My channel is primarily to showcase my art, which is figurines based on anime and games which i 3d print. My main focus is how cool and fun the figurines are, but I also dont want the videos to look like advertisements. I GUESS my only line of attack is to be a personality which tries to bring people along for the journey of coming up with the designs. But that might not be what my target audience (weebs/simps who want as much merch as humanly possible) is interested in looking at
Anyone have any ideas what angles i can try attacking at the problem?
i honestly thought this video was rlly good but it flopped super hard and i wanted to hear what you guys think.
some feedback i’ve already received and tried to implement in later videos was:
intro is too long, pacing is slow, title is too complicated.
I’m looking to explore my creative direction in content and music creation and have been changing directions a lot but this video i specifically wanted feedback on so i can better choose my direction as i move forward!
thanks for your time! (:
Imagine you upload a long form video (14min) in your channel after suffering too Much in the editing process (2 weeks , daily) , and someone post a comment like this "haha editing level Sh**t..nice video"
Hello everyone. I have a gaming channel that I recently started doing playthroughs. I try to keep each vid within the hour mark, but when I look at my analytics it shows viewers hop off around the 3 minute mark. Any tips on how to change that? I do commentary on the videos while I play.
How to start the process?
Hey together,
I just started my YouTube Channel and dropped the first Video last week with 89 views and on friday will come the second one.
At the moment I try to brainstorm for New Ideas and that is, where I want to hear your thoughts.
How do you work until you have your finished Idea and start Filming?
Do you have an Idea and plan out, how the video will be with every scene?
Do you come up with more Ideas and plan them already to have enough content for i.e. a month?
I really want to have your input on your process of Making a Video.
Thank you very much and Best regards,
P.S. any World of Tanks Creator to exchange some news and Feedback?
Hello ladies and gentlemen,
I’ve started on YouTube (gaming) for the first time in my life about a week and a half ago. I make gaming videos, kind of like Let’s Plays.
I’ve reached 9 subs, 3.5k views, 52 watchtime. Those numbers are more of my shorts.
Right now, I’m creating long-form videos, gaming videos that are about 45 minutes on average.
I’m also using the same gameplay footage to create additional Shorts to boost the visibility of my channel.
I’ve noticed that the Shorts get an average of over 300 views, while the long-form videos stay under 10 views.
Is this normal, or should I consider a different approach?
Thank you in advance!
This isn't a whiny post. It's a legit concern based on what my friends are telling me.
Posted my latest video Monday morning. Maybe it's the worst time to post. I have a few friends that watch my videos religiously and click the second I release one.
Not a single friend was notified by YouTube. They all have notifications switched on. My own family wasn't notified. My alt account wasn't notified.
I have 69 views on a popular topic. Even my worst videos did better just from my subscribers. When my friends search for my video it doesn't even show up. Not even 50 deep. Ironically my other videos show up with only one word in the title being the same.
Is something going on with YouTube? Anyone legitimately seeing something weird happening?
I had to reach out to a dozen friends to tell them I released a new vid and the response has been the same "didn't know you posted one!"
In my free time, I enjoy traveling and producing travel videos. I have no intention of becoming a professional YouTuber, and while I wouldn’t mind getting paid, it's not mission-critical. My main goal is to create genuinely good content, and I'm interested in tips on improving my videos without spending too much money.
Does anyone know where to get feedback? I’ve tried FB groups, but I just end up getting messages from people trying to sell me SEO services or thumbnails.
I know it’s a lot to ask since people would need to watch my videos, and I don’t want to just hunt for clicks.
Any ideas? I’m also open to finding a local/digital meetup.
For context, when I started, I was a total rookie and didn’t even know what a gimbal was. It turned out to be a great investment (around $100), and I’ve also upgraded to shooting in 4K and 60 FPS. I’d love to share experiences and have discussions focused on creating great content -not just which keywords to use.
So I was a guest on someone’s podcast today, they have allowed me to upload the podcast to my channel as well. My fear is that if I use unedited footage of the same podcast, YouTube might have a problem with that, am I correct or no?is it OK for me to upload their podcast that I am a guest on on my channel as well, or do I have to make some sort of editing to justify it?
Hey! So, I’ve been thinking — this YouTube journey can feel pretty lonely sometimes, right? I feel it’s hard to get real insights from friends, family, or even the audience. They don’t always get the grind or know what actually makes a video click.
I always Imagine having a few friends who get the struggle of thumbnail experiments, title tweaks, and figuring out why one video pops while another flops. 🎬
I’m looking for a handful of YouTubers who would be down to chat, hop on calls, and really dig into what’s working (or not!) with each other’s content.
If you’re also hoping to build an inner circle like this — where we can all support each other and give genuine, constructive feedback — drop a comment or DM me! I’m here to just learn faster together.
No pressure, no strings — just a genuine desire to grow with some like-minded folks. 🌱
Hope to connect with a few of you soon!
I love business stories and business documentaries. Magnates media is my inspiration and I also want to make similar kind of videos with some uniqueness to it (both in script writting and editing). So if some here is trying the same, I need some valuable advice and guindance from you.
I get discouraged when I don't see a lot of views or my subscribers not increasing but they are going up very slowly. How can I work harder to make it grow faster? I understand it won't happen overnight..I'm trying to not get burned out and give up because I see the potential in keeping it going.
If your looking for a thumbnail maker hit me up in my DMs and I’llShow you some of my past work as well.
Prices start at $10.
Help me overcome the algorithm please!
So I make eafc25 player reviews. These are very niche where typically no competitors or just the one. Depending on which cards i review.
