Samsung has been lackluster and it's odd because they have the resources & brand recognition to fix this overnight...smh

Samsung,

Why aren't you competing with the iPad Mini 🤬

Where is the Galaxy Tab 8.4 2020 refresh?! 😳

WHERE is the 8.X 120Hz OLED 5G, Fingerprint Android tab 🫠

WHERE is a new style, bigger, round, Thique S-Pen that goes inside your larger devices ?

🤯 You stopped being innovative and I hate it 👎

I shouldn't have to (contemplate) compliment my Tab S9 with an iPad mini 😕, there should be a Galaxy Tab in this smaller compact form factor with "pro" specs. The Galaxy Tab Active 5 and A9 are smaller in size, bad in price. Ridiculous. Tired of settling, and that's exactly what it feels like, if I get an iPad mini again, and even that latest release is BS, the size is perfect, STILL missing 120Hz, OLED. I think these devices are large enough that they can house larger S-Pen/Pencil inside the devices directly.

Then you only release a plus and ultra size with a SOC that isn't the same brand recognition as Snapdragon, what a mediocre "10th gen release of the Galaxy Tab series" lackluster. /

Recovering Notes from Bricked Phone?

Hi! So my Galaxy A53 just bricked 2 days ago out of nowhere. I was using it as normal, then it froze, and the screen turned black. I couldn't turn it on at all, even with charging etc,. I took it to a repair shop yesterday, and although the guy could get it to be recognised by the computer, it's basically in a coma state and can't be used at all.

So today I bought an A55, and while most of my stuff was backed up in some way or another, I can't access my old Samsung Notes. I had a lot of sentimental/important things in there that I really want, but I don't think they were synced on my old phone to my Samsung account, and nothing new comes up when I try to sync on my new one now that it's set up. Silly mistake I know, but I've always taken care of my phones, and whenever it comes time for a replacement, I've never had the case where my old phone turned into a useless brick with no way of accessing it.

It's a long shot but I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas if it's possible at all to recover my Notes from my old phone?

Thanks so much!

S24. It's awesome! But...

The keyboard is hands down the worst keyboard I have ever used. I had zero issues typing on my old Motorola Moto G Power, but I have to spend 3-4 times longer per message to fix all the typos and wrong predictions in every single post I share. Half the time I press space and it's the "n" key instead and I have watched it press N when I hit space. It's terrible. Is there a fix for this?

Galaxy Book 4 Pro

My niece has been after a Galaxy Book 4 Pro for a while but they've always been very expensive in the UK (like everywhere else!). I've tried to steer her towards other makes due to poor reviews of the Samsung but she's wedded to a very thin Windows laptop with a touchscreen.

She has noticed a few 'Brand new' ones on eBay for around £850. Just wondering if there may be an issue with a specific model or processor that she needs to be aware of and this is the reason for the price.

Is fast charging inherently stressful for the battery or just the high temperatures associated with it?

This summer I kept my S23 strictly in slow charging mode since I noticed that with fast charging the battery was getting to 42°C+ (Celsius) easily, and just 32-35°C with slow charging.

Now that temperatures are much cooler in my house I'm noticing that with fast charging phone battery gets around 32°C, while with slow charging it's about 25°C.

I think I remember reading that the ideal temperature for a phone battery is around 20°C and the further away it gets from it, the worse it is, meaning that the difference between 20°C and 30°C is small while the difference between 40°C and 50°C (or 0°C and -10°C) is huge.

So, is fast charging "bad" or just the extreme temperatures?

S24 magsafe power banks

What's the best magsafe charger than can fast charge the S24. Anything more than 7.5Ws.

Movespeed 5000mAh

Momax Q.mag 5000mAH Gen 2

I've looked at these two so far but I'm not sure if the 15w charging is for the iphone only (QI2 certified Devices).

What happend? I'm shaking to the bone!

