Recently picked up a program A and the shutter has an intermittent firing issue, sometimes it fires without issue, and other times the shutter release does nothing, unless I hold it down whilst smacking the back of the camera. This method also triggers the self timer count when in self timer function. Any suggestions on what the issue could be?
Hi there!
I am considering pairing my Pentax KP with some Soviet lenses, particularly the Mir-1B, using a Pentax ring adapter. In your experience, how well does the focus confirmation work in such cases?
Thank you in advance!
Post your best image of the week and as much as you care to share about it.
Auto iso between 1600-3200, shutter speed 1/250, F5.6, underexposed, brightened and colour graded in photivo and denoised in Neat image v9. I love the shot and it proved I should believe in my camera and post processing power more than I have been, taken 8pm with light getting pretty difficult and the denoise handled it well.
I just bought a Pentax 645 and loaded it with film. It will not advance to the first frame. Went down the checklist about batteries being fresh and in place properly, film loaded correctly, etc, etc. When I first got the batteries in and I tried the camera without any film, I pressed the shutter and it advanced like mad. I had to shut the camera off. I loaded the film, pressed the shutter and then just a faint click and nothing. Checked everything many times! Any thoughts?
K70, f3.5, ISO 200, 81s.
It’s really hard to focus on the stars properly. Pentax k70 using astrotracer with oGPS2. ISO400, f3.5, 70s. 27mm.

I am very new to film photography and recently bought a K1000 since in my research it seemed like a good beginner option. I’ve always loved photography and understand the basics from playing around on my simple Nikon digital camera but venturing into something new. I am just curious what kind of lenses will fit on the Pentax k1000? Ex. If I want to get a telephoto lenses at some point, or a lenses for portraits, what do you recommend?
K3. Fa50 2.8 macro. Shooting stationary objects in afternoon light. Between iso 800 - 1600. At 160ms and up. What gives?
I just bought a Pentax iqzoom 700 and installed new batteries ( Energizer 123 lithium) but I keep getting the E0 error on the lcd panel. I tried installing the batteries the in the inverse orientation to see if it would change anything but it did not. Anyone know what might be going on?
