So I’ve been trying to make a portfolio for a good while, and I feel like I have a lot of varied footage. It’s not client work, but it’s mostly from my own 2 YouTube channels. One focuses on gaming the other has fake commercials. I’ve done other streamers segments as well. Should I not think too much about it and put all the good content I have and make it pretty or should I look for clients to build my portfolio?
I guess my biggest question is, does having all this footage not mean anything if I wanted to look for a corporate editing position?
Having a hard time wrapping my head around this. ALL of her videos have this motion/warp thing happening in the background of her videos. 99% of the time, it looks like she uses the same "effect" on every video - same position and everything. This is one of the rare times I see the effect in a different spot (on the sides)
Hello so I’m new to CapCut and I’m trying to edit this project and there is one point where I’m trying to brighten up a video but every time I do it the audio crashes what do I do?
I typically end up cutting the entire footage and then I add the music, there are rare cases where I have to match footage with the music since all of the videos are scripted. However, I find it REALLY difficult to find the right song for the project. I usually end up finding it after 3 or 4 hours of searching. I use multiple audio libraries, but it doesn't matter, its always the same struggle.
Am I the only in this situation? Is there anything you can suggest to make that process faster?
I'm starting a patron where I'll be reacting to music. How do I sync what I'm hearing with the video so that it sounds good. I'll be listening with headphones
Hey guys, I’m trying to plan out my schedule that way I know how much time I need to set aside to edit these videos. My goal is to start up my anime reaction channel next week. My goal is to record and edit 3 to 4 videos a day Monday through Thursday anime episodes are around 24 minutes apiece. How long would it take me to edit 3 to 4 24 to 29 minutes videos hopefully I’m asking the right questions in the right sub if I’m not, please point me in the right direction
I'm trying to find a tool to do this on my pc. I've checked videos about it but most of the sources suggest sites that have a list of voices you can use to replace the speaking voice in your video. This is not what I want. I have a video with someone speaking (telling a fairy tale) with some background noise and music. I have a sample of another person's voice and I want that person's voice to do the speaking in the video, replacing the original speaker's voice. How do I do that?
Hi Guys,
I was watching this tutorial by ripple training
https://youtu.be/QbINvWI3ZeU?si=FP6547FNzTgELGyQ
58 minute mark.
Should I be doing my corrections with the color chart before I put it in chronological order and cutting my clips? The instructor says he recommends doing color normalization at the end of the editing process to avoid correcting clips I wont use, but doesn't that mean I need to not cut my clips with the color chart before putting them in my timeline? At what point do I cut the color chart out?
Thank you in advance.
This is the video . How can I increase the quality of my videos like this one??
what is a db for a video which has music and dialogue together ? how to balance them? i did put 20db for music and 12db for dialogue but the music was still too loud and if its any lower it will be too low.
I decided to start editing this week (mostly animated stuff), and I’m so lost. I settled on Alight Motion since its free, but the tutorials left me more confused. Can anyone give me tips on how to get better using AM? (Basics, effects, transitions, etc)
Is AM the right app to use? How do you find free clips? The tutorials Ive looked at were subpar so who did you guys watch when you needed help? How long were you editing before you became “good”?
Thanks
Hello everyone,
I’m working on a project where I need original, uncompressed video footage shot on an iPhone 5. Unfortunately, I don’t have access to the device myself, so I’m hoping someone here might have some sample footage, tests, or old recordings from an iPhone 5 in its original format—ideally without any compression applied (RAW or straight from the phone).
If anyone has this type of footage or knows where I might be able to find some, I’d love to hear from you! You can reach me directly via email at nunchatdevelopment@gmail.com. Any help would be hugely appreciated.
Thanks a lot!
Hi,
A client of ours needs around 750 videos, each with a personalized message. The main message is the same for all videos, except for the first 5 seconds, where he addresses each client by name.
We plan to record the full message once and then separately record all 750 names individually, with him saying each name directly to the camera.
What would be the best workflow to minimize editing time? We can handle everything manually, but if there’s a way to streamline or automate most of the process, that would be ideal. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Hey guys, I am a beginner in this field. First of all I am doing this basically out of pure passion as I am a big fan of 2d animation and stuff. Recently learning about blender and clip studio about how to create 2d animation. But to complete my project I need to learn about video editing, for which I choose da Vinci resolve. But till now I am unable to find any physical teacher for video editing. So here is my questions:
( My project - think of it as 2d cartoon with proper voice over )
Good morning, so I'm trying to replicate the kind of recording quality here . Is this StreamYard, Riverside or even something else like Zoom, OBS ? The quality is spectacular even though it's virtual. I would be grateful for any guidance. Thank you!
Hey, I want to start faceless Youtube channel with two goals:
Ad Revenue
Building an Audience that can in the future be used as distribution for products of my brand
I'm a one-person show right now, I have some basic experience using photoshop and premier-pro. I see a lot of people on Youtube building huge audiences with animated videos. I want your help in finding resources to upskill myself to do the same. Most of videos on Youtube on this topic are trash, I don't want to use an all in-one AI tool like Invideo AI. Most courses by Youtubers are also crazy expensive. So please suggest any resources you have found useful. Thanks :)
I’m currently working on a documentary that will be presented to an audience of over a hundred people. While I’m familiar with the basics of video editing, this is my first time taking on a project of this scale, and I want to make sure it’s as polished and professional as possible.
