, not fired at the event, and then sat for two weeks exactly. Needless to say I am extremely disappointed. I knew of the cracked feed lips problem with B&T mags but really hoped these “new versions” would hold up.

Just got my can approved today after only waiting 8 days and was excited to try my new lingle industries lower. The lower is amazing and had 0 issues at the range. I love the paddle mag release and it uses scorpion mags. I highly recommend if your looking for a replacement for the shit b&t mags.

Switched to the Sig P320 Lower on the APC9 Pro SD. I love the SIG P320 Magazines. They are metal, proven, easy to load and don't cost my first born's soul. Just received 1250 rounds of ammo for the weekend exercises. God bless America.

I haven’t seen photos of the longer handguard yet, so I figured I would share.

This is the APC223 with the 18.6” barrel (Canadian non-restricted) with the extended handguard (364mm). Handguard is part # BT-362053. Ordered from Wolverine Supplies in Canada.

It feels (and looks) way more balanced. Will be shooting it this weekend.

Debating the APC options for subsonic use, I am reconsidering a 45ACP versus 9mm APC "SD". Thoughts being a 230gr FMJ is twice the payload of 115~124FMJ with similar penetration potential but twice the 'thump' when it hits.

What are my magazine options besides the factory B&T mags? I know the APC9 has a bunch of lower options for most popular pistol magazines but, what about the APC45? Does it have a Glock or HK magazine compatibility option or something else?

What are the major comparisons and contrasts between an APC9-SD versus the APC45-SD? No ports in the 45ACP barrel would make cleaning easier ... what else? My shooting with this platform will be ~50' to ~30 yards so, bullet drop won't be a meaningful factor and, either APC will be shorter and more compact than my 300BO SBR. An APC300-SD with its 1x5" barrel twist would be nice but, I think it is too long overall and 300BO ammunition is more expensive and not as plentiful which is a factor for my shooting volume killing critters on my farm that are killing livestock and need more than a suppressed rimfire.

Just got permission to bring home my APC9 Pro Limited (my first B&T) from firearm jail. Already have a Wolfman waiting for it. Looking at all the lights on the market. Going to mainly use it for self defense cqb so don’t need mega throw. What are the current favorites that mount cleanly to the APC 9 Pro?

Hey guys I live in Communist Canada where we can only have 5 round capacity in our mags. The only loophole is we can have 10 rounds if it’s a “pistol” magazine. Like the XCR Mags. So I bought a bunch of those and turns out they fail to feed or I get jams about 5 rounds per mag. 50% failure is a no go. Any recommendations for a guy who wants to shoot 10 rounds instead of 5 legally ? Thanks everyone!

I am thinking 9mm due to easy-to-find ammunition, relatively lower costs to shoot, and cross-magazine compatibility with my pistol. I have an HK-94 and SP-5 pistol currently so, I don't want to overly duplicate what I already have but, the APC9-SD looks like a better option than an HK-5SD which costs at least twice as much to buy as I just missed out on one at $7K today. Heck, it looks like I could get both the 9mm and 45 APC-SD for what one HK-5SD would cost me.

What I want is something sub-sonic that is reasonably compact and affordable to shoot with mainstream ammunition. I have very mixed feelings with the 300BO and the 8.6BO is pretty expensive to own and shoot and fills an entirely different role as well.

I'm debating an APC9-SD and wondering if I should wait for Black Friday deals or just look for a good deal in today's market.

I should note I am not trying to bottom fish and want to deal with a good B&T dealer but, I also don't want to overpay either.

In the market now for an APC223/556 sport with the 16.5” barrel. I don’t want to pay the premium, nor do I need a PRO version. Any of the prior versions still in the wild? I recall a few places were blowing these out a year or so ago and hoping I didn’t miss an opportunity here.
