Would love to see if anyone has this mug and is willing to sell, doesn't matter if new or used.
To my knowledge, it hasnt ever been mentioned. Do we take it litterally, that Prime just left his family and truly never came back, and that his Diane ended up dying with the rest when he used the Omega Device. Or do we think that he killed his Diane, which would mean he had to of done it in a way where Beth or the government never found out and never questioned anything?
Maybe worse, I mean for R&M it's just void of any really funny moments
At one point or another in this show, I've hated every single member of the Smith family, Space Beth included, except Rick. It's ironic that the one character the show explicitly points out as unlikable is still likable to me. And I'm not one of those fans who say Rick is a great role model. He is without a doubt a gigantic piece of shit. However, he has been consistently written in a way that makes him one of the most tolerable characters in the entire show. Morty had this type of writing too at first, but in recent seasons, he's become insufferable. Beth always sucked and Summer is all over the place, but mostly bad. Space Beth is the worst, plain and simple. Jerry can be likable at points, but it's never consistent. Rick is the only main character who's watchable even in the worst seasons.
I try to watch it on the midnight run on Toonami and it's weird enough as it is and hard for me to focus on what's going on due to the subtitles. I end up not understanding what's happening and it feels like 1 minute is actually 5 or 10 in reality and I'm lost. The English version doesn't really help much except make it easier to listen without looking at subtitles. At first, I simply didn't like how it didn't feel like the original; but now it just genuinely feels so weird to watch. I know Rick and Morty will have subplots here and there, but the anime is just so hard to understand because the plot will change.
Anyone help me put a price on this thing, or gimme a clue on how to list it? I'm from an esteemed group of dumbs and could use some input on this thing. Broke, outta work, need $$ for rent. Its got a quote about mulan sauce.
Thanks for the insight, got the answers I needed thanks!
First off, the original Japanese voice acting with subtitles is the only way to make it watchable, the English dialogue and voices are absolutely terrible.
How I understand the plot so far:
Am I crazy or is this nowhere near as convoluted as people are making it out to be? If I understand it correctly, it’s not too far beyond anything that would be in a standard episode. The only big difference is the very anime-ish “show don’t tell, more details will be revealed later on so you’re supposed to be confused for now” approach.
What’s Rick and Morty the anime? Is it an entirely different show? Does it have a different plot? Different voice actors? What’s the general purpose?
Where can I watch it and when?
At the end of Tales from the Citadel we learn that Evil Morty changed the curriculum in citadel's schools and allowed cops to kill their partners. In the finale of Season 5 we can see that Evil Morty made the citadel look more egalitarian (Ricks and Morty are supposedly treated as equals) and made cops protect "citadel's tourism attraction". All the while he used Morty's as slaves.
I suppose the fact that Cop Rick got away with killing his partner is a reference to giving cops more power so that they can be better at protecting Evil Morty's dictatorship.
Protecting tourism and making the citadel look nice could be to stop people from revolting and get money off tourism. Although this already seems like a stretch.
Using Morty's as slaves is likely because Morty's are just better slaves than Ricks due to their personality traits.
But changing the school curriculum doesn't make any sense. He still uses Morty's as slaves so he wouldn't want them to be more independent from Ricks. The current curriculum is already full of propaganda so there's no reason to change it.
It really feels like we're missing some episode as to what happened in between. What are your thoughts?
Im really confused abt the lore, and given s7 e5, i think the morty we see as THE morty throughout the show is morty prime, or am i wrong? Rick prime said "there we go, og grandson" or smth like that, thinking it was "morty c137" and not evil mortyy
Disclaimer: I know about the deleted scene, that might be non canon, or just rick c-500a being an ass on the citadel. Also I'm p sure someone made this connection already and I just don't know the right keywords to google
Ok so by the end of rixty minutes c-500a jerry confesses to beth, and she apparently falls for him there, or maybe she was already into him, who knows, thing is very successful man has a breakdown over missing "the one that got away"? Kinda seems like the sort of thing the citadel would do to cause more mortys, or at least an early attempt at it since we only see teen Beth and jerry being coupled in the episode before it becomes just cloning.
Also in this same reveal sequence, the universes that are shown having ricks be delivered mortys get kinda, properly attatched to the central finite curve (universes where rick is the smartest) only after rick has a Morty, maybe this implies that a rick without a Morty isnt the smartest thing in his universe? Maybe they physically need a Morty for some science lore stuff in order to be the smartest in the universe
In the season 7 poster, he appears behind rick, next to rick prime and sasquatch (all where "evil" at some point)
What could this mean? Could it mean, that like rick prime, they are closing his story, but then would it make sens considering that sasquatch was never seen in previouse seasons... are they just trying to throw everyone off... or it could mean that they are all his enemies sooner or later, sasquatch was left alone in the foresst, maybe hel comme to hate rick, and maybe poopybutthole will also come to hate rick att some point?
Which Rick and Morty character are you Quiz
Made this quiz, I'm April which is atleast not Jerry.
Hypothetically I know that the Morty Time was like 2 minutes or something like that but was the experience like Salvia in you think you lived an entire Timeline?