Can anyone give me any tips regarding some of the following:
Recommended editing software Structuring a documentary and keeping it engaging Color correction, sound, and smooth transitions Working with interviews and regular footage And anything you would’ve appreciated as a novice
(For context- the documentary concerns the production of another group’s play, I’ve sampled videos of rehearsals and interviews with the participants)
I have a decently solid foundation of video editing so don’t need to learn any basics in premiere pro, and I know some after effects. I want to learn how to edit in a style similar to pasalu.jpg on instagram, and was wondering is there a structured way to go about doing this and will I be able to pull it off in about 2 months?
Guys, I am new and have now read and watched a lot about fps.
I'm currently on my first project and I have 24fps footage and 60fps footage. It is recommended to create a 24fps timeline for the 24fps material and reduce the speed of the 60fps material by 40% in order to get a nice slow motion effect for some scenes. So far so good.
Now I would have liked to leave some 60fps scenes at regular speed because it looks good in some scenes, but 60fps at regular speed in a 24fps timeline doesn't work without stuttering.
Now I have created a 60fps timeline, my 60fps material obviously looks good and I also can play 60fps scenes at regular speed without slowing it down, but so does my 24fps material. Why is that?
In short, my 24fps footage looks just as good in a 24fps timeline as it does in a 60fps timeline. Why? Is it because I use a TV with 100/120hz? On YouTube videos they Show examples, but my 24fps material still looks good.
I don't understand it. Actually, the 24fps in a 60fps timeline should look terrible.
Any idea why is that?
Hello!:)
I recently had to record a festival with visuals and many low-light situations, I used my Sony A6400 and a Yongnuo 50mm f1.8 lens with an ISO of approx 4000-5000 and in a HGL picture profile. However, when I reviewed the footage on the computer I could see that it had a lot of noise, especially in the shadows.
I would like to know if you know of any good and reliable alternative to eliminate that annoying noise 🙏
Are there any tools for remote collaboration?
Hi everybody, anybody knows what's the name of this effect on this video:

Also, if have some similar on capcut?
Thanks a lot
I currently create infographics on TV shows analyzing things such as character screentime - how much time they are on the screen throughout the episode. Is there a plugin/script (on AfterEffects/Pp or another program) that would allow me to choose a face and then it would select all the clips containing that face?
Hi! I'm new to all this. It is my first project.
As a test, I created a 60fps timeline at Adobe Pro and added 24fps videos and 60fps videos. I set some scenes to 40% speed to have slow motion in the 60fps videos. I left some other 60fps scenes at normal speed and the 24fps scenes are also unchanged. And it looks kind of good, why is that? Everyone says never add 24fps into 60fps timeline.
If I now create a 24fps timeline and insert the 60fps videos there, I am forced to set the scenes to 40% slow motion because without it stutters and just doesn't look good at all.
The footage will only be played on my TV which has 100/120hz. Is that maybe the reason why I also could use 60fps timeline?
I convert to rec 709 with Davinci color space transform. I then white balance, do exposure, and work colors. But I don’t use a LuT, should I?
Obviously there is just scaling the opacity down, but I swear I've seen cleaner looking fade to blacks. Almost like its a color setting that they change.
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for multiple video recordings to sync up for one video. I've searched for how to do this and am confused.
I'll explain. I'll be recording guitar lessons and need to switch between different camera angles. I will be recording with one camera and doing multiple takes. I'll also be switching narration from some of the videos and adding blanket audio over most of the videos.
I just purchased Davinci Video Editor and don't know where to begin.
How do I sync everything?
Recommended YouTube videos?
Thank you for all your help.
God bless.
Craig
Are there any apps or video filter effects you can apply to a video of a person, that will make the person look either younger (making wrinkles disappear etc) or older, but still looking realistic?
I'm being asked by many video editors if there's new tools for making video editing faster or to use ai and...
As far as I've experienced and reviewed many tools, there isn't (as of now) transformative tools which would revolutionize video editing. The best way is to use the most advanced versions of our old editing apps (for me Premiere Pro) and try to get to now the new tools which could be of help for the future.
Does anybody has other ideas on making professional video editing faster / smoother / easier?
Thanks
Hey guys. We have a short form content channel that's going pretty well. We are 2 guys and we have 1 video editor. The channel is about sharing our story of building a startup, so we constantly need to film stock footage for our editor to use.
We can't figure out the best way to constantly support our editor with fresh footage. We film with iPhones. We've tried using google drive but its not super easy to upload the videos and it's not the easiest one to navigate for our editor as well.
Also, we've tried categorizing videos inside google drive with things like positive/negative emotions, working, timelapses etc but we still struggle with all this.
Maybe someone had a similar problem and solved it and now has a smooth easy process?