There is one huge problem though, if a person includes the key word "fc25" when searching for my specific player review.
E.G "84 gnonto player review fc25" my video will be unfindable and drowned out by a sea of completely unrelated fc25 content.
But if they search
"Gnonto review"
My video is top and the only one that exists.
I have fc25 in tags, first line of description, title and thumbnail but it is not enough.
Does anyone have any advice on how to make my videos visible because it is incredibly frustrating.
The tiktok algorithm works so much better but I much prefer making youtube videos.
Please help!
I’ve been uploading videos on a pretty lowkey game I’m hoping will pop off eventually, haven’t had as much growth as I would like, (close to 400 subs in 5 months) and I’m getting burnt out on the game that I exclusively stream/make videos on.
Is anyone else in the same boat and what did you do?
I’d like to stream and create content for other games but I’m worried cause from my understanding it’s kind of a golden rule to only focus on a single niche cause most people don’t care about content for other games.
TYIA for any feedback!
I've been in and off editing YouTube videos for almost 15 years, I started just before highschool on free editing software back in the day. Now that I'm older and pushing for more professional style videos I wanted to know if anyone has tips or tricks to stream line the process?
I don't wanna spend hours and hours editing videos until my brains fried, I work 15 hour days and have wife and house to manage and would love tips and tricks you guys use to make things smoother and faster editing wise. Thanks in advance 😁
Any British channel here want to collaborate with a promising channel?
[For American, please read the P/S]
Our channel currently has 29.6k subs with a daily growth of ~50 new subscribers without publishing videos.
In short, we are an English learning channel that focuses on British accent. We’re in need of new British voices (male and female).
All you’ll have to do to collaborate with us is to film your mouth speaking something in British Accent for 1 minute each video. This can be your own creative script or we’ll send you one.
The final video will only show the lower part of your face. You can either initially record just your mouth or crop the video to focus on your mouth before sending it to us. Your video will be featured as a small portion of the final published video. But if you want to show up on our channel with your full face, we very much appreciate it.
We’ll list you as Voice Actor with direct links to your socials in the description of the published video + CTA in the comment section. But more than that, we expect to have long-term relationships and make friends. We seek diversity and want to support small channels, so we’re willing to collaborate with as many people as we can.
Our audience are English learners who come from all over the world who want to consume British content. They’re the most eager for original British channels.
So if you’re interested, don’t hesitate to send us a sample video recording your mouth speaking this script: “There’s a sheep grazing on your lawn. Betty wants to bring it some water. What do you think?”
We expect casual and relaxed tone (as if you are speaking with someone, not just reading a text). The video should be in the condition that you intend to do the real records in afterwards.
Send to: dquan@vk.com
Title: British Collaboration Offer + [Your Full Name]
Include your channel link.
No need to write anything more. Save your time. We’ll reply as soon as we can. But don’t wait for our reply, we know it’s not good for your mental health.
P/S: our twin channel focuses on American accent will soon run again (currently has 10k subs, paused to reconstruct both channels), so if you’re interested in future collaboration, please do contact us, but with this script:
“We will find you some water. Anyway, I was thinking we could grab a coffee later and catch up.”

Thank you all!
Hello I'm looking to tell the story of how I died in a mva (motor vehicle accident) in 2017 and talk abit of the brain damage I now have because of it but I myself am quite bad at writing and am there for requesting the help of somebody who may just enjoy writing and wants to lend me a helping hand :)
I heard Youtube allows 3 minute shorts but in the uploader it still limits to 60 seconds?
Is it better to do long form videos or short? 5 minutes vs 60 minutes?
Hi all,
I was playing Overcooked recently and when I posted videos about it, they got 10 times less views than my most watched gameplays. I wonder, should I deviate my focus to newer games?
Thanks,
VictVideo
so i started my channel 4 months ago and i was soo excited , after 10 videos i bought viewed twice and only 100 views once uploaded, i thought it will make people click if they see a number not no views or 1 views, and it worked i got more subscribers and viewers, and never did it again , but since then my viewer number has been so bad , barely 100 views and the number of subscribers decrease.. with a full time job and my slow editing and the time i spend researching and scripting this has become really demotivating, does a channel ever go back to normal or this is the way it is?
Hi! I wonder if there is a "healthy" percentage between them to determine that a channel is working well.
Last week I got about 1000 views and 3 subscribers. Is that not much or does one thing really have nothing to do with the other?
Thank you.
Hey Y'all, I am a small channel with 57 subs that has been off and on ish in the funny gaming content niche (going for like Smii7y, etc.). Looking for some advice. My channel has been very stagnant with views, subs, and all around progress. I am terrible at editing videos and do not have the time to do it so I have someone do them for me. However, I do make my own thumbnails. Advice I am seeking is: Are my thumbnails dragging me down, is it my content, my style of videos, the choice of games, or execution of the videos like the description/title? Really want to assess where y'all think I could be going wrong here so I can continue to grow and spread laughter one day/sub at a time!
My newest video seems to have a huge drop off in the first 15 seconds and lower watch time altogether. Coincidentally, this is the first YouTube video that I’ve added time stamps.
I’m concerned the timestamps have led people to skip the “hook” in the intro and therefore aren’t as engaged in the video, and are only watching small parts of the video before leaving.
But, maybe I’m wrong. What’s your experience with time stamps in videos? Do you use them? Have you noticed any increase or decrease in viewers, watch time, subs with or without them?
I keep seeing many people who mention that they probably wouldn't have started gaining lots of views and subs without a small initial boost at the beginning. And my question is.. What kind of boost?
