What salt do you use and recommend? Like a good quality sea salt maybe I’m not sure what to look for.
I've been interested in making my own plant milk for some time but I don't really have any ideas on what I could do with it.
So far I've thought about using it in my chia pudding.. or making a cereal
But also, would you guys straight up drink your plant milk? I haven't drank cows milk for over 1 year but I get cravings for it all the time still, just not sure if plant milk would actually help and serve as a good substitute on it's own
I've noticed that drinking nothing but fresh pressed orange juice not too long after waking up gives me a ton of energy. I know it's the fruit sugar, of course, but I'm kind of amazed at just how high and steady of an energy source it is. Lots of people seem to think that sugar in morning would cause a blood sugar crash, but that hasn't been the case for me. I had been drinking oat milk chai lattes for the past few weeks due to the cold weather and an attempt to reduce my caffeine intake, but they were quite dehydrating and made me crave baked sweets. Fresh pressed orange juice immediately hydrates me (e.g. when I wake up, my skin and lips can be dry but that goes away almost right after drinking 8-10 oz of juice) and makes me feel like I can go for a run, lol.
A part of me wants to try a juice fast because I love the energy I get from it, but I know I don't want to be in the kitchen juicing all day, lol.

For close to a year now I’ve been starting and failing at a raw vegan diet. The longest I’ve been able to stay on track was a little over a month. What has helped you finally stick to this lifestyle? What are some ways to break food addictions cycles? Besides the obvious of getting full off of raw food🥲.

It all builds trust, and I do one free consult then after we can decide if you'd like to pay me or you've had enough info to fly from the best, and crush it yourself!!
I've noticed that a few raw vegans mention staying away from oil and salt, and I was curious as to why. Does anyone else avoid these two things? If so, why?
Personally, I've noticed that eating oil and salt increase my cravings for them in a way that feels a tad problematic. It's natural to crave more of what we often eat, but I've noticed savory raw vegan foods in general tend to be quite addictive. I'm noticing that my body prefers foods that are simple (e.g. fruit), simply made (really basic salads), and quick/easy to digest (e.g. fresh pressed juice). Whenever I eat heftier and more savory raw vegan meals, I've noticed that they tend to dehydrate me (likely due to them requiring more digestive effort and therefore more hydration), and I have to drink 32oz of water almost immediately.
Anyone else have interesting experiences with oil and salt they want to share? Or reasons for avoiding either?
Hi!! I'm transitioning to raw vegan. I eat raw most of the day and just have soup usually for dinner. My goal by this summer is to transition to fully raw. It is amazing how much energy I have now it's like being on coffee for the whole day minus the anxiety and crashes lol. Anyways I just wanted to say hello! I'm 18 and a girl, and I'm really glad I found this lifestyle at this age. Back when I was 16 I was vegan for a whole year, but I wasn't eating very healthy and I was under eating, I was thin as well. With lots of research I've found this way of eating and I feel a million times better. I'm glad there's a community on here for raw vegans y'all are awesome