Holy Mother of God, my tablet just updated, and I didn't think anything of it. That was until I tried to take a screenshot of my circuit drawing for university, just like I've done a thousand times before. Then it happened: a ridiculous, childish AI sparkly animation popped up. After my initial shock, I managed to recover from this, refocused and encircled my circuit drawing. I pressed “share” to upload the screenshot to my cloud for use on my PC. Then came the second shock— it felt like I’d been run over by a train: the screenshot was smaller than what I had selected!

This

to this

Also its wayyy slower than before.

Why, in the name of Jesus Christ, would you take a perfectly functioning snipping tool and turn it into this monstrosity?

Am I dreaming, this has to be a nightmare, right? Please, someone weak me up

The giant or its smaller sibling?

I am currently using S20+, and I was in no rush to replace it. However, the green line (two green lines) plague has taken over, and it is slowly becoming impossible to use the phone.

So now I am on the market searching for a new samsung. My questions is: should I purchase the S24+ or S24 Ultra?

Keep in mind I am a small person, with hands that are not gigantic

Does s23 support 25w & 15w only?

I folks I have this not just for s23 but for phones in general.

I tested my s23 with 20w, 18w & 15w chargers(original usb type c to type c cable), all bearing the same charging speed results as per ampereflow app i.e. (10-11watts).

My question is do phones charge only on limited/specific units, for eg s23 will charge only at 25w & 15w & not anything in between say 17 or 18 or 19 watts?

Whats the best price-performance phone to Upgrade to?

So for context, I am currently using an A52 (not the 5g version), but the battery is getting worse and worse, and it feels kind of slow, so Ive been thinking of, instead of changing the battery, maybe just buying a newer phone.

Is there any good Samsung Phone, that maybe isn't going to cost me thousands of dollars, but still has a decent or even good camera and isn't too slow?

Which one to pick ?

I'm confused Between Galaxy S22+ & S23FE . Both available on almost similar price . My preference is the older one because it's a proper flagship and not a cheap knockoff but I know how infamous the battery of the base variant was .

How Has the Camera Quality Evolved in the Samsung S Series Over the Years?

For those who have used multiple models in the Samsung S series, how do you feel the camera quality and performance have evolved over the years? I'm considering upgrading and would love to hear your insights.

How to disable faulty moisture detection in charge port?

I have an old Galaxy S9 that will often refuse to charge due to a faulty detection of moisture in the charging port. Any way to manually disable this? Obviously the phone is dry and sits on my desk most of the day

If you are having battery issues, read this

Hi, I thought the battery life on the Z Flip 6 sucked until I did a lot of experimenting, research, and exploring with settings and stuff. And I've basically made the phone a battery champ now. I figured to share my knowledge.

A lot of people may already know this, but I'm sharing it for those who don't.

Your phone has something called "sleep" or "deep sleep." When you stop using your phone and the screen is off for more than a min or so, it'll enter this state. While in this state, your phone battery should drain REALLY slowly. it's meant to be hyper-efficient on battery life and only use the bare minimum it can to stay on.

However, apps can "wake" up the phone to do small tasks. Like receive a notification, sync emails, small updates, etc. it'll only wake the phone up briefly, and the phone should go right back to sleep. however, for more complicated tasks, like playing a video in the background or music, that app will "wake lock" your phone until it stops doing what it needs to do. This means your phone wont ever go to sleep while the app is working. Even if the screen is off, this generally drains your battery much faster.

If your phone is draining battery really fast, it's likely that it's constantly being disturbed by SOMETHING. Either constantly waking it up over and over again, or something wake locking it. or both.

Some battery tracking apps, like Accubattery, will let you know your phone's deep sleep time. Your phone should have a deep sleep time over 50% usually and should be the majority of the screen off time. If it isn't, then SOMETHING is running in the background and killing your battery. However, your phone or even battery tracking apps will have a hard time assigning battery drainage percent to it. Since it's usually small enough to slip by (at least in my experience.)

But, if you go into your device care, battery, battery usage, and view details, it'll list all of the apps that have been used recently. If you click on each one, it'll show you all sorts of useful data. The most useful of which is under system resource usage.

