Hey, does anyone know what’s going on with the Philippine Oriental Food Store on N. Minnesota? It’s totally cleared out, but the signs are still up and it looks like there is work being done on the inside of it? Any chance it’s coming back?
Hi! I 28F moved to SF a couple months ago from the other side of the world and while I’ve met quite a few nice people I would like to keep expanding my circle. I was thinking meeting au pairs because they would understand more the fact of being away from home (but I’m open to meeting other people too!) Is there an au pair facebook group or something similar here in SF? Thanks!
Looking for a place to do my hair and makeup for a wedding in January.
Im looking for a store where sell ON CLOUD running Shoes here en SF? any idea?
Im home sick and dreaming of ice fiahing. Is there ice on family park lake yet? Anyone test its thickness?
Stopped by Thanh Mai recently and noticed they changed the name to Fresh Asian Market. The store had been updated a bit. Does anyone know if it changed hands or did they just make some updates and rebrand it?
relatively new to sioux falls and i’m looking for a salon to get my hair cut at, hopefully at a reasonable price. what are some good places you’d recommend?
I forgot my keyfob for greatlife and was ignored by everyone. i went to the greatlife by tinners. So I just went up to the door and knocked, people just stared and an mid age lady shook her head no. So i waited outside for someone to come out. A guy came out and i asked if he could let me in because i forgot my card. He ignored me and shook his head. I understand he probably thought i was trying to sneak in, but at least show some decency.
Hi! I am looking to get something modeled and printed it would essentially be a toy, does anyone in town do that and want to help me with a project?
Hello, my oldest is going to middle school next year and we are trying to figure out what middle school band would be the best fit, for going to Lincoln marching band in high school? We are currently open enrolled so that won’t be an issue. Thank you!
I recently purchased an espresso machine. Where is your favorite local place to buy fresh coffee beans?
Short and sweet like that. Looking for a horror movie buddy. My last one sadly doesn't watch horror movies anymore since she found faith in the church. Nothing wrong with it but I hate watching them alone. Would prefer someone 21 to 35 so it stays around my age and can also kick back a few drinks.
Ho ho
I used to love airsoft when I was younger and would like to get I to it again does anyone know about any community or events that go on?
Hello everyone,
I am writing to seek your perspectives on a relocation opportunity. I am a recent arrival in this community and would appreciate your insights.
I am considering relocating from New York City to Sioux Falls, drawn to its reputation for tranquility and reduced urban stress. However, I am concerned about the local job market and housing availability.
In my professional background, I have extensive experience in hotel scheduling coordination, housekeeping supervision, and receptionist roles. I am currently pursuing a remote law degree in another country.
I would be grateful for any advice or recommendations you may have regarding the work environment and housing options in Sioux Falls.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Listen. i know it’s an unpopular opinion here but i actually really enjoy our sonic. Now, my problem lies in their hours. For the longest time they closed at midnight, but started closing at 10-11 because “corporate was getting on them for labor hours”
…well now they close at SEVEN ??? I loved going there after work and seeing the night crew , and now the two times i’ve stopped in since their hours have changed i haven’t seen any of my people from the night crew :( Do yall think they’re going to close it since they keep shortening the hours they are within business ?
EDIT: i have no idea why it’s formatting like this when posted. so sorry if it’s infuriating, i’m a fairly new redditor.
If you value your time and sanity, stay away from 41st and Louise. It is bumper to bumper and a lot of angry drivers.
If this was representative of their quality, I'll be shocked if they see summer. Absolutely terrible. The salsa tasted like canned tomatoes with tajin mixed in. I had to add salt. The food was bland to the point of being tasteless. My son had enchiladas, I had chimis. The chimichangas are just enchiladas tossed in the fryer. The chili Verde was red.... Taco bell has more authentic Mexican food than this place.... And better flavor.
I really hoped the new owners would bring the spark back.... I think it's gone the other way.
Sorry for the rant...
Hey all! I’m still on the fence about thinking about moving to Sioux Falls, and i’m looking for more advice. I’ve been looking at apartments online in the city. I’m thinking about touring a few during my college winter break coming up next month. Are there any apartments to stay away from? Any apartment recommendations? Any areas to not rent in? It would be my first apartment in Sioux Falls. I have rented an apartment once before (the one i currently rent in Minnesota.) I would be moving mid/end of May after I graduate college. Thank you in advance for any and all comments:)!
Looking for any or all Small Business Saturday deals around Sioux Falls?
As the title mentions my family moved here from Texas in August and this is our first time dealing with real winter conditions. My questions are should I be salting our walkways and steps to porch now and when is it time to shovel snow from walkways and sidewalks. We thought we would keep an eye on when our neighbors start and just follow their lead but haven't seen any activity yet. Like are there rules or guidelines to follow? We know we are ignorant of basic winter living knowledge and don't want to be bad neighbors.
For last minute ingredients
have they gotten any better? east side specifically
Hi, just like the title says, I'm looking for a place that provides thanksgiving meals. Also asking if anyone is willing to donate a ham or turkey etc. it's just me and my two little ones this year and funds are incredibly tight. Thanks so much for looking
After driving some more, I'll admit it's slicker than a toad out there. I was crass but seriously, don't drive if you don't have to!
There were accidents all over the place this afternoon on my way home down 229. The roads weren't even that bad. I drove up on this poor guy that was getting off of 29 south on 229 north and he caught the cable guardrail with his red Silverado and proceeded to remove the front end of his truck. Not a great way to start Thanksgiving. Thankfully he was out walking around so he's ok.
Hello everyone. Me and my family recently moved to SF from a year-round mostly sunny and hot country. We rent a house which one of the room (for us looks like the master bedroom) is in the attic. However, the heater is not working in the attic, we don’t think it is properly insulated and we are pretty sure there are air leaks. However we’ve never been in a place this cold and we are scared the attic will be unlivable by January. Just giving you an example, we always set the thermostat at 70 and upstairs we have a small space heater and the thermostat would be at 58. 12 degree difference.
Do any of you have a recommendation of what to do in this situation? There are vents here but we clearly don’t feel hot air coming from them. Also the landlord had the vents cleaned but this was not a solution.
Is it normal this happens in attic rooms? Do y’all get use to ir or I am not crazy and this temperature difference is not normal and will get worse?
Any suggestions or thoughts are appreciated!!