Even in the raw vegan community, I see so many people, not living, to their highest potential, the mind is very deceiving, always in the feel good, crash train
Life in a blue zone, people routinely, live past 100 years of age, here in America some make it to 90 on meat and other jargon, and we never ask, if they were on fruit only, and soft tender leaves, what more would they be able to do/create.
It often gets overlooked that powerful question, most just fall into mourning, and sadness, and continue on their ways, without ever examining,
Fasting is the most powerful healing tool we all have,
So are choices, you can either choose to assist your death daily, or you can not, and live a very, powerful life, full of insanely high energy, clarity, authenticity, love, compassion, fast, high-speed, faster than most computers, those powers can be unlocked,
It goes beyond just diet, a lot of it is, in the mind for super I can do anything, powers. Which is very real,
We all are here to create. Others opinions go about a quarter of the way, your intuition goes much much farther.
You couple all of this together, clean diet, learning the mind control not of others, but if in your own head, unlocking super powers, manifesting reality in the physical realm
Ultimate power, ultimate wealth, ultimate health
I'm living proof
I wouldn't type this up to play hoopla joopla crapola with anyone who decides to get this far in reading,
I'm honest, authentic, nothing to hide person,
I use to smoke like a sailor and eat flesh daily, I got cancer, flipped my entire life in 3 months and continue to learn, my life is very rich in knowledge, and everything I touch turns gold, the power of the universe my greatest teacher and guider
Patience is your best clock
Peace & love ✌️
I already battle with it but it's felt a bit worse lately... I've been strictly raw since January first... just feel so much doom for some reason Nightmares Sadness
Obviously not fresh grown ones. But are the other ones cooked, or are they just dried then rehydrated and if so does that count?
And if they are ok, are canned ones ok or are they cooked?
If anyone knowm thanks in advance
Firstly, sorry if this is formatted oddly. This is my first time making a post here.
Context; I made the decision to go high raw (80-90% raw) after my health changed while eating a ultra processed vegetarian diet. My blood pressure was so high one day my doctor literally wouldn't let me leave the office until it began droppingn(after she had me take 2 medicines at once). Right now, I'm on hope medication daily and it's the highest dose possible. Weight wise, I'm at the highest weight I've ever been and it's making things worse. My doctor told me to cut out salt (no added salt, no cooking with it, nothing), stick to whole foods only, cut out gluten, and monitor my protein intake (minimum 45g a day).
Now, I'm ashamed to admit it, but I have a lot of foods which are high salt, ultra processed and such in my freezer and pantry. Unfortunately it's not an option to give it away since my family is ALSO on strict eating patterns, so they wont take it. I don't know what to do with the food other than a raw til 4 style until it's all gone and slowly replace things but doing this lately has made it REALLY had to eat raw food consistently since either just crave more of the processed stuff. could I have some opinions on what to do here?
Maybe I'm not thinking of everything lol
I went raw vegan for 40 days to detox and now want to eat cooked foods but where do I start? I’m sure my body has gotten used to raw foods and I want to slowly start eating heated foods so I don’t stress my body out or anything.
These fresh rolls have been my go to when eating Raw, and fasting. Fast, Healthy, and Delicious!
Curious if she has a new social platform, haven't seen any updates in a while. Missing that southern charm!
Normally i just do fruit for breakfast but this morning i decided to have almond butter with my apples and bananas. After eating breakfast im normally able to use the bathroom (lol) but this morning i feel blocked. Is this because of the fats in the almond butter? Ive heard that fat in the morning can stop your digestive system.
Spinach, zucchini, carrot, mung bean sprouts, sunflower seeds. For dressing i mingled with half lemon and some dried herbs + black pepper. Yumyumyum🤤was gonna be sauerkraut and pumpkin seeds on here too, but i knocked it off the counter and it broke and spilled everywhere, not fun🫠
I made beets yesterday. Soaked them in the hottest water I could stand. Then peeled and cut them. Then put them in a tupperware bowl...added purified water, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, minced garlic and Italian seasoning(basil, oregano, rosemary, thyme, parsley) and let it soak until this morning in the refrigerator. They came out good. And I can use the seasoned juice for salad dressing. #win #win
Protein is required for repair activities, liver regeneration etc, but I assume Raw Vegans, by virtue of having healthier cells and much less toxic livers would need less protein. Add to that the fact that we don't destroy food enzymes which I think our body would've otherwise produced with help of proteins.
Does it make sense?
Anyone knows more such reasons which make us require less proteins or any other nutrients?
Or anything we would need more of, than cooking vegans or vegetarians?
Hi everyone.
My mom says that it's hard to digest raw foods, and thus they should not be eaten at night.
But I also know I don't want heavy, gooey, sticky stuff inside me before night and want something fresh and antioxidant rich instead.
What raw foods can I eat at night which won't be too hard to digest? Because I assume her reasoning is strong too (her solution is not tho).
Or would you say that she's concerned over something quite unimportant?
Im in polk co and just curious if anyone is near and would like to share where to get the best produce and what restaurants have the best available food.
So I’ve been going a lot, which is good. However! When I fart… it’s not just a fart and I have to hold it in. Just now I relaxed a little too much and I could feel myself have to go
I am currently detoxing for health reasons and I’m pretty sure I have gut issues- because I have “mild” liver issues
The farts smell like… well poop? 💩
Hi,
I quit table salt three weeks ago, along with going fully raw.
Anyone else? If so: Where do you get your salts from? Tons of parsley and celery?
(for now, I don't have any negative effects, but I know from experience that eventually, my blood pressure will go really low)
Do you eat sea weed etc. for iodine?
And: how much?
Are there good books/experts on this topic?
Thx in advance!
Hi!
I'm not new to the raw vegan diet. In fact, I had a raw food cafe for 6 years but it closed 2015. Since then I've done a few "raw food challenges" where I've eaten raw for a few weeks but haven't been strict about it and it's felt good and I've looked so much more fresh and healthy.
Anyway, I'm older now, 44, and I just remembered when we detoxed my dad and my MIL (not at the same time) with RF, both noticed a huge difference when it came to joint pain and my dad actually ate RF for 6 months afterwards.
Since I'm tired all the time and my body aches and my husband also has his problems we decided we'd do a real living food month (to start with). Ann Wigmore energy soup, wheatgrass shots, rejuvelac and raw vegan with lots of sprouts, sauerkraut and greens. I also take iron supplements and started with D and B12.
I'm on day 16. Keeping raw has been easier that usual, despite the winter, but I'm not noticing ANY benefits. I don't even look nicer (which I always used to notice eating RF before). I'm exhausted, achy and an itch on my foot I thought I had gotten rid of is now back. And I haven't lost a single kilo despite being quite active.
And now, I look at the raw dishes we make and they just make me angry and miserable, especially in the kitchen evenings when making delicious cooked meals for the kids...
Anyone recognises this? And if so, have you kept at it and noticed benefits after a longer time?
Edit: spelling
UPDATE: I'm pregnant. It's very early and it will probably end with a chemical pregnancy as have all the other pregnancies these last 3 years (5 or 6) but it might explain my lethargy and right now close to depressive mood.
Im just curious. I might write a paper about it. But I'm very curious of the reasons why. I had a patient in the hospital the had gone RAW to regulate her diabetes she had not been on insulin for 3 years but still tested. I like how I feel and my gut health. What about everyone else?
Does anyone fermented veggies or otherly alter veggies for consumption?