Here it'll show you all the wake-ups, wake locks, and cpu use time. If this number is really high, especially compared to other apps, then you know which app is the culprit and which app to kill. Conveniently enough, it'll also give you the option to set background usage limits at the bottom. And this either puts the app to sleep or deep sleep. And deep sleep will make it so that it won't ever run in the background when you stop using it. Very useful.

You can run tests and see which one is causing your phone to wake up a lot by deep sleeping some apps. And your battery life should skyrocket once you figure out what's going on. it did for me, and my phone went from only lasting 12 hours max with 2-4 hours of screen on time, to 18-24 hours with 6-8 hours of screen on time.

P.S Ignore google play services. That one will have a ton of wakeups but that's because it needs to be on in order for android to run. It's how apps communicate to each other, and the phone breaks if you somehow figure out a way to disable it (it doesn't let you by default. And for good reason.) You can consider that one to be more of a "total" of how many times your phone has been awoken, since it'll mostly always awake as well as other apps whenever other apps need to wake up.

S23 ultra battery drop off

Hi guys, I bought s23 ultra in UAE. I have it for 1.5 years. The battery took a bit of nose dive around the 1 year mark.

I am a heavy user (texting and YT, YT music and bluetooth).

How do you find your battery drop off on your s23 Ultras?

P.s -do you think using the samsung ultra fast charger exclusively may have contributed to faster battery degradation?

Refurbished/Renewed question

I would like to purchase a Galaxy S22/+, 23+, 24+, and I often find renewed or refurbished phones for a much better price. What are the issues associated with purchasing a refurbished/renewed Galaxy? Are there security concerns, or operation issues? Thanks in advance.

Samsung TV OS Native Video Player issues

I've a Samsung QE65Q60CAUXXU TV and I find when I watch videos through video files via an external harddrive or USB the experience with their player/file explorer is quite bad. There's no search file name functionality, half the subtitle .srt files aren't detected or work and a lot of the video formats aren't supported.

Is there any app or alternative solution that could provide me with a better experience on the folder navigation (due to the lack of a search file name functionality) or provide a higher compatibility of .srt files or video formats?

That explains my recent drop in battery life...

https://preview.redd.it/1pdfbl9yu5yd1.jpg?width=6000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e6a5f3eae127360faba4581e170d8a16de932300

Context:

Recently my Samsung S22's battery estimate nose dives within seconds once it gets below 50%. I knew it was strange but figured maybe it just needs some charge cycles to recalibrate its estimate. In additions, my case started not fitting as snug as it usually would. After connecting the dots, I decided to take the case off to investigate. Low and behold, my battery is not long for this world.

Obviously, I will avoid using this phone as much as possible until I can get this fixed. Does anyone know if Samsung offers free battery replacements? I am outside of the 12 month warranty period and I do not have Samsung care.

Just went from a S7 edge to S10 because

Because I looked at S24 and found they only have 1080p display for a phone that is 900$+ lmao.

Rip my s7 edge lasted 9 years and the motherboard shorted out few days ago.

I have not even done a battery replacement on it.

Excited to still use a 1440p screen on the last best S series phone ever. (also like the edge design)

Do you think Samsung will re-release Samsung Internet on PC?

They have released a Windows version late last year but then took it out on April this year for unknown. Do you think Samsung will re-release it on PC. I’d probably even quit using Opera GX on PC due to how much I like Samsung Internet on my phone & tablet. And it would be logical to include Samsung Internet preinstalled with Galaxy Books.

Also sorry for using the Galaxy Book flair but since choosing a flair is mandatory, I chose the one that seemed the most related to my post, because it’d be logical to have Samsung Internet come preinstalled with Galaxy Books.

Location of a contact - want them all in google contacts

I try to have all my contacts in google contacts. When I look some contacts up on my phone, they are actually in the phone or samsung or an app contact account. I want to move them or duplicate them in my google contacts so I can find them when I am signed into google on my computer. I don't see how. I see linked contacts but no way to add a new link. It used to be that you could choose. BTW, when I go into google contacts, it also brings up all my accounts, but I can't switch it there either.