I was thinking about the fact that Rick Prime killed all Diane’s and quite a few Beth’s, not to mention a lot of Diane’s were killed before they had Beth. then how are there enough Morty’s that there are more Morty’s than ricks, as we see that Morty’s are put up for adoption and abandoned quite often in the Citadel episodes. Do they clone thousands of Morty’s, if so was there a original Morty’s all the other ones are cloned from? This also raised the question of Froopy Land, Rick C-137 claims to have made it for child Beth but C-137 never had a child Beth to make one for so how would he know everything about Froopy Land?
We all know Rick's IQ is extremely high, being a polymath who is knowledgeable in all fields of science. But his eq is a different story. I would estimate it to be around 80-95. Though Rick is definitely emotionally stunted due to what happened with Diane and Beth + a lifetime in the galaxy.
Ik that Rick and Morty say they’re from earth C137 but is that they’re earth that they’re ORIGINALLY from or the one that they currently live on? (Bc they switched earths when things went south)
Are there any free streaming services that I can watch rick and morty without signing up?
C137’s arch enemy — Rick Prime — has been destroyed. So where do we go from here?
Evil Morty is an incredible character, but a terrible antagonist.
Yes, he is probably the best character in the show outside of 137. But does that make him a good big bad? His whole goal is to “monologue and fuck off.”
How can your big bad be someone who just wants to be left alone? Yeah he has the Omega device but that’s not a threat from someone with no motivation to use if left unbothered.
So where do we go from here? What will bother Evil Morty into using the Omega Device? Does C137 have an itch to scratch with respect to Evil Morty the way he did with Rick Prime?
If not, will we need a new irritant to get things scratching again?
Thoughts?
If anyone is good at game design plz plz make the mortypad🙏 Its all I need in my life
I know this season has its haters and not every episode is great, but I do enjoy this season despite its flaws. "The Rickshank Redemption" is the best season premiere in the whole show, "The Ricklantis Mixup" is an INCREDIBLE showcase of the show's formerly excellent storytelling, Rick's battle with the President in the season finale was fun, hell, I even like the universally hated Vindicators episode. Seriously, I do NOT get why people hate it so much. Some people say it was because they changed writers or something, but I don't know. If anything, "The ABCs of Beth" was WAY worse than that episode. But yeah, I'm a fan of Season 3. It still has everything I liked about the show before it shit the bed in Season 4.
Combine the hole and Mr Meeseeks killing himself as the mission to conquer his fears. Here's some character dialogue
"The only way to feel alive" "Right, long pause, inpatient tone you missed a spot champ"
"Owe"
Hey everyone - I’m surprised there aren’t any YouTube videos diving into what I feel continues to be the biggest unsolved mystery in Rick and Morty. And that is the question of who is the “baby Morty” in all of Rick C137’s memories.
This baby Morty is referenced 2 times to my knowledge:
Season 1, Ep 10: C137 has a memory of himself picking up a baby Morty, which leads him to tear up
Season 2, Ep 5: Morty Prime sees a picture of C137 holding a baby Morty and asks Bird person “Who’s that baby?” Bird Person doesn’t answer.
But a potential third reference is the biggest mystery: in Season 1, Ep 10, at the end of the episode, C137 tells Morty Prime “ just don’t get too big for your loafers, buster brown. A cocky Morty can lead to some big problems. It can be a real bad thing for everybody.” Morty asks “Oh yeah how’s that?” And C137 responds: “I’ll explain when you’re older.” I will call the Morty referenced here as Problem Morty.
So what this tells me is that C137 has some kind of big past experience with with a Baby Morty (from the photo and the memory) and a Problem Morty (from Rick’s warning) that we have not yet explored or found the answers to, to my knowledge. Both the Baby Morty and the Problem Morty could be the same person. I don’t think this Baby Morty and this Problem Morty are Evil Morty, because Evil Morty’s backstory was revealed in season 7, and it doesn’t seem to have a connection to C137.
So who is the Baby Morty in C137’s memories, and who is the Problem Morty that C137 warns Prime Morty about? Have these questions ever been answered? Do C137 and Morty Prime have a deeper connection than what we know about now? Is there some other canon Morty who will be revealed down the line?
Thoughts?
It’s just something I keep thinking about a lot, I would love to hear your thoughts.
So my friend and I were watching R&M and was wondering if anything from the show is possible. For example Ricks portal or computer, how would that work with real world physics being applied. Also which of his tech are we close to having in the real world?
When you think about it, we know next to nothing about Rick’s life from before Beth was born, the only thing we’ve seen is at the end of the memory rick episode. Well, during Fear No Mort Rick said something pretty interesting to Diane.
I've seen that robot's arms. Yeah, I used them on a law enforcement drone that the Feds had me build. It's how we, uh -- How I met my wife.
it could be possible that Rick meet Diane while he was working for the galactic federation. maybe there the ones that first helped him with space travel in the beginning
Often, in real life, it is because someone needs help physically or is confused. This is not the case with Sanchez by a long shot. Sometimes it is financial, but I would guess if Rick wanted to make money, he could -- he could portal into a bank vault, right?
On the other hand, he says he wishes he owned the rights to Jerry daycare centers (what an idea, I mean for the show, that was) but he may not be serious. I just don't believe money is a problem for him.
Does he simply like being near his family? Or more deviously, does he need them for cover?
