I was importing a mp4 scene pack from my usb c file and it said “importing files” it lasted more than usual and then said “not responding”, this only happens with that specific scene pack any other one i import doesn’t give me problems, just to clarify i have deleted and reinstalled the scene pack more than twice, i have restarted my computer several times and i ran after effects as administrator but nothing works…

Im not sure if its compatible with after effects or not because idk how to check if it is, but for all i know it should be an mp4 and the scene pack is in fact an mp4 so i don’t really understand whats going on and why ae is acting the way it is

I just switched hard drives and am trying to relink files in a monster sized Ae project. For smaller projects, things relink just fine, but when they get to a certain size, if I try to relink one file Adobe stops responding and crashes trying to relink everything else. If I’m on a deadline and only need to work on a part of something quickly, is there a way I can relink only one or some files in the project? Or would I just have to save it as a new project and delete everything I knew wouldn’t be relevant? Thank you!

I have a shot of some gas tanks that are behind a chain link fence. I need to remove a logo on the tanks, but the as camera moves up the fence goes over the logo. Content aware is having a hard time understanding the shot and creates some weird movement as if the fence is melting. Any suggestions on how to get a clean logo removal when there is a moving chain link fence in front of the logo? Pic for reference

Hi, I want to insert a logo into a shirt. I am following this tutorial (I'm doing the exact same steps up to minute 2:30). But when I hit play, the logo doesn't follow the tracked warp. Help pls

Is there a way to rig up a slider or another control to push and pull objects away from an anchor point? I know this can be done with repeaters but I would like to do this with imported objects and images.

I'm using the Saber plugin (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=reSXGxkyr0k) to create this glowing flow effect. However, just before one flow ends, a new one begins, which makes it difficult to control the timing. I'm trying to align multiple flows in a single image, as shown in the last screencast.

The goal is to adjust the flows so they all move at roughly the same speed: the longer the path, the longer the flow should take to complete it. Once the longest path finishes, I want all the flows to start again simultaneously.

It would be ideal to have a single loop, without a new flow starting before the previous one ends. Any suggestions on how to achieve this?

Hey guys, I'm in the process of building my first pc for motion design/video editing/VFX/3D modeling and I'm in a dilemma regarding which GPU and CPU to choose.

Firstly, when it comes to CPU, I'm between Ryzen 9 7900x (~380€/414$) and Ryzen 9 9900x (~510€/556$). 9900x is pretty expensive for my budget, but I'd be willing to wait for a month or two for its price to drop as it usually happens, if it's really worth it. Do you think it's worth waiting or will the 7900x be good enough?

Regarding the GPU, I was going to get the Radeon RX 7700 XT 12GB but I kept seeing Nvidia is preferred when it comes to GPU so I was looking into the RTX 4060 Ti 16GB. However, I keep seeing mixed reviews about it and I'm perplexed to say the least :ρ. Which one would you recommend?

PS: I'd really value your opinions as the majority of reviews I'm seeing are focused on gaming which isn't my main concern. Thanks in advance!

I have a question regarding the tracking/spacing text effect. Is there a way the inserted texture to move with the letters? Because if the texture (JPEG set to Alpha Matte) is static and when I set the tracking effect, the texture looks animated (inside the letters) and that's sound logical since the letters are moving over the background. I’ve tried to play with the motion/position of the background, but was unable to achieve the desired results. The only way was to use fractal noise texture instead of using track matte JPEGs. Btw, the RG Texturize effect have the same "issue" when spacing is used. I even created the text in PS and inserted it into AE and selected the layer to be converted to editable text, but when the spacing is applied and then the same is happening. I usually use a workaround (exporting to alpha) and then applying motion in PP or in AE (for the final stage), but PP doesn't have spacing/tracking animation, so that is not possible. I achieved a similar effect by simply using the Scale by unlink the X and Y and by animating the text horizontally a bit. Any elegant solution for this kind of problem?

In the image, you can clearly see a tower in the background, and there are these rotating circular lines surrounding it. I'm curious about how they achieved this effect.

Do you think the rotating lines are created with something like LoopFlow, or is there another trick involved? I really like the look, but I’m not sure exactly what the most efficient way to animate those circular lines would be.
