About 10 years ago, a person told me that they killed someone. However, I’m a true crime junkie and have never found any evidence of the supposed crime. I was told it happened in Rapid City in 2013. I do not want to post the detail because I’m afraid that person might find this. I’m scared of this somewhat unstable person for several unrelated reasons.
I have felt like I should tell police for years. But I’m worried that the whole things might be untrue. Any advice?
Any book clubs around here?
Is Philly Ted's open again? My friends and I stopped on a road trip last year to find out it had 'closed'. My friend is under the impression it's open again, can someone confirm this for me?
I use straight talk and have the whole time I have lived here. Sometimes there are deadzones but I expect that with the hills. But starting this last saturday my phone keeps saying I'm roaming and I cant make or receive calls or use data. Anyone else having problems?
I am currently chatting with them for the 3rd time and have called twice, so far they have not been helpful.
Open your eyes, why else would krusty be put up for homeland security? Without a doubt it’s because of the role she played in the election tampering. Demand a Recount for Every Vote. Including the non-presidential votes, because this unfaithful monster can’t be trusted with our choice and bodily autonomy. Join the movement:

Is there a restaurant here in rapid that I can get a good quality steak and eggs meal at?
I literally sat through 5 red lights because the people in front of me couldn't understand this concept. I swear I see this problem every single day
We’re not interested in selling our house, and I’ve never heard of the Kremans. I’m just curious if they’re targeting certain neighborhoods or houses at certain price points. Our house is in North Rapid, so I can’t imagine the location is 100% desirable.
Some pretty common mistakes I see made in rapid every day.
When a lane of traffic is closed ahead, you do not need to merge into the open lane a mile early. The reason they put the signs up is to let you know that the lane is closed ahead and you can merge when you reach the cones. These mile long lines because people choose to merge early are just foolish. And I don’t know what the issue is with this city and people zipper merging, but having the mentality of a kindergartners and not letting people merge is just immature and foolish. zipper merging is efficient, get with the times.
When you’re turning right coming off of east north onto Eglin, that is a merge lane that you do not need to stop at. Just keep going. You just look foolish stopping there.
For the love of God stop doing 50 miles an hour in the left lane on I 90.
The Sport Bike drag race circuit that takes place in front of Hanson Larson Memorial Park is getting pretty old. No one is impressed, and honestly it’s only a matter of time before one of you dumps your bike into the side of a car and we’re all gonna have to hear about how tragic it was and how no one knows why it happened, modern mystery. Just go park with the rest of stock traffic rapid city calls a car scene and shut the fuck up. We all would thank you.
Stop driving around with your high beams on. Seriously. A headlight is $15 bucks. Quit being lazy.
Stop slowly rolling into the middle of the 4 way in the turn lane when the light turns green and there’s a mile of oncoming cars. The light is just going to turn red and you’ll be in the middle of the road looking like an idiot.
Thanks for coming to my ted talk.
Anyone have a plumber they’d recommend to switch out a water heater? I’ve gotten quotes from Loyal Plumbing, who charged me $100 just for a quote with no actual work, and Action Mechanical because I’ve used them before for varies smaller projects, and they always do a decent job. They’re just kinda spendy. TIA
In the fall of 2021 it was announced that Rapid would be the new site of Aesir Technologies nickel/zinc battery plant and provide about a thousand jobs to the area. Since then, I haven't heard anything else about it. Does anyone know anything?
Just wondering about the experiance. Its on my lost of newer places to give a try. Anything stand out as a favorite must try dish?
Genuine question. Why the hell is Rapid so damn busy suddenly?
Rushmore Crossing is a nightmare to begin with, but this weekend it's even more so. Target and Walnart are packed with people just sitting and talking, taking ages to collect a single item, and just taking up an obnoxiously large amount of space. Stores generally moving at a strangely slow pace
What is going on? What is causing this this weekend?
This is random, but I'm looking for a used, I don't care what condition clawfoot bathtub for a project. Anyone have any leads around the area for one?
Hi all,
I moved to Rapid City from the east side recently and am looking for some groups to join where I can meet people interested in hunting and fishing. Mainly looking for some people to explore the hills with. Any advice or direction would be greatly appreciated. 🤙
Is there anyone in this town into wedgies
I'm new to Rapid City and attempted to finish this job in 1 week w/my Dad (who I flew out here) and we didn't make it. I'm looking for quality referrals to ppl who know what they're doing and can get the job done ASAP. Thanks in advance to anyone who helps and I posted a video to give an idea of what we're working with.
I have a friend coming in next week and we wanted to go hiking in the black hills. What are your favorite spots this time of year that are moderate hikes ? Nothing crazy. More beautiful but can add a degree of skill if it’s worth it. I appreciate and information.
I've been here 3 years and recently got back into fishing. I have been catching some absolute monsters at Sheridan Lake, which is sick, but!...I usually like fishing streams and rivers but everything is a bit low. Anyone have any stream and river spots they would like to pm me about? Bonus question: do people eat the stocked trout from the lakes?
Where can I go to get a free meal this weekend? Also, are there any other good things besides food that I can utilize? Thanks!
Are there any places in the Black Hills National Forest with short needle pine trees closer to Rapid City than Custer Crossing? We will have a newborn and were hoping to not have to drive as far to get the tree this year, but most areas near Rapid in the BHNF seem to only have very long needle trees.
Our kiddo did a nice oil painting on an over sized canvas so I can't just toss is on the all-in-one scanner in the basement, and frankly I'm not sure it's that good of a scanner anyway. They were going to give it to a friend as a gift, but I thought it might be nice to make a digital copy for them to keep, something decent enough they could make a print from if they wanted. I assume one or more of our local printers probably has the capabilities to scan and drop to USB or email but obviously quality is a concern. Anyone have recent experience?
This is last minute but throwing this up in case anyone wants it. I have the original piano from reptile gardens that the duck played.
I don’t recall what year it was removed but I remember it well as a kid.
It’s in a goodwill box in the car but I thought I would see if anyone had interest in it before it lost it’s story forever. I think I paid $75 for it 10 years ago at a flea market- it’s yours for free or whatever it’s worth to you.
It’s small- probably 2 feet wide and a foot tall and deep. Anyone with a kid or a duck or a museum have interest?
(Photo for reference- I couldn’t find any historical photos of the actual piano in use)
